Not a big fan of more recent cod or battfields but I saw this at my local the exchange store and bought it after I looked up the gameplay and WOW do I like the campaign. I would like to see more on this version of CoD instead of balck ops, modern or cold War. It nice to see a new take on it instead of what they ha e been doing. One wish for the next version tho power slide

Multiplayer is incredibly fun when it's not lagging. seems like the lag has gotten really bad since Ghost. hearing they got rid of the dedicated servers that AW and BO3 had is disappointing. there's nothing special about the weapons. all the maps are small enough where there's no reason to use an AR. this is very much an SMG game.

as for MW:R- yes, it's identical to the old game ... camping like crazy, OP unbalanced weapons, grenade spam, the noob tube unlocked at LVL 1, easiest quickscoping in the series, no customization, and dusty green-brown maps that are all undiscernable from each other. if you REALLY want to go back to that ... it's all there ... they stayed so true to the original that all the map and weapon glitches are still there ... the graphics are slighty better and they added Kill Confirmed.

I've never understood why COD4 gets the praise it does. I think it's just because it's the "thing" to do in the COD community. the next 5 games in the franchise are all thousands of times better. an old broken game that goes back 2 entire generations of consoles in it's limitedness. most of the people praising it in the reviews of this game are too young to have played it when it was new.

in 2006, Modern Warfare was an amazing, beautiful game that had unique gameplay and made fps'ers the most popular genre in gaming. that was 10 years ago :) ... the nostalgia of a "boots on the ground" game is fun for awhile, but it's beyond me why someone wouldn't want to play a newer game with so much more to do that's on the same disc.

Lastly- those saying multiplayer is "pay to win" are complete liars and probably BF fanboys haters. you can get enough points for a supply drop in like 3 games. there's fewer weapon variants than AW, and all of them can be earned for free if you grind the game enough. Also the disc contains both games, you don't need to enter a code in at the store to get MW:R. so if you do decide to sell your game in the future, MW:R will be totally available and functional.

I'm assuming most of the dissatisfaction of this game came from 1.) how Modern Warfare Remaster is packaged, 2.) the multiplayer, and 3.) the jaded CoD players that has played every CoD as it came out...

My review is pretty much of the campaign and zombie mode and I have the following pros and cons:
    Campaign:
+Characters are for the most part pretty good. Ethan especially.
    +Space combat is quite fun.
    +Hacking bots is fun.
=Story is a bit bland. Although it had some great moments.
=Aerial combat is fun but can get repetitive.
-Levels are a bit too choreographed, but that is how Call of Duty games are. This can be good I guess because it flows like a continuous playable movie.
    Zombie
++Local co-op, there's just not that many split screen co-op anymore in this genre. I applaud them for including this mode.

Reading so many negative reviews almost makes me feel bad for having fun while playing this game. I'm 22 years old, have played just about all of the highest rated video games out there, and yet I'm still finding enjoyment in this game. It's NOT bad.

Has anyone giving this a 0,1, or 2 ever played a bad game? They are definitely out there, thousands and thousands of software worse than this, and yet they score higher. Why is this? I have to believe that many of the people leaving low scores on this site never gave the game a chance, and want to draw people towards the games they pre-ordered and purchased instead, justifying their choice of one of the three big FPS titles (four including Destiny).

A lot of people also choose to relate this game to the other CoD titles; comparing to the other CoD titles is ok when listing similarities and differences, but is that really a justification for such a low score? Not everyone has played ALL of the previous titles, so it seems more realistic to judge this as a standalone title, especially since it is not a sequel to any of the previous games in any sense of the word. If you come in expecting a different formula, referring to the simplified multiplayer, zombies, and action-movie hand-holding linear campaign, then you will be disappointed, and your negative experience is almost entirely your fault. This is why:

You don't by a cheeseburger and expect them to deliver you a salad. You don't order a Call of Duty title and expect Fallout. or Overwatch. or the classic Battlefields. or whatever.

