Chariot is a decent adventure when you go solo, but an excellent one when you bring a friend. You’ll definitely want to sit a partner down next to you to get the most out of this experience.

Chariot is one of the better platformers I’ve played of late. Played on your own, it is a good and challenging affair, but working in a pair pushes it up a few notches.

Chariot is quite the surprise. Its endearing style, smart design, and intuitive gameplay really hooked us, and we ended up having great fun in both single player and co-op. With a Platinum Trophy, and tons of content to tuck into, this is one carriage well worth riding.

While getting a handle on the physics-based challenges takes time, especially in co-op mode, what kind of puzzler would it be if it was easy?

Chariot is a fun, albeit slow-paced platformer with a refreshing art style and interesting concept.

It’s a competent but unambitious physics platformer – nothing more, and nothing less.

Chariot is a platform game that uses its unique physics to reel you over. It is a huge challenge to pull the kings kart, but if you are persistent, this is definitely the game for you. Either the sadistic humor or the local co-op will get you through.

Chariot is a great addition to my co-op game library, but alone it becomes tiresome. The physics are really new and figuring out the puzzles is entertaining.

Excellent game! I enjoy playing couch-coop games, and this is one of the best I've played so far. The game is a steal at 15$ on the PSN. TheExcellent game! I enjoy playing couch-coop games, and this is one of the best I've played so far. The game is a steal at 15$ on the PSN. The visuals are amazing, the humour is nothing to write home about, but still enough to get a smile here and there. The physics are not realistic, however they work for this game and are not frustrating and bring a lot to the gameplay. The only downside for me is that the music is a little bit lacking, there are a lot of moments without music which makes the game feel "empty" a little bit. Great game, highly recommended! This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. CHARIOT! WHAT A GAME!!!
A bit on the story: the King has passed and it's up to the princess (player 1) and the prince (player 2) to get his funeral chariot all the way to a tomb he'll like, somewhere deep within the kingdom's mines. But the old cranky ghost comments on our efforts and isn't content with just any tomb. And he wants loads of loot too! A story that could sound grim, but that is amazingly fun, challenging and very beautiful too.

Since we bought the PS4 I've been looking for a cool family game. I have a 9 years old son, and finding games he'll find fun, without being killfests, is a challenge. I read a review on Chariot and bought it. And at 14$, I was ready to try it right away.
CHARIOT is even more than what I was hoping for: it's a game my son enjoys playing WITH ME! And since we are not competing, I don't have to dumb-down my efforts, the better I am, the more the team is too (acually, my son is getting better than me at some moves!)
The game is a collaborative 2 player "couch-coop" game you can play with your wife, friend, son or daughter. And playing in collaboration is as fun, if not more fun than playing alone!
There seems to be a lot of levels, we have been through three different environments (summer, dark night and winter) and almost 14 levels, which we have not nearly all explored, and are still discovering plenty of new stuff.
Some challenges are harder than others, but I realized that we talk a lot while playing, which is pretty unique! And getting over a hard challenge (like a series of platforms smaller than the Chariot, or slippery slopes, etc) is super rewarding. I don't know where the game will take us next, but I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun getting there. No frustration yet, my son is patient and he really applies himself. We do a great team!
And the world is beautiful, the creatures look mysterious without being too scary, the characters are fun and my son likes the cranky King's ghost best! We're going to keep playing tonight for sure.
It is a truly fantastic game!

I thought the concept was good, the sights and sounds were wonderful, and the overall gameplay was right up my alley.

And then the levels got increasingly more difficult and frustrating. The introduction of ice was the beginning of the end for me. The amount of times I would try to scale up a mountain only to slip and fall all the way down. And of course you must rely on checkpoints in order to refrain from having to achieve hair-pulling feats over and over again.

And then comes the lava. And then the quicksand. Sadly once I reached about level 5-2 I decided I couldn't play the game any longer. It wasn't worth the frustration. Which is a shame because I really do enjoy this game a lot. The difficultly just became too much for me and wasn't willing to scream at my TV anymore.

If you're very good at video games then you might have more luck than I did.
