Characters will tell you where to go and what to do.Also u have a radar on screen pointing to the objectives, in the first level while exploring the town u learn the ability to hold the touch pad and it will show where to go to get to the objectives so you are never lost.This game is a true 3Dplatformer.Some of the objectives u will have to complete to progress through the levels are climbing a tree to its highest point and jumping through a hoop.Trick or treating collecting ghosts to break the shield that guards the witch.Saving the witch by defeating zombies & lighting grave stones with ur fire blast.This game is a great collectahon.Each level has collectibles 50 coins 10 green monster 10/5 (depending on level )purple rings & the rarest collectible in the game the pumpkin.These collectibles are all throughout the levels even the boss fights.After unlocking them all the player will get a bonus level as well as a trophy I still haven't been able to find them all on my first play through some are hidden really well.On first play through the mazes are a challenge, throughout the game they get progressively more challenging as u progress.The satisfaction of beating the mazes is a great feeling if I did fail I found myself getting closer and closer on each following attempt.There are multiple enemies in Castle Costume you'll face The zombies -that guard the witches .The first and most common enemies.These are a one hit (from ur spin attack or fire blast )The spiders -The spiders are like planted bombs they never move get to close and they will grow or trigger and EXPLODE . Jump on there back and u kill them and get a boost into the sky .The small angry trees-u will come across them in later levels these can only be killed with ur fire blast however the spin stuns them giving time for u to fire your shot.The tormentor -a one eyed black ghostly figure with a book of evil spells he fires a ball that locks onto u in close proximity.These guys are a two hit from your spin or fire blast.There many other dangers in Castle Costume asides the enemies such as flamethrowers,cars,saws,lasers which you must avoid.There are 3 world's in Castle Costume and 15levels at the end of each world on the 5th level you will face a boss.Illusive Iris -The first boss you'll face.Iris is a bat protected by a shield with 5 lives to defeat her u must jump on her while attempting to do so she will fire her blast that tracks u similar to the tormentor but her ball is bigger and locks on further the less lives Iris has the more frequent she fires.Surrounding Iris is platformers left and right and barrels down the middle with health orbs and shields.The shields block her shot. If u run like a headless chicken you'll have no luck in this.If u tank the shots waiting for them to hit the shields then rushing to jump on her then Iris will go down quick.The Crow Coffer-a treasure chest that dwells inside a large ice cave.Flames surround this boss and u cannot get close to him like Iris.On ur side of the cave u have platforms and glowing orbs that u must use to navigate as the the room rises with water that hurts the player u must jump on top of the highest platformers while this happens.While u survive there is a giant torch that shoots fire balls at the Crow Coffer.When the boss gets low health he will summon these turrets that shoot the balls that lock onto the player forcing the player to move from the platform he is on.Then on the last health of the boss 2 lasers shoot across the map until the boss is defeated.Angry Aaron -The last boss fight takes place in Castle Costume surrounded by lava.The player spawns on a large circle platform looking at Aaron with four pumpkins surrounding the platform each shooting a laser forming a X. The player must avoid these lasers and survive as the witch's and there torch shoot Aaron taking his life away.The lasers from the pumpkins change direction. Going from anti clockwise to clockwise and vise versa throughout this fight.As Aaron loses health more lasers shoot down onto the platform & turrets spawn.On Aaron's last 2 life's Aaron himself will attack u will a huge giant laser that locks onto you the laser is slow so once u are always moving you can avoid it but while trying to do so while avoiding the turrets balls that lock on & the pumpkins lasers across the platform & also the lasers shooting down unless you're Neo from the matrix you'll have to pick up 1 or 2 of the health orbs .
Overall Castle Costume delivers when it comes to a kids 3Dplatformer collectahon game. A original game with a fun silly story and dialogue that will be sure to crack a smile for a lower price point of $9.99 it's far from the worst platformer i have ever played and has some great moments id give this game a 6/10… Expand