The above is mostly rant, although that line about the cheeseburger is spot on ;)

    Now for the real critique:

IW by itself offers a ton of content for your $60 price tag, but unless you have no idea how sales or offers at places like Amazon, Gamestop, Ebay, or Steam work, you should not be paying that full $60. A more realistic price for this game is $40 by itself. For example, by using several Gamestop promotions, I obtained the Legacy Pro edition for around $30 (retail price at $120).
It has an adrenaline-fueled campaign with space combat, dog-fights, and lots and lots of big bad military enemies to shoot. It offers an interesting but familiar take on the classic zombies mode with an overwhelming amount of easter-eggs, and a multiplayer with fun game modes such as Defender (my favorite), Frontline, and the classic Domination, TDM, FFA, etc. The maps are colorful and lane'd in a way that provides controlled flanking, the spawns aren't incredibly useless, and the guns are mostly balanced (you don't see everyone using 1 particular gun).

My biggest issue with the multiplayer is the gun variants that offer perks and stat-boosts, although they give several ways to obtain these, and they aren't game-breaking improvements.

The campaign offers a hub-world hybrid on a big ship where you can walk around the ship and choose your next mission (there are even side-missions, which is always interesting). There's some moments of emotion, hyper-unrealistic points of climax, witty military banter, everything you'd expect in a space-war campaign. You'll enjoy it if you don't take it too seriously. I did find myself laughing at many of the "serious" parts, and that makes me like it even more.

TL:DR: The campaign is cheesy, the multiplayer and zombies are essentially recycled with updated visuals, pace changes, guns, and game modes; but that doesn't make it a bad game. 8/10 for me, I'll go have fun now. no regrets.

Truthfully, TF2 is just a better game all around, both in campaign and MP. BF1 is a better games as well, but comparisons here really aren't fair due to completely different settings and overall style of game.

Still, though, I'm enjoying IW for what it is.....a clean, fast paced, polished shooter that's easy to pop in and out of my console b/w longer gaming sessions.

The lag seems to have improved with the many patch updates, that's not to say its gone but I feel I'm having far more decent games now and fair gun fights. The dev team are supporting the game relatively well and are on top of improvements and patches. They removed two maps to fix them which took longer than expected with Grounded still not making an apperance at the time of writing, but Genesis is back with the bugs fixed, which shows me they actually care about the game.

So how is it playing now compared to release? Much better. I'm finding the games to be very fun, skilled, fast paced and enjoyable. It is very addictive and one of the better futuristic cods. Much better than Blops 2, Blops 3, AW and Ghosts. I'd say its on par with MW3.

The new movement (once used to it) works very well. All weapons can do a good amount of damage and you can play well with them. Some of the maps are excellent such as Frost, Precinct, Genesis, Mayday and Frontier and play well on nearly all game modes. The larger maps however only tend to work with objective based gameplay and can slow the pace of the game right down.

There are some really decent weapons that feel good to use. Most weapons in the game are more than usable including sniper rifles. Shotguns need a bit of a boost and you still get hitmarkers and short range meaning they don't tend to play a role in the game.

Scorestreaks are too high. Getting the larger ones seems an impossible task considering spawns flip too easily meaning you get shot in the back a lot. If you run care package then you do get to ise the higher ones now and then but most games the highest scorestreak you see is the warden and then any below it. The warden is a bit of a pain and really I think the game would be better off without it. Lots of people run hardline rendering perk 2 slot useless as you really need it to achieve scorestreaks. The nuke is impossible, never seen one and the youtubers who've got them seem to be playing against the braindead (or their friends who just so happen to not be able to kill them). A pointless streak unless you are a booster.

Micro-transactions come in the form of supply drops. You can unlock them with keys instead of paying. You also get salvage which takes a long time to build up. Supply drops are way overpriced, and considering you have no idea if you are going to get that legendary you really want are not worth the money.

Despite its hang ups, IW is shaping up to be a really fun addictive game. The graphics are nice and colorful and bold. Multiplayer is the best we've seen since MW3 and I actually enjoy playing this COD. By no means better than MW2 (the best cod imo) but way better than the modern CODs.

It comes packaged with COD4 remaster, but it's aged badly and is no fun anymore, I've totally ignored it.

So if you want a fun MP experience with sharp addictive gameplay give it a go.

Call me old fashion, but I will always be a boots to the ground fan. I was very sceptical in the direction COD is going. I must admit I only bought Infinite Warfare so I could play MW. Boy was I happy when I saw the trailer for this game at E3 at 1st I thought it was the new star wars game, but it looked way to good for that. When I found out it was Call of Duty I went nuts. I had just come off Black Ops 3 and loved that game.

