    I enjoyed certain missions and a more stealthy approach to gameplay, especially "clean house" stage. Story is complete rubbish. It is a hypocrisy on the largest scale to make such a deranged narrative. I've never witnessed someone tell a complete fantasy like that with such conviction. Activision should be held accountable for such a delusional fairytale of a SP campaign.

    I've only played the campaign and it's got the most unoriginal boring plot ever with i think the worst most forgettable soundtrack and the missions alternate from meh to awful. also the voice acting kinda sucks

    I'm playing on PS4 and the game throws a blue screen error that didn't happen before, since the addition of warzone the technical problems were rising, but with the last update, the campaign practically came unplayable, I've reinstalled the game, even i test with another HDD and the same history.

    Installing the campaign is an absolute nightmare. I just want to play the god damn campaign, but I have to install all kinds of manure before I can do this. Complete disaster of a model. Activision shame on you!

    Where shall we start? I will say the game play was okay, had some good moments but was a very sudden end. The on line play is getting progressively worse, it seems there is little care about the level 15 players with maxed guns and gunning you down from 150 meters, or dual welding pistols with 100% accuracy, Maybe the sword and shield players running through bullets to stab you, orWhere shall we start?     Not even played the game yet but now on my third day of trying to play it.

    4 hour install on Monday after work, left the ps5 on rest mode to install. Tuesday after work just getting settled to play it and it’s saying the campaign is not installed? What on earth took 4 hours to install then? And why wasn’t it the campaign! So then there was about 7 boxes all saying install next to them,    Not even played the game yet but now on my third day of trying to play it.

So then there was about 7 boxes all saying install next to them, top of them being campaign, clearly says on the right - “this campaign pack needs to be installed to play campaign” so I installed that Tuesday night, 2.5 hour wait. Thought I would try again on Wednesday after work.

    Tonight I tried to play again, but it says “installation suspended” under the campaign menu, so I’m tearing my hair out and I google it and google is telling me I need to download other packs for the campaign to work. About 4 boxes down there is one that says “campaign and special ops optimisation pack” or something along those lines, so I have started that download, 2 hours.

    Let’s hope that works ay, what an absolute joke, just want to play the game.    … Expand

    This game is garbage. Looks nice but sadly that's where it ends. Gunplay is ok for Call of Duty and campaign is too short and loses it's pace at times. But the simple fact that I couldn't play through the campaign without a constant internet connection is a enough for me to hate it, but you can't practice with bots without one either. Which I like to do when I don't have online. OverallThis game is garbage. Looks nice but sadly that's where it ends. Gunplay is ok for Call of Duty and campaign is too short and loses it's pace at times. But the simple fact that I couldn't play through the campaign without a constant internet connection is a enough for me to hate it, but you can't practice with bots without one either.     I thought playing this game would be great before MW2 comes out. But guess what happened? I couldn't even play the game. Because It says installation suspended even though I downloaded all the packages and apparently they didn't even bother the fix this for months even though it is a known issue. So basically I bought myself a Call of Duty launch screen for all that money.

    Cheap anti Russia propaganda. Hated the characters, hated the story even though i like the original MW series so much. And also, one of the worst multiplayers I've ever seen. Only given it a 3 because of Gaz and Price, legends. Even they can not make this game good.

    Great grathic, scenario and other...BUT one of worst online of the seria.
    Cuz:
    Respawn system broken. You can be killed at one afrer respawn.
    Lobby also full of cheaters.Activision stoped respone on the claims.
    Don't buy game or dont play online if you want to save your nerves.

Devs seem to think the only first world countries are the U.K and U.S no Japanese, German, Canadian, or French. Amazing guns and attention to detail in multiplayer with lots of guns and modes to chose from.     - It forces you to download 150 Gig after you install the game just to play the campaign. - The game menu is stupid. The default is multiplayer and you really search beforehand about "how can I find single-player mode"? after you find it then it navigates you to a new menu that is very hard to find the "resume story" option    The game is so terrible that you can almost call it a scam.

    Probably the worst game ever made. Just playing the campaign requires you to download like 200 gigs of random data packs that don't work half the time, and when you FINALLY get it working the campaign crashes every cutscene and bricks your system. How this game was even released is beyond me.

