    The game that pretty much invented aggressive play flips itself on it's head and makes a game where you get punished for moving. Awful game. Far too 'tense', simply just takes all the fun out of it. You want to have a dark, war feeling game the campaign works. Why carry it over to the multiplayer? Or if you simply like sticking claymores on a stairwell and sitting in a room waiting for people to walk past the window you might enjoy it as well. TTK is good but TTD doesn't match, you always die faster than you kill anyone, that just adds to the annoyance of it. FPS games are struggling these days, i'm almost really to give up altogether. Feels like devs try to make annoying, highly competitive games instead of trying to make them fun these days. E-sports is real, save the sweat for there.

    Good to do research before you buy. Bad enough you're paying $60 for a 4 hour game and sub par multiplayer that gets shut down eventually and only works if servers do, but you cannot even play the game once YOU own it, without a massive mandatory update being installed first even if you only want to play the campaign. Some people can't afford to spend 60 dollars for something that doesn'tGood to do research before you buy. Some people can't afford to spend 60 dollars for something that doesn't work, you put out the money just to see you can't play. What if like me you live in a rural area without highspeed internet, then you'll get a nice 99+ hour update.... I give it a 1 because Activision/Infinity Ward made a good game that only some who pay for it can actually play. Very bad business practice. Of course people will still hand over wads of cash and that'll encourage developers like this to rush out unfinished games. It should not be allowed for developers and publishers to sell unplayable copies of games... Once you buy it it should immediately and always be ready to play, every other game except God of War who also did this, updates are optional if you are just playing single player offline...… Expand

    Activision has created a beautiful example of racism and incitement to ethnic hatred.
    A good attempt to dehumanize an entire nation (Russian this time) - something similar to what the Nazis did before the Holocaust, so that the Germans would drive Jews into gas chambers without remorse.

    Infinity Ward and Activision get ZERO points as of today. Cause my install of everything went bad, got corrupted because of the mandatory update and that forced me to delete absolutely everything. And now, the game ask me to reinstall +80gb just to be able to play the old boring singleplayer AGAIN!    I had to update this grade and review because of what happened to me yesterday!

    This must be one of thee worst releases up to date.

    1st, if you preorder you do not get to play the game early as advertised. You need a service that is down for the moment.

    2nd. No biggie, i'll play the offline campaign instead. NOPE, do not work, even if the game is 100gb on the hard drive or disc, you still need an online connection to be able to download a +55Gb patch, to play an offline (disc) install?

    Greed played this game, once again. Fooled the customers to shell out the money for an unfinished product and worthless support!

Thank God, any semi-interested person could easily do a minor research and find out all the idiotic lies about Russians.     This game creators are true criminals. Go and check real Russian soldiers, how people of Crimea love them, how people of Crimea met them with flowers, smiles, children, photos and cute cats. Russian soldiers are liberators, not terrorists. I will not give my money EVER to Call of Duty creators.     It has a ridiculous story, uninspired campaign, dumb AI, extremely boring missions with lack of scale and without any "wow moments" series is known for. Graphically it looks terrible even on PC with maxed out settings — the final product is nothing like it's trailers. Location's design is also unmemorable. Developers are trying to hide the game's ugliness in the dark (80% of the game is taking place at night or in dark buildings), but it isn't working. Also, there isn't any music playing on most levels. What the hell Activision?

    And, yeah, Infinity Ward also lied about "grey morale": all Russian soldiers are evil in the sake of being evil. They are killing civilians, women and children without any reasons or logic behind their actions. If you are trying to make an interesting enemy — at least give them SOME motivation or ideology. Even Nazis in the COD: WW2 wasn't such monsters as Russians in new COD: MW. The Americans and British soldiers, in contrast, are heroes that even in the "torture" episode aren't actually torturing anyone. You can't even shot the terrorist's wife in the leg to make him talk — the game won't allow you to. Because Americans never tortured any terrorists in Guantanamo or Iraqi prisons, of course. Or 'cause USA and UK are the most important markets for COD games. It isn't the game about the dark side of war as they promised. It isn't a fun shooting gallery as previous COD games. It's the stupidest, tasteless propaganda I've seen in my entire life. Activision is trying to be provoking, but they don't have balls to do it properly. For example, we all understand that this fictional Urzikstan country is meant to represent Syria, but devs are afraid to say it out loud.

