    Very good oldschool carmageddon game with a suprising amount of challange. It plays a bit like twisted metal but you run over pedestrians in quite a high frequency..

    Recommended for the mentally ill

    The game design is about as old-school as you can get - Large open areas to drive around, ridiculous cars with spikes & blades all over them, 91 different power ups that range from simple turbos to an anvil launcher & a death ray that splits vehicles in half and lots of juicy pedestrians to splatter.    From a time before modern videogame conventions comes a re-imagining of Carmageddon.

    The game design is about as old-school as you can get - Large open areas to drive around, ridiculous cars with spikes & blades all over them, 91 different power ups that range from simple turbos to an anvil launcher & a death ray that splits vehicles in half and lots of juicy pedestrians to splatter.

    Basically this is made for people who loved the originals or who know what the deal is. It's an incredibly offensive and visceral game. Graphics and sound are good, control is tricky to master but responsive. Gameplay is what this is all about, dumb fun with no objectives or any guff to worry about.

    Although I loved the originals I wasn't expecting much because of mainstream reviews. I'm so glad I gave it a shot, the original creators really knew what they wanted to achieve here and I find that my play sessions are extremely long. It's the kind of compulsive gameplay that makes me feel 20 years younger, I highly recommend it to anyone with fond memories of the past games.

    This game rules, especially if you've played the previous three Carmageddon games. This is exactly what you expect from a Carma game.

    A lot of the newcomers will probably be confused, thinking that it's a racing game. Technically, it is a race, but nobody cares about that.. You win by wrecking all the other cars or killing every single pedestrian on the map (There are a lot so that    This game rules, especially if you've played the previous three Carmageddon games. This is exactly what you expect from a Carma game.

    A lot of the newcomers will probably be confused, thinking that it's a racing game. Technically, it is a race, but nobody cares about that.. You win by wrecking all the other cars or killing every single pedestrian on the map (There are a lot so that could be challenging.) Some other fun events are thrown in there as well but I love just driving around, leaving blood and death in my wake.

    I loved the original Carmageddons and this is still exactly the same fun even after all those years. Graphics looks old though. Handling is exactly same like in original version, so I am very much used to it. I don't agree with people saying that handling makes this unplayable. I only had one fps drop in 20 hours of playing when there were all opponents and herd of 50 cows on screen.

    Absolutely love it, handling takes skill and is lovely for people who like drifting. Splatting ped's is sooo satisfying and the damage is pretty much the best available in any car related game on ps4. The car detailing is amazing aswell.

    If you like destruction derby type games with simcadey physics based handling, outrageous damage and over the top gore this game is defenitely for you!
    Even if you put the gore aside, its simple the best derby style racing game available right now.

    The graphics are well acceptable, sometimes it surprises for looking really good. Sometimes it works a little less,.. as some parts of certain environments could have had a little more attention,. But like i said sometimes it suprises you in a good way. Framerate is well stable, loading times are well acceptable.

    All in all,. Personally i've been waiting a long time for a good car wrecking game, nothing more or less,. If this is what you are looking for, you will probably be pleasantly surprised.    … Expand

    This game is a bit better than Reincarnation. Played it for an hour at a mate that owns a ps4.
    I own Reincarnation on PC and it does seem better but not by much.
    Hope it won't bankrupt the company. I was hoping this time they will get it done much better to fix their poor image that Reicnarnation left on them and also the user rating is much higher this time around.

    Played this when I was a kid and it still has the old school feel wrt the handling, physics and sounds.
    Brings back many good memories, a must have for the Carmageddon series lovers. This can't be compared to other racing games on the same platform because they are in a different league, this is just to wreak havoc!!

    This game had a hell of a lot of potential, especially for an under utilised genre like 'arcade racers'.
    Whilst this game isn't a complete failure it has many crippling flaws, some of which made is unplayable for me.
    Cons: - The handling is dreadful. A game about crashing into things relentlessly punishes you for doing so as you spend the majority of your time reversing and spinning    This game had a hell of a lot of potential, especially for an under utilised genre like 'arcade racers'.