This is a different developer and they have a different style, with that being said and understood, "infinity ward" did a very good job on this one. I really like the campaign its an emotional story and with out spoiling it, I enjoyed my 2nd and 3rd play through more knowing the stories outcome already, as weird as that sounds. The graphics were great, gunplay awesome, guns were very good and sounded "loud". This is most defiantly a space shooter and it kicks ass.

Zombies is really fun this year, they used the same engine as black ops3 it looks like, but now its an 80's theme and its really fun. It's not as serious as last time around and more focused on fun. Think gta san andres time frame, but with zombies. They have the season pass comes with 4 more zombie chapters, which if there as good as this one, I'll be excited...

Multiplayer, is really fun I think the maps are smaller making it more frantic. There are plenty of modes and if you don't like people online they have bots with three difficulty levels, to play against. They have tons of maps and again with the season pass there are 4 times as many more.

For an extra $20 you can get the legacy edition which comes with "infinity wards" most famous title modern ware in a remastered edition which is cool if you want that too. I got the regular edition as I'm more into modern COD.But now I must admit I regret that decision. Also I saw the digital deluxe version for $100 which included the legacy edition plus the season pass(oh well missed out on that).

This game was really fun, very high quality as far as visuals, gameplay and sound design goes. The three modes all play well and are very interesting and entertaining. The stand out its the campaign this year but the two other modes do well to compliment each other for a complete package.

First of all: It's a damn shame people are somehow logically (not sure how) able to compare CoD with Battlefield. CoD is a fast-paced, arcade first-person shooter (you know, like Doom or GoldenEye back in the day) whereas Battlefield is a slower-paced, war simulation first-person shooter. Both games are good at their OWN thing. If you can realize that, which is logical and can be proven on many bases, then we can move on and judge Call of Duty Infinite Warfare for what it is.

The good: it has a great single player campaign, which CoD has been lacking for some time now.
The other good: I happen to like Black Ops 3, and this multiplayer took more from Blops 3 than it did from Advanced Warfare (thank god!). Now, it also took some failures from Ghosts, unfortunately. The maps are a lot of fun and the weapons feel less futuristic than Blops 3 or AW weapons do, which is nice.

The other, other good: Yes, I got the Legacy edition. Yes, it was part of Activision's "scheme." So, yes, I've been enjoying both IW and MW:RE But (for those who like to compare), I hope you don't cry out when EA screws you with their pay-to-win, because that is definitely coming in a couple of months after they're done with holiday sales.

The bad: It is too much like Blops 3 in too many ways. But the good to that? They improved some issues Blops 3 had. The other bad to that? If Blops wasn't Treyarch, then IW should have been an expansion - more or less - to Blops 3. Oh well.

The really, really, really bad: the fanbase. Since the release of Ghosts, due to the high number of new players brought to the franchise by Blops 2, I have seen the CoD fanbase get more and more toxic. Some of them have good points, but are easily drowned out by those who have no clue what they're talking about when they say, "Why can't we cut the futuristic bullsh*t," because... well, quite simply, their first CoD was Blops 2, and that was futuristic. So... yeah.

Naturally, when you have a game as easy to pick up and enjoy as CoD, you will get a lot of low-hanging fruit kind of players; people who only play CoD and one or two other games; people who don't know anything about what it means to actually look at the good points and bad points of a game. Unfortunately, everyone has a soapbox these days, and people tend to jump on bandwagons and get off them just as quickly.

Back to the game: If you enjoy a good story mode (not because "Jon Snow" is in it) and a fun, repetitive (when was it ever not), fast-paced, ARCADE fps game, then you will enjoy CoD (especially if you get Legacy edition) and, perhaps, will start getting bored of it sometime near June or so.... ready for whatever the next announcement is at E3. But if you do, genuinely, without peer-pressure from stupid kids, enjoy the action and fluidity of CoD, you will no doubt keep coming back to it every weekend with that feeling of "man, I wanna play some fast-paced shooter in a small map."

This is something Battlefield 1 cannot offer. That's why so many on here, including myself, are saying the logical: Don't listen to BF fanboys. They're on the bandwagon. Soon, they'll say another game is better than BF. It may even be the next CoD game, for all they care, because they have no opinion of their own.

