    Multiplayer is great i think. There are some problems with network code, cheaters and balance but nothing critical.
    Singleplayer storyline is absolute garbage. The level of braindead propoganda is idiotic even by today`s standarts.

    The campaign is pretty good, and in many ways feels like actual modern combat. No hit-markers, realistic recoil and ballistics, etc. The movement seems very sluggish and weighted at all times; sometimes it feels realistic, other times it feels like you're being unnecessarily constrained.     But as usual, the COD franchise is stuck in the past with its "on rails" storytelling and gameplay, some of which can be at times fairly good. There are a few missions that really shine, and make you feel like you're really in a modern combat situation. However, the Hometown mission is one of the worst pieces of gaming I've ever played. If I had the choice between having to play that mission again, and never playing another game, it would be the end of my gaming career. It's indescribably awful, from the ridiculously unreal movement, to the set-piece style action, it's a failure on nearly every level. Points for the story, which did give me pause to consider the plight of those concerned. There are much better ways to get that point across though, and being taken out of the body of a modern day soldier and thrown into the perspective of a seven year old girl is not only incredibly frustrating, but also insulting. I don't need forced perspective to bottle-feed me morality, thanks. More importantly, I absolutely despise the "you can do it any way you want, as long as it's in this exact way" kind of gaming. Why not give players tools, and let them figure out how best to solve a specific problem? It makes for much more dynamic gameplay, which in turn almost necessarily means more fun. Dying endlessly until you figure out the ONE WAY the developers want you to complete an objective (while being given nearly no clues as to how it must specifically be done) makes for a terrible game. There are flashes of brilliance, but overall the campaign feels like you're a dog, and you're futilely straining your neck as someone tries to rub your nose in ****.    … Expand

    After skipping BO4 and considering giving the game I have played since the very first COD the flick I came back to give the series one last chance. Dont want to give anything away on the campaign other than I really enjoyed the 50% play through Ive reached so far but so so far so good. Campaign gets 8/10.

    Best Call Of Duty ever. Specially graphic and physics are incredible. Story is very good. On-line the same as before which is a good point. Also the sound effect and engine is very good.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Cod this year is cod every year but modern. Somehow to the gaming community that means cod is good again. No......no not really. I've seen this game being praised for being original. What culture called this game "risky" despite the general community of call of duty going on and on about wanting another modern call of duty title for years now. The campaign feels like the developers asked themselves what's the most controversial thing we can think of that distracts people from our mediocre writing and actual **** story. The answer? Killing children! And other innocent people. The year is 2019. That sort of **** is practically tame in terms of how those subjects are portrayed in film and other media.

    Then we get to the multiplayer. Every time I put one of these cod game on it comes up with 78 developers, representing the teams that worked on the game. Hard to tell when the multiplayer maps are designed so **** poorly. The average bedroom, at least from personal experience will have one window. Apparently I'm a silly stupid butch because in cod, the average bedroom will have 7 windows, so good luck trying to figure out which window you should actually look through for 2 seconds before you get killed by a camper you cant see because once again, with the 7 window bedrooms and 500 window buildings , you never have a single clue where to go and who to shoot. Also the camping is a major issue. Good luck trying to be good on this game without camping. The spawning system is trash and the majority of the maps feel designed around sitting and doing nothing for an entire match. Also the first greande type in this game is a claymore so the majority of matches boil down to dont even scratch your balls because chances are some idiot with one finger has placed a claymore down at some random place and with all the skill in the world sat and did nothing and got a free kill because using claymores requires so much skill. I haven't played spec ops because **** activision. I have a playstation but if xbox users cant play it because of Sony's and activisions greed then I'm not gonna check it out. It's supposed to be garbage anyway and nothing like spec ops from ww2 making the mode even more pointless. Overall I dont get why people are acting like this one cod which doesnt push any boundaries and do anything original, somehow makes up for the last 7 years or so of false promises, mediocre finished products and a general lack of caring.     Very short campaign (5 hours), no collectibles or anything just straight up one playthrough.

    The game is extremely anti-russian and extremely pro-america. It's really off-putting, I'll be sending it back for a refund.

    I enjoyed certain missions and a more stealthy approach to gameplay, especially "clean house" stage. Story is complete rubbish. It is a hypocrisy on the largest scale to make such a deranged narrative. I've never witnessed someone tell a complete fantasy like that with such conviction. Activision should be held accountable for such a delusional fairytale of a SP campaign.

