    This is just about the campaign..

    What I hate most about the campaign is how often it takes control away from you and puts you in these really clunky and stupid situations like QTE's. Why can't this just be a cutscene if it must be here? I just want to fight in the war, this stuff is so annoying. The only times I felt immersed were when it was pure combat. Pop out of cover, shoot,    This is just about the campaign..

    What I hate most about the campaign is how often it takes control away from you and puts you in these really clunky and stupid situations like QTE's. Why can't this just be a cutscene if it must be here? I just want to fight in the war, this stuff is so annoying.

    The only times I felt immersed were when it was pure combat. Pop out of cover, shoot, reload, dodge explosion, change cover. That's a fun gameplay loop. They try to stray from that so often, like they're afraid of it. It's so frustrating to get glimpses of what this game could be only for them to be interrupted with "GRAB THAT PANZERSHREK". If you don't do what they want you to, the AI willl scream it out over and over and over.

    The audo is also super messed up. Only 1 setting that controls all the audio. It's mixed terribly and you'll rarely even be able to hear dialogue. The bass overpowers everything else, completely drowns it all out.

    Some of the missions are so poorly designed. They spend so long on the scenery then lazily dump re-spawning AI all over. Very little care was put into making this game fun to play.

    The game ends in an extremely underwhelming way that is very obviously not what was originally intended. It feels very unfinished and this being the game that it is from the developers and publisher that it is from... It will never be finished.
    As that is the way of modern game design for AAA companies.
    Overall.. whatever. This game won't be remembered for any special reason. Extremely lazy and forgettable.    … Expand

    This game is complete trash, probably the worst cod game ever created. All the hype scores were for week one when everyone was blinded by botg.. it is unforgivable the scores that people have given this game just because it doesn’t have jet packs. The maps are terrible, the divisions system is way too restrictive, the score streaks are boring.     Mediocre game which is nothing like the old and good entries of the saga.

    - Campaign is short, cliched and disapointing, with few interesting missions. - Multiplayer is boring and destroyed by the good old microtransactions, loot boxes, and in game store. To make it all better, now you can open your lootbox at the Omaha beach, which is kinda depressing. - Zombies is the most decent    Mediocre game which is nothing like the old and good entries of the saga.

    - Multiplayer is boring and destroyed by the good old microtransactions, loot boxes, and in game store. To make it all better, now you can open your lootbox at the Omaha beach, which is kinda depressing.

    It is approaching a year since this game was released and it is less functional than when it was released. The functionality of this game at a fundamental level is so broken that I have utterly given up on the franchise as a whole. It fails to connect to online services more than it succeeds. This franchise has taken up thousands of my life ever since I discovered World At War all those years ago but ladies and gentlemen I come to you today a broken man. Words cannot describe how much of an insult to our community this is. This is a game that IF you manage to connect will shove microtransactions and supply drops down your throat at every screen and opportunity its absurd. Once you clear away that trash and try to find a game there's a solid chance you'll be disconnected before it even starts. If it starts and you maintain a ping less than 100 then congrats you'll get to enjoy the most inconsistent gameplay I have ever experienced in an online game. The pacing in a humble game of TDM can change so fast. In one moment it'll be balls to the wall and then absolute silence for the rest of the game. The maps are simplistic, uninspired and boring to look at. In each DLC pack you pay for all you will get is a few new maps that are just as **** as the vanilla ones. Zombies has been turned into an overly complicated mess which is just completely against the ethos of zombies. The Colour palate is bland and washed out, the menu navigation is the slowest and most broken it has ever been in the history of the franchise and will straight up block you from accessing parts of the menu for no apparent reason. The campaign uninspiring, the script and its delivery make me want to do a Van Gough. At no point has this game felt worth the price it makes you pay. This game fails on all fronts. Microsoft had the good taste many years back to apologise for Windows Vista many years back and and that was good of them but, Activision, the only thing you can do to make up for this dumpster fire is to give a full refund to all who bought the game and desire one. This game, from a standpoint of gameplay and user friendliness , is more flawed than No Mans Sky. standpoint… Expand

    To be honest, it has it's fun moments, but that can be said for any Call of Duty game. I have never felt so board and upset to a Call of Duty game and this one made the list. The multiplayer is just awful, maps are a three lane system that keeps getting repeated, lackluster customization to classes, supply drops that give you nothing but trash, and hardly any fun game modes. Zombies I thought would be fun, but I was wrong. It's just so bad I only played one map and didn't even bother with the other maps because it felt boring and stale whiten a few matches and it's even more disappointing when this gamemode is not meant for solo players and made more for co-op. 2/10 a Call of Duty you shouldn't waste your money on because it's boring and you don't get your money's worth out of it.… Expand

Sure this is Call of Duty so of course the game is visually very impressive and the controlling and shooting feels great but this game is filled with little to no spark of creativity or emotion and a lot of greed. The multiplayer has some cool ideas like the HQ and the new division system but the maps, score-streaks, and mostly everything feels very meh. However the loot boxes and crates re using items is beyond scummy and just flat out dumb. The zombies is overly complicated with all these diffrnet perks and "load outs" and the map is confusing. This game does nothing new but the same old tired tropes in modern games.… Expand

    The updates are too much and too many. Changes are ridiculous. The action was fine and now they keep adding stuff that don't make sense and are making the game not interesting at all. They took the game Gridiron away as a challenge and combined it with others. Sucks big time! Games are changing as you play. Very poor entertainment.