The core gameplay, level design, and AI is also great making it one of the most fun Call of Duty campaigns I've played in a long time. From the fluid movement system as a soldier to flying a jackal in space, this campaign has it all. The multiplayer is decent. Its basically Black Ops 3 multiplayer, which I wasn't a big fan of because of the boost jumping and wall running. Also its pay to win because of supply drops which I don't appreciate. The new zombies mode is pretty cool, but doesn't compare to Treyarch zombies. I played it for a bit and had fun but can't see myself continuing to play it like Treyarch zombies. All around, its a good Call of Duty game. The multiplayer and zombies are decent, but its really in the campaign where it shines. The campaign is easily one of my favourites. I really feel bad for Infinity Ward, they crafted a really beautiful campaign that most people probably won't ever end up playing. If anyone is looking for a great single player experience specifically, I would definitely recommend picking Infinite Warfare up. Peace to the fallen. Expand

    - No microtrasanctions or pay to win. Having wasted $60 to buy this game, I'm now left a bit disappointed as I think I would rather wait for price drops or invested in other games. Let me put it this way.

Call of duty infinite warfare, is one of the best CODs released since black ops 2. From what i've played on the SP so far best single player since MW2. MP is a hell load of fun, but seems like a little re copy of blops 3 (just re skinned). Zombies is eh, good map but never had been a zombies fan.

MW1 is OK, needs to be more balanced in guns and needs better servers

Playing the new Call of Duty game Infinite Warfare was so fun. I really like all of the new stuff that they have added into the game. The graphics in the game are freaking amazing and they are going to get even better I hope. Even though there are a lot of things that I do like there are quite some other things that I don’t like about the game. I will tell you about them in this review.

I think that the graphics for the game are a lot better than the previous games. The community is very fun and people tend to get along most of the time. I do like the fact that they are adding more guns and new melee weapons. It just adds more into the game and a lot more fun. I like the fact that all of the Call of Duty games have added different game modes into the game but the thing I like the mode is that they add specialty game modes during the weekends. They do limit the party limit to six players per team.

I don’t like how the game is a pay to win game and the fact that you have to get the special stuff from the supply drops is kinda crap. I don’t like how people have to pay to get better stuff than other people. Another thing is that they don’t have too many characters to choose from. Otherwise known as specialist characters will different abilities and rank ups. It is a rated M game and that might affect the amount of people who play the game and the maturity of the players who do play.

I enjoyed it a lot. The campaign was amazing. The story was interesting, had good voice acting, and was fun to play. The zombies mode wasn't perfect, but it was fun and was a good twist on the normal zombies mode. The multiplayer isn't as good as the last ones, but it was fast and fun. It also keeps you wanting to play more of it. It is worth a buy.

As for the online play.. Call of Duty will always be like this. We are past the days of World at War or Modern Warfare 2 and it's only going to add on. Yes, it's similar to BO3, yes nothing has changed but take it for what it is. Yes, the servers aren't perfect but what game is? Out of every 15-20 matches, I run into 1 or 2 networking issues.

Yes, people are hating and their claims are legitimate but for someone who has always enjoyed COD (on and off), I'm not disappointed. This might just be a wake up call for them try something new but that's 7-8 months down the road. Until then, have your fun with it.

FYI: I think people have just got a lot worse at COD though.. In objective based games, no one tries to win.. and in kill based games, no one tries to kill...

Multiplayer: Lightning Fast, Smooth gameplay with a lot of variation, base multiplayer maps are for the most part great, but, some of the quality of the DLC maps is Questionable. Hit-Detection/Shots Registering is not an issue on this game, despite what a lot of people claim.

Zombies: A very wild, piss-poor story driven experience, saved only by one or two maps out of the 5.
Rave in the Redwoods is a great, fun map with a few funny, yet annoying issues.. but definitely a positive experience. The other being the base map, Zombies in Spaceland.. Not the easiest of maps to get your head around, with a tough Easter Egg and Incredibly tough boss-fight, this map will be a challenge for the biggest Zombies enthusiast.

