Mar 29, 2018After 30 years of this genre, I expected something a little more interesting. The difficulty controls are nice, but the gameplay is outdated and the content repetitive. A little more effort on the visuals would've been appreciated as well, in an age of truly impressive art styles in other games, but not here.
I feel like I played better games than this decades ago. -

Dec 27, 2022This game is very boring..... Super mario (1985) better than celefste it is very bad because it's always the same background and platform mechanics is very bad. Don't play celeste Super Mario(1985) is better than celeste.

Aug 8, 2023Celeste is a game that is often praised for its difficulty and its message of overcoming anxiety and depression. However, I found the game to be frustrating and exhausting, and I didn't find the message to be particularly helpful.

Mar 19, 2018Celeste is an beautiful, optimistic game about how triumph can outweigh any number of failures. It's about reconciling your pain, frustrations and defeats. It's about getting better, in every sense.

Mar 14, 2018Celeste is one of the most entertaining 2D platformers in recent years. It'll defeat you from time to time, but its inviting controls, level design, and presentation will keep you coming back until you persevere and overcome every challenge thrown your way.

Feb 27, 2018Celeste has a couple of hiccups in its aesthetics and tech, but the core of what Matt Thorson and his team have made contains a wonderful story of endurance and resilience for both the characters and the player, that begs not to be missed.