    Skill based matchmaking in general multiplayer lobbies. This is a big F U to all players who have invested in this game for 12 years. Have a ranked mode for sbmm.
    Elephant footsteps, a gazillion doors that wreck any flow, vertical insanity, head-glitches everywhere, claymores also. This game could have been up there with MW2 if they had good map design and logical perks ( Dead silence!).    Skill based matchmaking in general multiplayer lobbies.     I'm giving this game a 4/10 and that's me being extremely generous. Blame Truth on Youtube has basically covered it all about this game. This is the worst call of duty game of all time for the hardcore COD fans. The game has been targeted and made for new players by the adding of extremely badly designed maps (but good for new players). And on top of this activision does not release MW2 remastered multiplayer because they want to reach 30 million units sold for this game, yet the greedy **** add maps from the OG MW trilogy into MW 2019 to increase their sales like what the **** The reason i'm giving the game a 4 instead of a 0 is because of 5 things :
    1) The amazing campaign, which is the 5th best in my opinion (after the original Modern warfare trilogy and the COD Black Ops (2010) )
    2) The graphics are amazing. We've been lied to that it's a new engine though. It's the same old engine, heavily modified. Credit to Blame truth on youtube for covering this in a video.
    3) Gun sounds are pretty good.
    4) The animation director did a great job. Hats off to Mark Grigsby on another great job on what he does best.

    Not bad graphics and gameplay itself, but DICE does it better (which is not surprising). The plot is one of the dumbest in the series. It's full of cliches about EVILSUKARUSSIANS and good brave American guys, just like stupid 80s agenda movies. No "gray morality". If you want an objective view of war, play Metal Gear Solid 4. Nothing else to say.

    Too many campers. I would be complaining about it normally, but it’s get worse as the life of the game goes on. Every match somebody’s sitting. Some of the maps need to have certain areas closed off because it becomes a camper fest. Other than that complaint about multiplayer, I will say the campaign is fun.

    I was excited for this release but the gameplay is 100% punishing people who don't camp. But I can get the drop on someone. Nail three bullets into their face and I get turned on and Instantly and one shot. I have lost almost every 1:1 that I go against and I'm not sure why. Map design just kind of is window shooting with a low visibility

    Every time I'm not playing this game, I'm thinking how much I want to play CoD, but then I boot up the game and remember that this isn't CoD. It's some garbage version of Battlefield because the only playable game mode is Ground war and that still sucks. The game designers were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. What does that mean? it means that shotguns are sniper rifles, every building has 10 windows and only one staircase, and if you're not in a building (or on top of one), you're instantly dead. It also means that claymores have such a huge range that the best strategy is to put them in a corner, preferably right in front of you as you hold your shotgun out and wait for someone too run by. People say you should just adapt, but that's not fun. Why would I want to play that way?… Expand

The maps are horrible and the gameplay is sluggish with the advantage going to the player who sits still in a corner and camps. The aggressive play that made COD so great is now pentalized. If i did not love the series, i would of rated this game lower. On the plus side theIt is the worst Call of Duty ever in my opinion...     Spawn killing, same guns but not equally match against opponents (for example the shotgun), many areas where you can't see your opponent's head or body but they have a clear view of destroying you and moving your character feels very uncomfortable