Reyes and Salt, among the other great characters, bring the campaign to life in a way that previous titles in the franchise haven't been able to do. This is an all-out war - and you really sense that. Combined with the amazing graphics both in-game and during cutscenes, it is impossible not to be immersed into the story - except if you're a flat-out hater. The campaign of Infinite Warfare shows a subtlety that is not present in any other title in the franchise. You get the sense that IW took some notes from games like The Last of Us and realized that sometimes - less is more. In Infinite Warfare, every cutscene is not filled with epic battles while being blasted with loud music, but instead we get to learn about the individual characters in a movie-like manner where sometimes the music might even be completely absent. Another key element is the continuity when it comes to artistic style in the campaign. There is a distinct filter that just makes everything pop. It looks professional, real, and life-like.

When it comes to the multiplayer I'll be honest - at first, I hated it and actually quit. However, after continually playing it I have gotten used to it. Most of the maps are decent, while others aren't exactly my favourite, but that's always the case. I'm not a huge fan of the implementation of weapon variants as it favours pay-to-win, but I've come to the conclusion that they don't make the biggest difference in-game. The rigs are probably the biggest problem in the multiplayer section. They just feel... boring. This is where IW should have taken notes from Treyarch and their specialists, who each had a voice, backstory and intention. The rigs are just simply... there. But again, the multiplayer by itself plays well once you get used to it.

Zombies is back and this time with a theme-park setting set in the past. At first, I thought it would be too goofy, but I've come to like it as it brings back vibes from the movie "Zombieland". So this zombies experience is a really fun one - if you're matched with people who actually know what they are doing.

Finally, it is by far the campaign of Infinite Warfare that has the biggest impact on the score.

the story line is very typical of these games, nothing special with its big bad villain and oorah marines of old but it serves its purpose.

The ship you control during the dogfight is painfully simple but still manages to be a lot of fun, rarely did the game ever feel dull during the moments when I was allowed to fly a ship and take on the enemy. This is probably the biggest surprise of the entire game, it's a genuinely nice addition to the tired CoD franchise at this point.

Zombies mode is the most fun it has been in a long time, I always felt that it was getting too complex and convoluted following the story of the 4 characters the mode became heavily focused around. This years version somewhat simplifies it but keeps it fun. It feels as though it isn't as difficult to make it to the higher rounds now but still has a fair challenge to it. The hit detection has largely been improved too which is always a plus.

The multiplayer is pretty poor, while the gameplay feels fast and smooth it just feels as though there is too much going on once people start earning their kill streaks. On top of that the spawn system is awful, it was not uncommon for me to spawn in front of an enemy soldier or around the corner from the enemy team, this could be fixed but I highly doubt it will be. The maps feel mostly uninspired with the typical corners and corridors design being used once again that we've seen in pretty much every Call of Duty game since Modern Warfare.

Overall this game just doesn't do enough to justify yet another yearly release, Activision need to take a break and revitalize this franchise or it will continue to see its sales drop off from the previous years installments. The height of Call of Duty's success is over, it's no longer selling on name alone and it's time to earn gamers desire for this series back once again.

The story was alright except we never find out why the enemy is trying to take over earth. I was waiting to hear their reasons but was never told. That annoyed me. Also character getting killed didn't effect me in anyway since we never really got invested in them and their deaths just came out of no where.

The jet sections seem like they would be fun but it was hard to evade anything which end up making it annoying to have to do.

Multiplayer still has that issue of only being good for run 'n gunners. It was not good for anyone with any other types of play styles.

Zombie mode......It was interesting with the 80s theme but it's still the same. Keeps going long and gets boring after a while with others yell at you trying to get the high score.

Overall it was best to rent then buy. I heard some saying it's just like BO3 but I didn't play that. I was not able to try MW remastered and I doubt they will release it separately.