    If you don't give a ..ck about the singleplayer campaign — I have bad news for you, 'cause multiplayer sucks too. It's trying to be the COD, Battlefield and Counter-Strike at the same time... and it fails to be anything. It's too laggy, unpolished and unplayable.

    Modern Warfare (2019) is the worst part of Call of Duty. Actually, it's the worst shooter I've played in years. And it's one more disappointment in a neverending chain of disappointments from modern Activision-Blizzard.     Short campaign with a linear, railroaded and uninspiring gameplay.
    Multiplayer's pace is insane, extremely unrealistic, plays more like a Quke or Unreal...
    Save your money and watch it on YouTube...
    Graphics is good though.

    Spawn killing, same guns but not equally match against opponents (for example the shotgun), many areas where you can't see your opponent's head or body but they have a clear view of destroying you and moving your character feels very uncomfortable

    Playlist options are terrible, you will always be put in 9v9 games which are only played on maps that are either way too big, or way too small for that amount of players. You cannot disable 9v9 games. 9/10 times you will be placed in matches that are already in progress and put on the losing team, those matches are nearly always unwinnable so it just decays your win rate.     Game requires to be logged in to Activision account even if you want to play Single Player, it wont let you even into the main menu unless you log in.
    This is unacceptable.

    Okay, I played this game!!, good graphics,great gameplay,realistic movements,.....but 60 dollar is really expensive for this game! Wait for Christmas price will be around 30 - 40 dollar! There is a mandatory patch that I had to download just so I can play the singleplayer. When I buy games with singleplayer, I expect to play it without internet.     The campaign is horrible and it is less than 5 hours long. The story is that same dark and "deep" oscar bait trash we've seen plenty of times in games already. The missions lack variety. The multiplayer is terrible and the developers made the movement extremely unrealistic. It feels like I am playing a low budget Call of Duty clone. The maps are poorly designed and they are too big for a COD game.

    As I said before, this game requires internet. So once the developers decide to switch off the servers, I won't be able to play the campaign or mutliplayer with bots, unless I have the game and patches installed in the console. There is no way I am keeping a garbage game in my console for long, therefore it will end up in the trash can when the servers shut down. I recommend you only get the digital version if is $15 or lower, or just wait until it is free on PS Plus. The physical copy is worthless.    … Expand

So you'd think, just go play campaign while you wait for the swarm to die down, right? Not an option buck-o. Heads up if you have epilepsy, there's a bug in the game that upon taking damage the indicator and blood splatter on your screen has a good chance of rapidly flashing at you like a rave party on steroids. Also, the VoIP is messed up for me, my game audio comes through my headphones, however it makes the VC come through my monitor. I checked all my settings both in game and in windows and could not get it to work right, so I was forced to just turn it off altogether. Aside from that the game is pretty good so far, honestly my friend and I are just a bit jaded at what a sloppy first impression all of that was. Given some time and a lot of patches, I bet this can all be sorted out. Hopefully fixes are a priority and not rushing to push the micro transactions in our face. I want to like this game, but I am disappointing with it in its current state. For now, this score is what it deserves and hopefully in the near future it can turn itself around. If you're on and off the fence about the purchase, maybe wait a while and hopefully get all these bugs ironed out first because I highly doubt you want to spend the first 3-4 hours trying to get past the crashes and bugs before you can even play like we did.… Expand

Also the players found a workaround to use keyboard and mouse on ps4 without having set mouse icon in lobby which cause a f@#king unfair gameplay, even is crossplay disabled. And i just find these cancer guys in 3 or 4 matches. Another thing about crossplay is you cant play ground war with this option disabled. And the last one is coop, oh baby... its boring... soo boring. Also players cant even revive you when youre going down. Just f#$king running everywhere but not to other players to revive them.

    You can just ignore this ****ty ass review but I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME FOR THAT PRICE. If youre thinking about buying just read reviews from players not from dumbass professional reviewers.    … Expand

    The best call of duty to date. The guns have the best animations with smoke and casings flying out and now they have 2-64 players dosen't get better than this. Hopefully this is the new call of duty. I'll buy the next if it sticks to this formula.

I would agree that it made U.S and its allies some sort of "holy" ethical people. Which as an American and a veteran, we have not been the best either. So I understand the frustration of the RussianGame is pretty solid overall.     Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
