    Cardpocalypse is an excellent card battler suitable for all ages. Think of it as a non-sweary South Park crossed with Hearthstone and you'd be part of the way there. Very much recommended.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A good card battler when you first get into it. You have a variant of cards with different effects some standard effects (e.g charge) attack the turn monster is played , defender block damage from going to your champion's health pool , Moprh which switches its attack and defense each turn , Swarm which gets +1 tll the end of turn for each minion played , hiding meaning it can't be attacked by the enemy chamption/ monsters. and finally lethal where if the minion just does 1 damage to another miinion it will kill it. There are four factions to play Dogs , Cats , Snakes, Mouse. Snakes are strong due to lethal being very powerful , this can be combined with stickers to combine lethal with defender for example. Stickers allow you to change the cost of minion , attack of minion and health of minion. The story mode allows you to skip fights if you wish to do so this is reccomended as game needs to be played four times for platinum trophy to get this platinum you need to visit the friends house twice that play through and everyone else once. The new recent expansion was also tried and it introudces a netural clan and mini story but no trophies so Just stick to base game if your a trophy hunter. The expansion adds new cards and strickers and can make the game longer if you do each extra challange before movining on. Its recommneded to build a red , green or purple deck however as Blue pipsqueak is underpowered and its recommeded you trade all blue cards for clans of other colours as you are given a full blue deck on day 4 thursday due to story misson. Its recommneded you always boost defender , boost charge , boost lethal in order to get the tiny dog to 4/4. eveything else should be nerfed. Always trade large cost food cards e.g something costing 10 mana is not very good. Certain cards have additional effects like +2/+2 each turn etc these cards are fantastic. The most powerful cards in game are barc angel a red card with 3/3 stats a must use with a hidden sticker to protect it from most problems to get +3/+3 to every minion every turn due to its effect.. Another great card is fenix its a defender which returns to hand every time it dies its the only minion i have seen that returns to hand and yet again its a red card , putting a lethal sticker on this and lowering food cost sticker makes it an utterly broken card for 2 mana each turn. Finally you can change the rules in this game when you defeat a power pets monster that appears at the school this changes the game often. On your first play through I would recommending doing all quests and taking notes which cards drop for your other play throughs to shorten your deck to just what you need. Best wishes folks. Expand

    While the cardgame itself seems to develop some nice mechanisms and potential, the story surroundings become annoying fast to me. Good old quest WORK, go here, go there, and here, and there, and there, and here. You will find tons of dialouge, dialogue and dialogue. It feels like pure "Let`s work em up" Quests. The idea of putting the card battles into a storyline is not so bad, the realization annoyed and bored me pretty fast. This is not a bad game, a lot of good potential is eaten by annoying questwork.