The start of Infinite Warfare had me impressed... it had me glued to the screen...
It was completely gorgeous, and then I run into freakin Jon Snow, and Im punched out by Connor Mcgreggor
And I thought, wow.. It doesn’t get better than this...
    And I was Right…
Because the rest of the campaign is awful…
I haven’t been around a call of duty game since ghosts… So maybe Advanced Warfare and Blackops 3 were worse... but as far as Im concerned... this is hands down the most boring first person shooter campaign ive played through ever as it completely lacks any variety…And the sad thing is that it doesn’t start that way... It creeps there…
As stated again, the beginning is great, and this game is gorgeous… You also take part in ship combat just as much as on foot… And this campaign is a record breaking 7 hours long…
But its padded out with the same boring side quests where you’re either going on foot into the same enemy ship over and over or getting into space battles that after you’ve experienced the first 3 are just no fun at all…
At first it’s thrilling and you can feel the smirks activision is giving at no man’s sky as you’re locking onto enemies and taking them out… and then you do it again.. And again…. And again…
The only redeeming quality of these side missions which really take up about 3 of the 7 hours is that they all feature collectibles in the form of actual characters... there are these wanted collectibles that attach a name and a face to random soldiers throughout different missions…
This is probably the coolest way to do collectibles and Id love to see it return in future games..
    This campaign isn’t all bad...
The beginning moments of the campaign also smacked me with so many epic moments... the story missions had character… But as soon as I became captain the game went downhill…
But who buys call of duty for single player besides me and like 3 other people…
I’m just saying once you get bored, and believe me.. You will...
Don’t drag yourself forward in hopes it gets better... because it doesn’t…
The gameplay... the shooting… the wall running…
All of it here feels bad... which is surprising...
Call of Duty’s running and guns have been the standard I judge other first person shooters with…
And they don’t even live up to their own standards here... variety is lacking, the robot enemies you fight throughout the campaign are bullet sponges which takes away the slicing through cheese satisfaction I expect from a call of duty campaign, and the jetpack and wall running ripped from titanfall feels garbage… They better rehire those guys to fix it for them and then fire them again after they have their secrets…. There’s no stickiness that makes it feel great in that game… it feels awkward every time you do it…
So you played single player for the 10/10 first 2 hour experience.. Rightfully got bored, let’s hop into some multiplayer…
You can either play zombies which this time is set in a 80s theme park, complete with the lingo and 80s music playing in the background…
    And of course competitive multiplayer…
And thankfully the multiplayer redeems as these maps are all greatly designed…
and fun to play in... At least in standard modes...
I’m not really sure what call of duty is going for with its spawn trapper mode front line
and I’m not a fan of the added gimmicks either...
If snipers weren’t annoying enough, now we have sliders and jumpers..
The jetpacks and sliding I feel add more variables of luck and cheap tactics that you don’t deal with in simple run and gun style…
The wall running can stay as it keeps the gameplay even more fast paced than usual…
But my targets getting away from me by sliding or flying around is more of a nuisance than a cool added element to strategy…
If it’s not broke don’t fix it..
There’s a reason were craving competitive shooters set in the past rather than the future…
In the case of this genre... the simpler the better…
Overall Infinite Warfare is a let down…
New maps are all it has going for it…
I give Call of Duty Infinite Warfare
    a 7/10

Multiplayer: I'm gonna have to admit that this is the worst in the series. Though fun at times, there are still allot of issues that need addressing. The tight angle map designs, inconsistent spawns and lag-compensation ruins the experience of how COD shooter should play. I think if the devs work on these problems, it shouldn't feel that bad. Infinite warfare forces you to play slower and wittier... this sort of mechanic worked well in Modern Warfare, but not infinite warfare. The maps feel very tight and much more appropriate for a fast-twitch sort of shooter.

I didn't expect a lot, but I really had fun playing the campaign. The story is the typical hero story full of stereotypes and patriotism, but nevertheless, it delivered. A lot of weapons, upgrades and even sidemissions - all in 60fps.

So after the campaign I tried the multiplayer and guess what: it was also fun. Actually, it still is a lot of fun. Its a really solid shooter and I don't get the hate. You can hate the company for releasing a very similar game every year, but its still solid. My personal highlight of the game is the Zombie mode, where you fight off hordes of zombies like in Left 4 Dead. I even purchased the season pass to get the additional 4 Zombie maps.

Finally, it can be said, that the game is, in its core, still a COD game. i'd give it a 7,5 because after weeks, I'm still hooked. My advice: if you like fast paced shooters and its about 30 bucks, get it. You won't regret it.

Whether it's because of lag compensation, chaotic map design, the spawns, combined with the copy and pasted Black Ops 3 movement, nothing you do matters. I could play the game with my eyes closed and I'd still end up with a similar score. It doesn't even take advantage of the fact that it takes place in space the same way the campaign does. It's just Black Ops 3 with mostly small maps.