    With me multiplayer is better than other old one so I score this game's multiplayer is 9/10 everything are different, and the co-op is good too but the bad point is u guy is gonna put microtransaction in, RIGHT
    With the campaign 0/10, unlogic thing is too much and HOW U GUY PUT RUSSIAN INTO A BAD COUNTRY AND A TERRORIST HUH, a seven years old kid cannot hold a gun but u put the reload animations to it ok. And the white helmet are good guys??WTF?    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. В сюжетной части этой игре нету "серой морали" которую так восхваляли разработчики, тут кроме пропаганды вообще ничего нету. Тут русских ассоциируют с безжалостными нацистами, которым плевать на человеческие жизни. Генерал Барков в нем показан не как человек который делает добро с помощью зла, а обычного диктатора который делает все жестокие вещи оправдываясь что Урзыкстан - это страна террористов, хотя если подумать, то террористы в Урзыкстане появились потому что как раз таки Барков оккупировал Урзыкстан и начал убивать мирных граждан. Это еще один раз доказывает что разработчикам было плевать на "серую мораль" в игре и они хотели просто понапихать в нем много жестокости что бы хоть как-то оправдать свой дырявый сюжет. Но все же есть и хорошие русские в этой игре.....и это как ни странно был Николай и Егор (который никак не влияет на сюжет), и да, это тот самый Николай который был в оригинальной Modern Warfare только тут он либо был в отставке, либо он был под прикрытием ФСБ либо САС, и он так же осуждает действия Баркова и хочет что бы его не стало, но это лишь один человек а не все правительство осуждает Баркова. Еще в этой игре не понятны мотивы правительства Российской Федерации и не понятно кто конкретно хотел оккупировать Урзыкстан: правительство или генерал Барков. И из-за таких сюжетных дыр не возможно понять чем объяснены действия Баркова: приказами правительства или своими личными причинами. Но как уверяют разработчики американские и британские военные тоже не являются исключительно хорошими людьми и иногда делают жестокие вещи, но и всего в игре лишь 20-30% сюжетной игры являлась той самой плохой стороной американских и британских военных- это зачистка жиловых домов от террористов, разминирование бомбы на заложниках и пытки терристов используя из семьи как шантаж, но это никак не говорит о том что это и есть "серая мораль", это лишь их часть работы, с которой им приходится мирится. В этой игре лишь единственный запоминающийся персонаж - это Фара и Харид. Их действия оправданы потому что российские солдаты атаковали их страну и они дерутся за ее освобождение, даже порой нестандартными
    и жестокими способами. Но это никак не перекрывает все минусы сюжетной части игры и этого просто недостаточно. Честно я ожидал от игры серую мораль уровня Spec Ops The Line, где действительно покажут настоящую войну в которой все стороны конфликта действуют очень жестокими способами, но в этих действиях можно было найти смысл и можно было понять всю сложность ситуации. Но в этой игре я увидел лишь ничем не оправданную жестокость со стороны России и на 70% хороших американских и британских солдатов. После этого я хочу спросить у разработчиков: "Do you feel like a hero yet?"    … Expand

    Серая мораль такая серая, что по клавиатуре промахиваюсь.
    Вот вам пример:
    Персона 1 пытает водой и громкой музыкой заключенного, полученные сведения помогают предотвратить теракт. Персона 2 травит деревню новичком, предполагая,пытаясь предотвратить теракт, но их там нет. Серая мораль, но чьи поступки мы можем понять, а где неоправданная жестокость? Вот тебе и серая мораль, кушай.    Серая мораль такая серая, что по клавиатуре промахиваюсь.
    Вот вам пример:
    Персона 1 пытает водой и громкой музыкой заключенного, полученные сведения помогают предотвратить теракт.

    Running this game on a PC, I can't recommend it and regret my purchase. The campaign mode is incredibly unstable, and I am unable to finish it as each mission crashes at least 2-3 times. There is no error code and it dumps straight to the desktop.     I give this game 4 out of 10, because in this game there are only two interesting missions, and the rest of the story is not interesting, boring and it's a **** propaganda that all Russian villains and they have no feelings except to be angry with the brave Americans. Graphics and videos are good.

    I HATE this game, multiplayer is unplayable, camper, camper, camper and camper, if you camp you get some kills, time to kill to low, only two map rotation, in ground war only the same map and the game always lag

Да и после выхода меня переполняли эмоции, после каждого пвп матча (хотя игра не реально грузит процессор, что иногда приводило к проблемам). В игре идеально было все (лично для меня). Но потом для открытия персонажей я пошел в кампанию, по стандарту поставил ветерана и начал ее проходить. И тут понеслось... Сценаристы решили показать русскую армию (не ЧВК, как в Сирии, что могло бы избавить от большинства претензий к русофобии. Где Баркова могли бы сделать взбунтовавшимся генералом). Но сценаристны нарочно (или по глупости, что мало вероятно, так как присвоили русской армии бесчинства, которые творили американские солдаты в Ираке) выставили русских какими-то животными. Таким образом предвзятость сценаристов и пропагандический подтекст сюжета не дают мне право оценить игру в 10 из 10.
    Но я бы за геймплей поставил максимальный бал, а за сюжет не больше 2/10.    … Expand

    Things they REALLY need to change:
    - Netcode (For real! Sometimes u hit enemys 3 meters away with 5 hitmarkers and get a 25 assist)
    - more maps! The map design of the ones right now is hated by many ppl
    - Gun reworks
    - Making dead silence a perk since this game is a campfest which is no fun at all (Most of the time the timer runs out before u get to the score limit)
    -Fixing a lot of graphic and other issues

    What is good about this game:
    - The weapons look good at are powerfull
    - the sound engine is very good
    - no kid skins (atleast for now) for weapons and other stuff. U need to work for the camo u want (oldschool)
    . daily missions
    - good killstreaks and good killstreak system
    -graphics (might be for some ppl a thing, i play on lowest anyway)
    - The loadout options

    Not great as good old CoD series. Only Captain Price is here, other original characters are missing. Story isnt that great, its just same hollywood like cliche "One man saves the day" story. The multiplayer, graphics and gun details improved a lot, however, CoD is still behind of Battlefield series in terms of multiplayer and realism. I'd choose BF4 over this any day.