    Literally played two games. I didn't even buy it but I wanted to uninstall. The amount of campers was insane. In both games there were at least 2-4 other players camping. It's not that big of a problem, until you realize that because of the absolute **** map design that it actually works. Incredibly unoriginal game too.     Modern Warfare at its core is a great game, but the parasite in the form of WARZONE makes it unplayable. When warzone gets major update, all MW files gets deleted which is insane. Two times I've had my settings deleted. I don't want to play Warzone, I want to play the game that I payed for which is Modern Warfare. On the most recent patch and for many before it, I often die around corners, or as I hear the first bullet hit because of how **** the network code is Playing against consoles running at 60fps make the experience dog dooky for PC players because of this: if you try to peek a corner and go back, your hitbox will stay around that corner for twice as long in the eyes of a console player because their console updates half as fast, and because the game honors the shooters - not the shootee's - hitbox, you'll die faster than you can react, because favor is given to slower consoles. Just in general, this is a stellar graphical and gunplay experience ruined by a lot of poor multiplayer implementation decisions. Get this game off the shelves and into the garbage heap where it belongs.… Expand

    The graphics are good most of the time. There are plenty of different modes and mode playlists to play everything you want. The map design is good. The weapons are feeling very good and there are lots of attachments. Sadly everyone is playing the same meta loadout most of the time. And there is a general lack of polishing everywhere. Also the community of this game is still VERY bad and there are lots of cheaters as well.

    Summary:
    This could be a good or even a great game if Activision would actually give a sh!t. I was at a 6/10 but I am subtracting two points because the Coop isn´t working and because of the fact that this game is still feeling like an unfinished Beta after two years worth of updates.     2. You cannot play just with the DVD, you have to download 200-300GB of patches and packs. First of all it takes time to download, at least 30-40 hours. Secondly it takes all the space of your 500GB PS4, stupid as f**k! Last but not least, they have obviously done it this way so that you can be the testing guinea pig. So you pay 100 pounds (50 game, 50 PlayPlus) and then you test the game for them after days of downloading. If I stumble upon the Blizzard headquarters I gladly would set it on fire.    … Expand

    Absolute garbage. There's a bug where when you're escaping the ship from flooding in on you you randomly keep falling to the side and "failing" the mission. Close and deleted. Modern Warfare 2 was amazing so I was sad to see this installment was literally unplayable.

Literally every match except but 2 made me auto infected, because I couldn't load in the game fast enough. I am legitimately considering ending my life with my .22.     Garbage maps and poor spawns ruin a potentially great multiplayer. The campaign was fun. Maps and perks encourage camping to an extent many maps are impossible to navigate. I got back into COD with Black Ops 4 and this game was a great disappointment. The lone good original map is shoot house with a few decent remakes mixed in.

    Note: While it's a welcome to see a modern shooter back after the franchise went all over the place with the settings along with high visual fidelity and new details from the environment, animations, etc., the current state of the game is a mixed to bad experience (and honestly so far the experienced mostly lean towards the latter).    … Expand