Story: You play as Nick Reyes, a commander of the U.N.S.A after an attack was launched on earth from General Kotch (John Snow from Game of Thrones) and the SDF, Reyes and his partner Salt (Salter) fight their way through their city of Geneva getting to their ships and boarding the Retribution: which is now their home base for the remainder of the campaign. So your objective in this campaign is to defeat General Kotch and stop the SDF forever.

Gameplay: So this is your average first person shooter Call of Duty, with some new weapons and, gadgets and, dog fights this time which I love. New editions are more than welcomed this year with the side missions, these side missions are one of two things, infiltrating an enemy ship and planting charges to blow up the ship, or intense dogfights to bring down other larger aircraft carriers. The new weapons load out system is another really nice addition to this year’s call of duty, before each mission, you will go to the loadout dock and choose which guns you want to use during the current mission there will be recommendations but you can customize it any way you want to including the weapons on your ship before you roll out. While going through the course of this game and even playing the Multiplayer I couldn’t help but think that Call of Duty has become too much like Halo with the jet packs and the laser guns, I just wish they would go back to their roots of being a straight-up military shooter; when I play a call of duty game I do not want to be jumping around, floating and sliding all over the place.

Verdict: The writing in this game is fantastic, the characters are memorable, it’s high in action, new additions to the gameplay and fantastic story telling but when I play Call of Duty games I want a military shooter, not a space shooter.

The space theme is good. The zombies is stupid and serious enough to enjoy but ignore that and its a pretty good zombies experience. The Campaign is now one of the best Call of Duty campaigns. It was great and was much more innovative from the previous titles. One thing I was disappointed to hear was that call of duty ghosts 2 didn't release, leaving us with a cliffhanger.

My favourite character was Ethan because he was loyal and seeing people get along well is fun to watch. The zombies is really good, too bad there was only one non-DLC map but the map itself is awesome. A small group of teenagers sent into a horror movie set at a theme park in the 1980's. Having wasted $60 to buy this game, I'm now left a bit disappointed as I think I would rather wait for price drops or invested in other games.
Let me put it this way. This is not the best COD title this year. Titanfall 2 is. (although it is not called COD)

Actually, I hate that internet community who is hating just to hate and be in the crowd. But game is flawed. And with every COD I am expecting good action packed B movie adventure. Here developers got different approach to game, other than before. They made good sense of open world and that you can travel to very planet and beat side quest missions. I love that. And I love space battles gameplay, although after time it feels repetitive.
But game feels in general same. I mean gameplay, character feel and sound design. Game did not impress me and I was bored at times. Characters did not interest me. Maybe because I am not big sci-fi fan.
If you like me and care only about campaign I suggest you to rent a game from Red Box and you can beat that game in one set or couple days depends how you play.

Very similar to my fav ps4 cod (back ops 3) but somehow I just couldn't get into it. I think it was mainly the maps that bored me.

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is not a bad game at all. Nothing in CoD IW screams incompetence. It's more or less a tapped out resource. I just cant do space right now lol. IW is a fast paced, well put together fps, but I think it's downfall is going to be it's multiplayer. One thing I was a bit excited for is maybe they would have some type of multiplayer space dog fights considering how much you fly in the campaign, but that is not the case. It is VERY much still CoD. I cant say if it was Activision or Infinity Ward that decided to go with the pay 2 win mechanic but a terrible idea none the less. Especially in a highly competitive shooter like CoD. I know it may sound like I'm just a battlefield fan trying to crap on CoD but I have always LOVED both franchises for their differences but Infinite Warfare is just more CoD, whereas I think we as fans of CoD were ready for something new. I had a lot more fun with MW 3 honestly. No sliding, no double jump, no grapple, no wall running, just classic CoD. I think MW3 will have much longer legs to stand on than IW. Expand

The COD does offer so far the best graphics compared to previous CODs and Storyline is better than past CODS, still a bit weak. However the characters dialogue is the best i've seen. However the characters dialogue is the best i've seen. I love the humour from your robot ally EM. I wish EA focussed more on character development and story telling and dialogue to make this game really stand out from Battlefield 1 because BF1 stories were way too short and non really memorable.