    The multiplayer is a mess. I don't know if the maps are good or bad because I die at spawn constantly. I'm not sure how the playtesters at Infinity Ward played these maps, but it sure isn't the way they're playing now. The ground war maps are a sniper's paradise.

    The spec ops is a shell of its former self. It's boring and in no way could keep your attention long enough to get through the four boring operations. Not only that! The spec ops doesn't even tie in with the campaign. It's just filler. At least the spec ops missions in mw3 happened alongside the story. I would not know how the survival mode it because I am on pc and cannot afford a $300 Playstation 4.    … Expand

Also the community of this game is still VERY bad and there are lots of cheaters as well.

    This could be a good or even a great game if Activision would actually give a sh!t. I was at a 6/10 but I am subtracting two points because the Coop isn´t working and because of the fact that this game is still feeling like an unfinished Beta after two years worth of updates.     I'm going to start out by saying the game looked great, even on a console with some very clean, and crisp photo-realism that I haven't really awed me since the days of CoD4. The campaign really shines for this by delivering some very believable and intense moments that actually hooked me in. My only gripe is the intense slowdown during cutscenes that did break my immersion just ever so slightly. Yet busting down doors, clearing rooms, and vital decision making is really what makes it come to life in my opinion. The campaign is one of the best in the series as long as you don't pay too much attention to the plot because it's poorly written and has one of the worst endings.

    So why does this review get such a low score if the campaign is great though?; well, for me, the multiplayer was nigh unplayable at times. Crashing, connection issues, and a barrage of technical and balance issues plague it. The campaign would sometimes crash me back to the home screen, but my real beef is not being able to connect to their services 9/10 times. I was maybe only able to play but a few sessions before the game decided it just didn't want to work anymore. The few matches I did experience went like this.

    - Spawn in
    - Try to run towards objective
    - Get murdered by a furious hail of fire
    - Spawn again
    - Try to run through the maps poorly-designed corridors
    - Either trip on one of the hundreds of placed claymores or take a shotgun to the face because the entire lobby corner camps and watches windows

    Its not very fun because of the terrible balance decisions that went into this game and it doesn't help that the maps offered to us were so poorly designed. Every map is basically just three different paths with a variety of buildings in between the and around the perimeter of the map. Running out in the open and attempting to run and gun isn't a viable option. Many matches ended with each team just camping the same objectives without much rotation.

    Sorry guys, but Call of Duty isn't making a return with this game. It's just the same rushed cashgrab put out by exhausted developers and greedy publishers that refuse to acknowledge and fix issues or even playtest their own game apparently.    … Expand

    The whole PvP is based on camping on hidden cornerns. Maps give too much space to campers and there is no fun in waiting for 5 min behind a door for someone to pop up. The graphics is awesome but the level design is awful. Playing this game made me regret infinite warfare, and that says it all.

    An actual honest review on Modern Warfare in 2020. (4/4/20):

    QUICK DISCLAIMER: This a fair review of the game and I will not just beat the dead horse with the Russian controversy. Also I will not be reviewing the BR because of how new it actually is and that I cannot gauge an opinion on it. Campaign firstly: Ignoring all the gray zone controversies the campaign is a much needed    An actual honest review on Modern Warfare in 2020. (4/4/20):

    QUICK DISCLAIMER: This a fair review of the game and I will not just beat the dead horse with the Russian controversy. Also I will not be reviewing the BR because of how new it actually is and that I cannot gauge an opinion on it.

    Campaign firstly: Ignoring all the gray zone controversies the campaign is a much needed step-up from the likes of WW2 or Black Ops 3 but yet still fails to deliver in some aspects.