The actual review starts in the multiplayer, where you will be actually spending your time and the COOP but I'll get to that later. The Multiplayer is the most bland and boring gameplay I have ever seen in my life. The fast time to kill matched with players who are so incompetent to leave a corner ruins any other entertaining or exciting play style to be used in the Multiplayer. Even casual players who want to get up and go to an objective have to deal with controller aim botting, fast ttk, and meta weapons probably even a shotgun to the face once they round a corner. If you were looking for any excitment to be had in this game mode you're looking in the wrong place if you're not willing to watch a corner and let the controller do the aiming for you. Another big part of the mulitplayer that kills it for most players including me is the SBMM. The Skill Based Match Making will be the death of the franchise because if you do good in 1 game at all you will be matched with sweaty try hards or even more people who will camp corners and not leave until their mothers come in their room to make them do chores. SBMM also connects you to higher ping servers like 70 80 sometimes 120 ping. Another note about SBMM in the game mode of warzone is it'll put you against players that have bought the game pass to try to get you to buy it because the development team intentionally makes the guns OP in the first seasons they're out and if you try to use any other gun against it you're sure to lose. Now on to the COOP. As someone who is a huge fan of the MW3 COOP and loved the survival mode I have been let down so hard it's as if my hopes were thrown off the cliff of marianas trench. The COOP is absolutely garbage. Even with improvements the game mode just isn't fun. Once again you're forced to camp in a corner in some building because of the poor design decisions made within the AI and the different types of enemies within this game mode. Let me start with survival in contrast to MW3's survival. In MW 2019 you have little chance to play this game solo. What i mean by that is I could make it to wave 30 on MW3 survival no problem but for some reason in this cod you can't make it past wave 3 or 4. The guns the AI use such as the shotgun or the AK or even the RPG will destroy you if they catch you off guard and that is mostly due to how little health you have in this game mode. You could survive being shot 100 times in MW3 survival because the game mode was supposed to be fun and they understood that some people wanted to play it solo and you can't win against a horde of enemies without having the health to compensate for it. In this cod you have probably 1 5 round burst fired at you with any automatic and you're dead. That's it. Go back to the menu and try again. Another huge difference between the 2 survival modes I'm comparing is the suicide bombers. Just wow. They sprint twords you with a bomb in their hand and even if they explode from 10 feet away you're very likely to be dealt half your entire health. That would be ok if there were maybe 2 or 4 during one wave right? Well, you would be delighted to know that there are about 20. If they get within 5 feet of you and explode you're pretty much dead. I don't know how this makes sense with the play style of camping in buildings and not having enough health to go outside and fight them because you die so quickly in this game. It's so dissapointing. In comparision, the suicide bombers from MW3 will take 1 shot and they will have about a 4 second delay before exploding, this gives the players time to run away and not be instantly killed or use the suicide bombers to their advantage. That design choice alone shows that the developers of MW3 care more about the fun of the players than making the game realistic or whatever narrative they push for MW 2019 I can't even tell you what it is other than "realistic" maybe. But onto the last thing, the "classic COOP" is actually impossible. Remember how I said you have very little health? Yeah, you have to push against about 50-100 bots, good luck. I just wanted to quickly mention that. I've played this game on and off trying to find some ounce of enjoyment of fun in any of it but I fail to do so. I wish honestly think the developers could have really delivered on this game, it had all the potential for it. But unfortunately they let greed get the better of them. With that and their stubborn ways, the future of this franchise is looking short, especially with it's newest one, Cold War. My advice to you is to just not buy this game. Save your 60 dollars and spend it on anything else. You will thank me later.… Expand

But in new CODs when you win game with good score, you will get 3 or more matches with very good players in other team and your KD will be below 1.

    Visuals: this is perhaps one of the best looking call of duties of all time. everything looks good and you have a great amount of control over the settings. I have managed to make this game look amazing with minimal performance penalty on anything from a 1080 to a 3070. Here the game gets a full 10/10 for graphics;(10/10);

    Audios: the game has excellent sound design. this is not as good as what frostbite engine has to offer. gun sounds all sound dampened and lack base, how ever voice acting, sound effects and the weapons sounds all sound really good. this is for sure an above average sound design and I will give it a (9/10);

    interfaces. it is bad, they have put in minimal effort, party system is bad, placement of buttons are bad, there are very few cautionary interfaces in places that matter and and far too many in places that are not as important. if you are in loadout menus and your squad leader do anything you are pulled out. the main screen of your character walking endlessly is a roll of a dice! in each patch new bugs get introduced. anything from half of your screen glowing to your character not loading at all. this is so bad that I am going to assume they went out of their way to screw this up and I am going t ogive them a 0/10, inexcusable! (0/10);

    Single player story: the game is ok, I actually had a lot of fun playing it until it got to the blatant racism, torture, and abuse of children. in older call of duty games they used to be more subtle, this is just poor writing, there are a million ways to portray someone as bad, this was just unimaginative. that being said I had fun playing the single player. I am giving it a (8/10);