There is very little to none backstory to the SDF enemy forces, including Kit H and Connor's character and it makes them very 2D and non memorable. KIT H's character sounds like a typical NAZI cookie cutter character. Also I don't feel attached to the main character Ryes.

I think the biggest let down was not taking full advantage of the wall running and sliding mechanics like Titanfall 2. The FPS shooting action does get a bit generic, but the air space combat is refreshing and also very fun similar to old Freelancer game on PC back in the 1990s.

    Music is great.

The zombies in spaceland is quite fun.

I cannot comment on multiplayer as I don't like COD MP in general.

I get why haters are angry at this game because they paid the full rrp for this game at launch while I loaned it at the library. But maybe that's a little too far out there for the haters. Nothing much has really changed. Same recipe as before: add twitch sauce in very short time-to-kill seconds, put everyone in a tiny map and you get a COD multiplayer. Meanwhile sprinkle some easy trophies over this twitch-fest to keep the COD kids happy. Easy peasy Japaneasy. Or, when you're ready to man up just get Battlefield 1 where real skills are needed for a real shooter. Final score: 6.5 Expand

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is a decent game that delivers a far better experience than Black Ops 3, but suffers from multiple problems. It makes the story feel so generic and safe that it really goes to show you how much Activision refuse to try new ideas that are sorely needed in its series. The multiplayer I think is only slightly better than BO3's but it still goes through a terrible loot system and abilities that can be exploitative, not to mention the classes are lacking a sort of anonymity to them that just worked with the pre-Ghost games. The zombies is perhaps the strongest aspect of the game, but it gets strung with loot boxes that tie to your own resources in mp (screw off the guy who thought that was a okay idea) and still follows the one zombie map system that continues to happen without thought.

Despite my gripes, I actually still think it is worth saying the game is fun. It just keeps doing stupid business practices and ideas that hurt its potential. I don't want Call of Duty to die; I just want it to be worked on and tested for for years like Battlefield games and really put an effort in delivering great moments like its old days. The hate for this game is understandable, but to me personally it is better than Ghosts, Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3. Love it, hate it, Infinite Warfare is alright.

Brutto.

I was satisfied with the ending and the message that came out of the story. However I did find it rather lackluster as I completed the game in a few short hours after starting.

Online multiplayer I can't say I am a fan of due to everyone flying around in the sky and running off walls I find really ridiculous as well as some of the "perks?" or kill streaks that allow an enemy to suddenly fly back to where he was 4 seconds ago completely catching me off guard to "what the **** was that?" then getting killed by him seconds later not understanding what the **** had happened.

Overall I enjoyed the story however the multiplayer is just plain awful. Honestly I can't wait for Call of Duty WW2. Back to boots on the ground no stupid super powers. (These are just my opinions and I hope you pick the up the game and decide for yourself.)

For me, multiplayer was a huge disappointment. The maps are much more dull than BO3 and the combat specialists are kind of lame. Play Black Ops 3 instead, a much better experience overall (although I will say the graphics are fantastic and loading speeds aren't as awful as BO3). Zombies in Spaceland was a good time. I actually have not played this game's campaign.

Nice story, fun zombie mode, and nothing new.
The Dominion trophy still glitches after 1 whole year from release day.
I personally bought this game because of the Modern Warfare Remastered download code :p

Looking back on my least favorite Cod game, I realize that it wasn't all bad. I actually liked the single player campaign and I have fond memories of it. The multiplayer is where I had problems. It felt like they didn't even try with the maps and I was bored of the gameplay after a couple hours. It didn't really have that call of duty feeling. Overall I would give it a 6.1.

As a whole package, all the praise should be going toward the single player experience, and I'd never thought I'd say that about a Call of Duty game in a long time. But in all honestly, it’s true. As for the multiplayer, it makes for an incredibly mundane and subpar experience that almost parodies itself. Completely making it very difficult to recommend the game as a whole.

Good old Infinity Ward is back and not just with Modern Warfare Remastered! The single player campaign (the best in years!) alone is enough to give Infinite Warfare a chance. Just like with Doom and Titanfall 2 I expected nothing from the game and was shocked with how good it turned out to be. [13/2016, p.34]

The action is so fast, and the time to kill so low, that anyone outside of the hardcore COD audience is in for a rough ride. [Jan 2017, p.110]
