    By this forensic appraisal, Modern Warfare 2’s campaign is generally, verifiably OK, in the sense of being neutral. If this were a set of Bluetooth headphones or an 18-button mouse, and I were advising you how to invest in a new and broadly competent electronic device, Modern Warfare 2 would be a “buy” recommendation. I could hereby confirm the product you receive from Activision is worth the exchange of your $70 — or $23, if you approximately slice Modern Warfare into thirds, and take the campaign solely as its own product.

    Warning - DO NOT BUY. This game is a huge middle finger to the player base. It's incredibly buggy and broken, crashes, freezing in lobbiesWarning - DO NOT BUY. This game is a huge middle finger to the player base. It's incredibly buggy and broken, crashes, freezing in lobbies constantly between matches, a tonne of bugs. A tonne of features are missing (barracks, HC mode and other modes, no emblems, cards, charms etc). How IW can charge £60 for such a mess of a game is disgusting. And what is in the game they've in many ways destroyed from the nightmarish UI that looks like a kid made it, to bizarre and nonsensical progression or unlocks. The slow clunky movement and gameplay, plus the ruined perk system. They really screwed this game up big time, I see many getting a refund.… Full Review »

    The bugs were an issue, but overall this game is a pretty solid sequel to the original.

    This isn't exactly a very good game by any means I would say. Very unfortunate.
