    Chime Sharp retains the addictive gameplay of the original yet there are few innovations that make it a worthy sequel. That being said, it's worth adding to your collection for the brilliant soundtrack alone.

    Not entirely a puzzle game, Chime Sharp puts a lot of emphasis on agility and adds a truly enjoyable soundtrack to the mix. Yet the puzzles are needlessly confusing at times due to the game's colour scheme and the ever-running timer cranks up the frustration.

    Chime Sharp is like that old bicycle you’ve left in your garage for the past few years: the framework is solid, but the tires are flat. You take out your old hand-pump that barely works and start pumping away, and after all of the energy spent on that you can finally ride free. Perhaps my analogy is a bit cheesy, but it’s the truth. This game will not offer you a helping hand, so if you want to succeed, you’d best be prepared to put in a lot of effort. It might look a little bland, but it’s certainly not a bad way to spend some of your time. Honestly, if you’re a fan of electronic music and have a lot of patience, those are good reasons to try it.

    With great music, satisfying gameplay and a lot of replay value, Chime Sharp is definitely a puzzler worth your time. It’s a colourful journey through a world of vibrant melodies, with a degree of challenge sure to test even the most seasoned of genre fans. Whether you’re looking for short bursts of play or an afternoon of high-score hunting, Chime Sharp is not to be missed.

    Loved the original Chimed, but this one just isn't nearly as fun nor relaxing. In standard mode the time goes too fast so I don't even have enough time to think about what I'm doing. I basically have to rush and fill stuff up as fast as I can. Sharp mode is too difficult, and I can't even manage to get to %60 to unlock the other modes after it because I die too fast(you have health in it). The original chime at least had different time limits you could choose from, which made the game feel more laid back and you are able to enjoy the music more, but still had a sense of challenge. With this one, you only get like 2 minutes, and you might get some bonus time if you rush fast enough.

    The original chime was a much more trippy, relaxing and enjoyable experience, but this one seems to focus more on speed and challenge than the actual experience. The fact that I'm having problems completing even one Sharp mode basically means that the other half of the game is locked for me (you need to fill at least %60 in sharp mode to unlock other modes).

    Overall, It's still playable, just not nearly as enjoyable as the original. The music is also not as memorable(although maybe that's because I have such little time to progress & hear the full song).

    Chime sharp is a music meats Tetris styled puzzle game...
    The concept is simple.. make blocks, cover the board, increase your score while the game reads your shapes as notes…
    There are 16 different levels here that are unlocked as you get high enough scores on precious levels… all with 4 different modes to change the gameplay up that aren’t unlocked until you master the previous mode…
    And mastering these modes are very hard to do because of the games underlying problems…
    This is a puzzle game.. But the rounds go by so fast that I never felt I was using my brain...
    I was reacting, frantically rotating shapes and placing them trying to create blocks and fill up the score bar at the bottom…
    I felt there was never time for me to think ahead...
    Because of this I never felt I was making progress with the game… just that I was mindlessly going through levels getting lucky while some cool music played in the background…
    Another issue I have that also stops any feeling of progression is that every board gives you different shapes to use and it doesn’t tell you the shapes that level uses beforehand so you have no idea what to build for or how you should be setting up slots for future shapes..
    To be fair, you can eventually memorize the shapes for each level and make a note yourself... though you shouldn’t have to... but you can...
    But even if you do so, this will hardly matter for some levels because the difficulty of them are based solely on the color scheme of these levels…
    as you clear blocks they change colors and in some stages the color matches too closely with your shape in hand so it’s hard to see where you’re placing anything…
    Chime Sharp is a cool idea…
    But the timer is too fast.. It’s sometimes too hard to see the board… and the game constantly changes the rules without telling you…
    It’s an alright puzzle game… definitely a challenge…
    but for all of the wrong reasons.