    Coop: I was going to give this section a 10/10 but I am instead giving it a 0/10 here is why; coop was good. it had a healthy community, no toxicity, fantastic implementation of crossplay and an amazing story line to back it up. it was fun to play and easy to ear experience points in. However, they are trying to burry it, the servers have become non-responsive and do not put you in matches anymore, menus are broken and riddled with bugs and they keep getting worse in each patch. if Activision does not care about this portion of their game, I am not going to give them any points. this is the only part of this game that worth the price tag and they don't want to maintain it. (0/10);

    Multiplayer: On PC it is bad, does not worth your time, bad net code laggy buggy and broken with terrible match making. incredibly toxic community filled with racism, sexism and filth. children screaming things that are absolutely inexcusable. filled with cheaters and you have no way of reporting verbal abuse, bullying racism and sexism. on PC it is a pile of garbage unless y7ou are playing a custom match with a group of people you know, but at that point you and your friends can literally play anything else. (0/10);

    Community: Single player does not have a community, coop has an excellent respectful community but as we established if Activision does not care I am not giving them points for it and the multiplayer is garbage. I am going to give it a -5 points. I feel half of my maximum amount of happiness, less happy when I engage with this community; (-5/10);

    Price: there are better indie games that cost less and do not have microtransactions. this is a $15 game that is being marketed as a $70 title. I am giving this a (2/10);

    Microtransactions: they are not cosmetic, those skins yield in-game advantages, some skins are harder to see in game, some weapon tracers and effects (like the pixel one) block your view and give the shooter an advantage. some kill animation (floaty skulls etc) actually block your vision. dark outfits like rose's dry suit in a shadow make her practically invisible. This game is effectively pay to win. (0/10);

    Support: The support sometimes shows some surprising acts of competence that is truly out of character for Activision developers. but 70% of the time they are useless incompetent people providing **** support. Sometimes the game refuses to load and you have to redownload a 200 GB game ... hope your internet does not have a data cap! (3/10);

    so averaging all the scores it is a 2.7 out of 10. I round it up just incase I am being to harsh.    … Expand

    The updates for this game are enraging there is no other word for it, the numerous amount of times I have finished work opened up battle net wanting a quick game after a hard day only to be met with a update which will take so long to download you wont be playing till the next day at the very least is unforgivable in terms of updates.

    I have had numerous occasions after installing 190GB game where I have had to download 100+gb updates, the last one was 3 days ago for a 5 GB update which took most of my evening to download to yesterdays 32 GB update which is still downloading.

    The worst part is none of these updates are for multiplayer they are for warzone which I don't play or for black ops crap which I don't own.

    Also the battle pass is now completely defunk for MW because no rewards are for MW they are all for warzone which is FREE and black ops which I don't own ... so I paid £50 for a game I no longer gett any content updates for but free warzone which I don't even play gets updates?

    This is the first COD game I bought since early 2000's and will be the last this kind of crap is completely unforgivable and enraging when all I want to do is relax and shoot people in the face.    … Expand

При выстреле девочка не роняет револьвер, в реальности дети не смогли бы взять в руки револьвер, и при выстреле бы револьвер вылетел из рук от сильной отдачи. И кто пишет что так и надо делать злых русских, у вас с головой всё в порядке? Activision покажите что 2 русских боулинга врезаются в здания Близнецы.… Expand

    Everything is upside down. Call of Duty has a better solo campaign than multiplayer after many years. We will remember a perfectly scripted war with a dense atmosphere, but we’ll forget about the unbalanced online multiplayer. [Issue#298]

    After a multiplayer-centric episode, the COD fans will be delight with the return of a nervous and strong solo campaign. Modern Warfare is back with old-fashioned gameplay that is more grounded and efficient. The generous amount of content adds some depth to one of the best chapters of the saga to date. Magic!

    Overall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a good title that is marred by the expectations that the Modern Warfare name brings with it. The campaign has some really stellar gameplay moments that are brought down by the mediocre plot. Multiplayer was fun but felt a bit like the competition’s output (despite there being no Battlefield release this year) which may be a turn off for some. I don’t think Modern Warfare 2019 has done anything to make me rethink waiting for substantial price drops to play Call of Duty campaigns, because clearly multiplayer is still Activision’s main focus and that’s just not where I get my kicks.