    Ive put it a lot of hours on the Multiplayer in this game. Probably way too many. It has so much potential, but every time there's a thread of fun, they wrap it layers of frustration.

    And now youre going to give me Contracts to get X kills in X amount of time on Domination, but i cant ever CHOOSE Domination anymore, so i just have to pray that everyone happens to vote for Domination,    Ive put it a lot of hours on the Multiplayer in this game. Probably way too many. It has so much potential, but every time there's a thread of fun, they wrap it layers of frustration.

    WWII is tolerable, sometimes. Sledgehammer hits similar but somehow worse notes than Advanced Warfare. War mode was the highlight, maybe only because of my parallel infatuation with Overwatch at the time. Zombies did nothing for me, and I don't remember the campaign. Sledgehammer basically bring only bad things to the code of a Call of Duty gunfight. The gunplay feels empty andWWII is tolerable, sometimes.     This game had so many problems for 6 months of its life cycle. It lost its player base before it even became the full product. Horrible management from the developers.

    Just another piece of same but different cover. These games should be free instead of 60 bucks. It is not worth it and most of the mobile games have better graphics

    I checked this out because it was free on PS Plus.

    It is a wooden, unplayable disaster that defiles the memories of the people that inspired its story.

    COD mechanics are still good but there are two major problems in this game:
    1 - The campaign is not that fun. It would be nice to have the Eastern front, for example, like in COD World at War.
    2 - We play always in the same maps in multiplayer. If we want more maps, it costs a fortune (something like 50 bucks). It's not acceptable.

No spoilers ahead but don’t even bother with the Campaign, it’s a waist of time to be honest. The weapons are god awful!     Horrible maps, bad gun balancing, garbage story mode. I got the game for free from ps plus and even then it is worthless. Cod modern warfare is a better game. This game does nothing new except add a destiny style hub with horrible lootboxes with garbage, recycled loot

    A very short game about the Second World War. The plot consists in one thing: Either kill everyone, or blow up something. A lot of bugs and stupid NPCs. In short, the game has failed. 4/10.

    Stop listening to the corrupt, fake, paid-off reviews. This game is not worth buying. The story is boring and forgettable. The multiplayer is repetitive, boring and has some of the worst cut scene animations which look like they belong in a PS1 era game.

    lo compre por el trailer que se veia muy bien esperaba una historia epica y un buen online lo que tuve fue una campaña algo aburrida los personajes se te olvida que existen a los 2 minutos de juego los graficos son una mierda. el online es peor se trata de puras cajas y de comprar cosas para tu personaje basicamente es un juego decepcionante page two win y totalmente mediocre

    Narrativamente, en cambio... ¡Ay, amiga! Decir que narrativamente es flojo se queda corto por mucho. Tenía unas expectativas inmensas en este juego: como fan de la IIGM, esperaba poder explorar la guerra hasta sus extremos. Cuando de repente me han salido los créditos (que, mind you, duran más que el juego en sí), me he puesto lívida. ¿Dónde está la captura de Berlín? ¿Y el frente ruso? ¿Y el enfrentamiento con Japón? **** ¿qué clase de visión parcial guarripei de un conflicto tan inmenso me he comido? *himno americano sueña de fondo* *bostezos en la sala* *se oye a alguien vomitando en los baños fuera*

    Eso por no hablar de la historia de Daniels, que, por tradicional y redundante, me aburría cada vez que se hacía referencia a ella...     normal garbage, nothing new, get ready for random aimbot during the campaign and a lot of frustration. the enemies manage to hit you through the smoke grenade and depending on it is hitkill. CGI is good but during the game the graphics is all locked and grotesque, melee attacks don't work well and when you try to do some heroic act the enemies keep hitting you with aimbot.

    This game was alright. However, it does not come even close to topping the most classic Call of Duty games such as the Modern Warfare series and the Black Ops series. The game's biggest letdown is that it didn't bring anything new to the table aside from the setting. Sure it got better as time flew by but WWII is not bad or good enough to keep you grinding for hours.

I've been playing FPS games for 7 years now this is probably the worst Call of Duty I've ever played. Your teammates just shoot around randomly, they don't kill any enemies mostly.     I really wanted CoD’s return to World War II to be something more than a solid game – but it’s not. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I’ve already seen all this, that the developers (or perhaps the publisher) chose to create something as safe as possible. There’s just one campaign mission that surprised me with its scale, the rest is just a disappointing “best of Call of Duty”. The multiplayer is as good as usual, but it was infused with unnecessary systems resembling mobile titles, e.g spending in-game currency on pointless tasks of the “kill 100 enemies” variety. Missions that make you watch other players open their loot boxes are the pinnacle of absurdity. [13/2017, p.64]

    A solid return to its roots, Call of Duty WWII reminds us what made us all fall in love Call of Duty in the first place. It ticks all the boxes which is both a blessing and a curse. Good fun and worth your time but offers nothing exceptional.