    Pros:
    - Hyper Realistic as promised except for the minor nitpick details (such as the occasional gun glitch or even the aiming at your teammates which was sadly pointed out) but overall a down to earth in your face experience for war
    - The characters are VERY memorable such as the likes of Alex or Farah
    - The effects, scripts, and placeholder elements are up to standard of the like of the best games on the market

    Cons:
    - The horrible plot holes and connections to real events are terrifyingly bad. It's like IW wanted to be bold and pull a Modern Warfare 2 with the turncoat Americans but for some reason went the same route of "Russians" as being the enemy effectively dividing the player base in half about the campaign.
    - It was such a narrow campaign and gave the player a lack choice that would impact the game. This isn't new to cod as Black ops 2 had done this in a way to make it one of the most impact campaigns for players and myself alike. This was also a soft reboot so this could have been done theoretically. Because this wasn't done it doesn't give the players moral choices that will impact the story in some way.

    Overall the Campaign is a solid 7/10

    Next the Spec Ops

    Pros:
    - It brings back survival and does it to a standard of which is on par with the previous iteration MW3.

    Cons:
    - The missions are an absolute trash heap of recycled content garbage from campaign missions and show little to no difference to the actual campaign
    - The content on launch was such a disgrace that I thought it was highway robbery to sell this game for $60. This will later become a common theme throughout.
    - AI is bugged in some missions??? Not sure if this is just based off of my game but the AI would sometimes completely bug out and forget how to do the smallest tasks such as open doors or even would sometimes walk into walls.

    Spec Ops for me gets a disastrous 2/10

    And now the multiplayer.... Jesus Christ the multiplayer

    Pros:
    - The Guns have a ton customization and you can try and make new variants for hours on end
    - Classes now have a non-pick 10 system which everyone is probably very happy with
    - The Sounds of the guns are absolutely outstanding!
    - The looks of the environment of maps are great following closely to real life due to scan imaging.
    - The UI for the Multiplayer and selecting gamemodes are a treat

    Cons:
    - The Maps are awful or at least the base maps created by IW. Even some remakes like Crash and Vacant seem very butchered by horrible map decisions such as doors in unnecessary places and the obvious placement of safe spaces for players
    - Spawns seem to be pretty terrible and I'd argue worse than in Black ops 4. It seems random and most of the time you seem to spawn in front or behind an enemy or the other case is being put so far away from the action (this is especially prevalent on 10 vs 10 maps) that you don't really even want to play the game anymore.
    - The class system favors camping instead of a balanced system. I find myself constantly calling this "crossing the street simulator" because of how unrewarding it is to the run and gun play style
    - The gunfights themselves seem stupidly clunky and it seems like there's always this one overpowered gun someone uses. It's so bad to the point to where it doesn't even matter who the first person is to shoot it's anyone's game now and it would usually be the person with the more overpowered weapon. I know it was like this in MW2 but the difference was that the weapons used in that game were all overpowered and usable.
    - Bugs that were rather displeasing to say the least such as invisible props or even broken player models

    My final rating for the multiplayer is a 4/10

    At first the game was good, until hackers came and took the whole game and just started cheating so wackkkk, they need to add some sort of checking for hackers cuz the game sucks now, constant lagging, it’s no fun. Back to battlefield I guess. If you want to hack just go to ps3 and play cod waw or modern wafare three.

    To who would i recommend this game? To players that like playing aggressive : Stay away from it and wait for the next CoD with better maps.

    The campaign is amazing. (Aside from plot holes) Same goes for co-op. But the multiplayer is so unbelievably terrible. The map designs are awful. It is also very difficult for new players to have a chance in this game because you are always put against people who are a higher level than you.

    This 4 is not for single-player or Warzone, IMHO nowadays singleplayer is not needed at all. This 4 is for multiplayer.

    1. Really good animation; 2. Pretty cool graphics and not so bad optimization; 3. Good sound and soundtrack; 4. Excellent weapons customization; 5. IW add new guns and maps in game for free; 6.     2. Players don't have ability to choose map in 2020. This ability is standart for any shooter for almost 20 years, but Infinity Ward still don't know about it. IW, play any other shooter, even F2P. I suppose this fact proves, that many maps in game is poor, and IW understand - if they gives players ability to choose map, at least half of maps will be absolutely empty.
    3. Poor balance in match. Quite often I play versus or with much more skilled players, than anybody in match. It leads to giant gap between commands, some player can have k/d about 3 or higher (when any other have 1.5 max), that is absolutely unachivable in fair match.
    4. Ruined weapon balance. Some of guns are much weaker, than others and some are much stronger, than others. It leads to situation when some of guns never uses at all. MP5 or MP7 are much stronger, than UZI; M4A1 are much stronger, than SCAR, .357 Snake Shot - is absolutely leader in pistols and so on.
    5. One of the worst spawn system I've ever seen. Best example here is Shipment map. At least 3-4 times in match you will die 1 second after you spawn, because you've spawned in front of SHOOTING enemy. Few times I spawned already dead under enemy vehicle and 3 times I spawned in MY molotov cocktail, that I've throwed before death. How is this even possible? IW haven't played a single match on this map? No play-tests at all?
    6. After almost any patch IW fix 3 bugs and makes 10 new.
    7. Nowadays game requires 187 Gb available space - it's more than 2 GTA V or 2 BF V. Why people still don't have ability to delete singleplayer?    … Expand

