    Fun game, it tries to be new and a lot of players hate it so check the gameplay before buying.

    If people can drop a 0 or 1 because "anti russian propaganda", even though that's been a staple of the MW franchise for as long as I can remember, I can put a 10 because it's a decent game that I'm having fun with.

    Yes, the SP's story is simplistic and the classic "Russian and the middle eastern terrorists want to kill innocents, so the US and UK swoop in to save the day". I wouldn't    If people can drop a 0 or 1 because "anti russian propaganda", even though that's been a staple of the MW franchise for as long as I can remember, I can put a 10 because it's a decent game that I'm having fun with.

    Yes, the SP's story is simplistic and the classic "Russian and the middle eastern terrorists want to kill innocents, so the US and UK swoop in to save the day". I wouldn't call it propaganda, at least not an effective one for me. It's just uncreative writing: pick antagonists everyone knows already so you don't have to explain why they're evil.

    The MP part of the game is clearly its focus. And... it's CoD. Good ol' arcade CoD, not without its share of infuriating issues, definitely far from perfect even for a game of which sole purpose is to allow you to shoot virtual folks in the face (spawns, weapon balance, you name it, CoD has a problem with it) but it's overall very playable and, if you like the classic CoD gameplay, you most likely won't be neither disappointed nor surprised.
    You know, unless you're like all the reviewers here and can no longer stand the "evil russia" trope to the point of screaming in anger instead of just saying "eh, whatever" and enjoying a game for what it is.    … Expand

    Terrible game. The plot is not really as fascinating as i expected. The worstest graphic. Don't recommend to play. I have to search another shooter

Excellent customization of weapons that can be customized to your style of play. In my opinion, the game does not have an imbalance of weapons. Intuitive maps with good level design. Looks like developers just got additional money from USA goverement to lie like that and it's a shame. Even "highway of death" wase made by USA (but the game sayd it's all Russians).     Singleplayer is nice after a long time, but to be honest nobody buy COD for campaign, so I will not score per it at all. After announced there will be no Blackout (only good part of previous game) we expected at least good multiplayer. What a fail. First, you need to wait 15 minutes "connecting to server" and then after all that time you get into worst COD multiplayer for long time. ShortSingleplayer is nice after a long time, but to be honest nobody buy COD for campaign, so I will not score per it at all. After announced there will be no Blackout (only good part of previous game) we expected at least good multiplayer. What a fail. First, you need to wait 15 minutes "connecting to server" and then after all that time you get into worst COD multiplayer for long time. Short time to kill produced game where 95% of players camp at same place. If you camp you get good score, if you are not no chance to survive. From same reason nobody play for objective. Further, to play Ground war you MUST enable cross play which is ultimately stupid!… Expand

    It is the worst Call of Duty ever in my opinion... To be honest, it shouldnt even be considered a Call of Duty game. The maps are horrible and the gameplay is sluggish with the advantage going to the player who sits still in a corner and camps. The aggressive play that made COD so great is now pentalized. If i did not love the series, i would of rated this game lower. On the plus side theIt is the worst Call of Duty ever in my opinion... To be honest, it shouldnt even be considered a Call of Duty game. The maps are horrible and the gameplay is sluggish with the advantage going to the player who sits still in a corner and camps. The aggressive play that made COD so great is now pentalized. If i did not love the series, i would of rated this game lower. On the plus side the graphics and sound are good, but that should be expected out of a triple AAA company who has had 10+ years to polish a series.     Поздравляю с отличными продажами в России. И как долго вы думали над сюжетом игры? Сложно было превратить русских в нацистов? Заслуженно самая ёбнутая и убогая игра 2019 года.     1) Imagine a guy with which you have some tensions and he calls you a d***head. It is kind of unpleasant , but ok, you call him somehow similar. And then he calls you a rapist, because now he would like to "depict realistic" terms. Kind of serious offence right?

    2) Authors have carefully collected all the noticeable war crimes of their country and pointed them at someone else: Military general as a politic figure, water torturing, 20-year modern day occupation of the middle-east country, the road of death and execution by hanging are as Russian as apple pie and the bald eagle.
    3) A choice of an enemy and degree of its villainy was dictated by the market, not moral, which was shown with a recent scandals incl. Activision and Blizzard. So, when authors say that it is a purely fictional and they do not refer to specific country/official military, that sounds not so convincing.
    4) All the other aspects of the game make it a very good one: graphics, shooting, stage direction are pretty well. If a low-tier, low-influential product insults you, that is ok, but when you see that a work of a good professionals is pointed against your national pride, that makes you sad and then angry.    … Expand

    All I wanted to say, that there aren't good and bad guys irl, there are just a different sides of the conflict
    I wish we'll have more games like Spec Ops: The Line

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