    Cons:
    - The handling is dreadful. A game about crashing into things relentlessly punishes you for doing so as you spend the majority of your time reversing and spinning out every time you turn a corner. Some might defend it as realistic, but even if that's the case it feels at odds with a chaotic, unrealistic game.
    - The AI is hilariously bad. Most races fall down to the AI themselves struggling with the handling and spinning in circles or pushing you like a forklift locking you in position until they stop.
    - The graphics are very sub par, with muddy textures and constant pop in. Not game breaking but still underwhelming for a 2016 game.

    Pros:
    - The carnage is really fun when it works. The power ups and unlockable cars keep things fresh and entertaining.
    - Multiplayer brings this game to life, and is much more fulfilling than playing solo.

    I'm sorry, but if you take off the nostalgia goggles like I did, this isn't a good game. As fans of the series we deserve better than this mediocre outing.    … Expand

    I loved the original at the time but I cannot like this game despite it being very faithful to the original. I have grown up and no longer find running over people hilarious enough to put up with the terrible driving physics. Keeping a straight line is often a chore in this game. Doesn't look and run that much better than the 1999 game on PS4. Avoid this overpriced turd.

    Tiene detalles a mejorar, pero la experiencia de juego se ha logrado como en el primer titulo de Carmageddon. Me ha gustado mucho revivir algunas de las sensaciones que vivi en aquella epoca. Me parece un buen trabajo.

    The problem with this game is taht my AMD 8350 Black overheats all the time because basically it is a potato
    I have a Sapphire 280X which over heats too, when I was in nam it was hot there too The reason the game is so bad is I can't drive very well, I use a Microsoft Sidewinder I have over 300 hours in this game and it's    If I could give this a minus 10 I would, but I can't so I wont

    Stainless Games en lugar de pulir los defectos del título original ha decidido dar a los jugadores "el título de su infancia", a coste de regalarnos un juego malo y pobre en todos sus aspectos.
    El concepto esta bien, y cuando 1 de cada 10 veces esto funciona resulta un título entretenido, pero con este control y escasa variedad me es muy difícil recomendar algo así. Si en futuros parches    Stainless Games en lugar de pulir los defectos del título original ha decidido dar a los jugadores "el título de su infancia", a coste de regalarnos un juego malo y pobre en todos sus aspectos.

    I had the luck of playing this game both on PlayStation 4 and PC. The PC is far superior to this version. This is just a bad, un-optimized port to be skipped.

    The strong point is maybe the worst thing... gameplay.
    Too similar for that we saw in the 2000 version.
    And yes, the loading is big.. 30 to 50s for each stage, the graphics could be better... but the fun is there.. even for a couple hours.

    No 2players local? Yap.. disapointing

    This addition to the Carmageddon Series is one I have been waiting for since I first played the Original Carmageddon at a friends house in 04, and Max Damage met all of my expectations and them-some. I bought the game the day it came out, and 1 and a half years later, I can say it was the best 30 dollars I have ever spent.

    Good old school Carma! It is NOT like nowaday game: Carma graphics is poor, physics is poor, nothing new etc etc. But is still is good old Carma.

    Played this when I was a kid and it still has the old school feel wrt the handling, physics and sounds. Brings back good memories and it is a must have for the Carmageddon series freaks . This can be compared to other racing games, but this is just to wreak havoc! It is a must have.

    Game has nice, crazy and sick atmosphere and big dose of dark humour. Nice cars, nice tracks, interesting power-ups and weapons. Game suffers from 2 main problems. First is bad driving model (car is hard to handle), second is the fact that opponents focusing on attacking mainly the player car (and less the other drivers cars) . Game has very nice (metal/industrial) music, but quite badGame has nice, crazy and sick atmosphere and big dose of dark humour. Nice cars, nice tracks, interesting power-ups and weapons.     What sounds like a great game is very poorly implemented. Bad handling, terrible level design and a lack of any fun. Irritating to play. It's a shame as I could have made it FUN and PLAYABLE. Disappointing

    Игра просто шедевр. Для фанатов первой части это просто боба)). Такая же первая часть только в новой графике. Первую трассу проходил раз 5 или 6, просто ездил и ностальгировал. Очень круто. Я сам уже очень давно не играл в игры так чтобы забыть про все, просто уже не так интересно как раньше. Установив Max Damage я просидел с самого утра до 3 гочи))). Игра очень крутая, разработчикамИгра просто шедевр. Для фанатов первой части это просто боба)). Такая же первая часть только в новой графике.