This game promotes camping and caters towards new players. The weapons while feeling good are incredibly unbalanced. Killstreaks are unbalanced and everything about this game screams broken. Not making dead silence a perk is another dumb decision. Bringing back old maps doesn't help either because they have made this into a camp heavy cod so your favorite old maps end up leaving a bad taste in your mouth.    … Expand

    Помимо очень условного сюжета у игры есть гораздо более серьёзные проблемы, делающие её далеко не лучшей в серии. Во-первых, она, несмотря на красоту графики, не зрелищна: в оригинальной трилогии Modern Warfare мы от первого лица наблюдали собственную казнь от руки диктатора, присутствовали в эпицентре ядерного взрыва, испытывали разгерметизацию на борту космической станции... Здесь же запомнилась разве что миссия за детей в осажденном ближневосточном городе и спасение заложника посредством координирования с помощью телефона и камер наблюдения. О том, что приближается развязка, я узнал только по тихо звучащей на фоне музыке - другими средствами никакого особенного пафоса под конец не нагнеталось.

But this time the programme is filled with pop ups and advertisements trying to convince you to spend more money. In fact it is without doubt the worst game I've ever played for that. It constantly hints at you to spend more. The warzone mode is a nice idea.     Campaign: Cool and interesting story, interesting missions and memorable characters

    Coop: Boring missions, dumb enemies that defeat you because of the number of soldiers and not by strategy. Worst cooperative mode ever made in call of duty history

    Multiplayer: Cool weapons, fluid movement, incredible animations, but maps are just as bad as CoD Ghosts. Advantages for campers

    It’s pretty fun, it’s Doots after all... But, lag, cheaters, and stupid exploits (e.g., jump shots) just make it annoying... It’s gotten worse as of late. Half the people you play jump around a corner and headshot you. That’s not enjoyable, it’s just exhausting

Probably to make things worse are that some of these "sweaty" players are beyond toxic and then the plague cheating (this also applies to the battle royale warzone).
    Note: While it's a welcome to see a modern shooter back after the franchise went all over the place with the settings along with high visual fidelity and new details from the environment, animations, etc., the current state of the game is a mixed to bad experience (and honestly so far the experienced mostly lean towards the latter).    … Expand

    technically, game not Optimized! Very High Usage while playing.
    For play This game you need RTX Series, if play on GTX, you have very bad Quality and if set on good Graphic, high usage of hardware. STOP ACTIVISION! STOP!

My main gripe is there's no cover, no way to set up strategy, just angles on you from every direction, almost as if someone went through every map and made sure you could not hold down a position.     There was no reason to screw with the way minimaps work, but they did....not sure why. Footsteps are also much louder than they need to be and there's a lot of annoying and pointless chatter from your character.

    Outside of that there are a few good things. The Gunsmith is cool, there's a ton of ways to customize your weapons. In fact the amount of customization you can do is really the best part about this game. I like the killstreaks too, nice variety, and the graphics overall are decent.    … Expand

No wonder Russian fans of the series feel betrayed by this propagandistic portrayal and are reviewbombing this title. In the original Modern Warfare series for example, the Russians that were fought were "ultranationalist" terrorists, and they were fought alongside other Russian "loyalist" forces.
    - Campaign is rather short

    As the negative points, at least for me, far outweigh the positive ones, I would suggest not buying this game and waiting for a sale down the line. Everyone who is looking forward to Modern Warfare 2 or 3 style Spec Ops missions should definitely, as they are simply not available yet.    … Expand

    Warzone is the only reason this game is living, they managed to make one mode correctly.

    No spilt screen spec ops.? What is even the point of "local co-op". Multiplayer was bland until it was over taken by another Battle Royale then worse. Campaign was good.

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
