As a real gamer i like to try a game first BEFORE hating it and not just because "Call Of Duty" is in the title.
If you're like me and not played COD for a few year IW is a great way to jump back, the campaign is awesome and multiplayer lots of fun. It also comes packaged with the best FPS of all time MW1. Dont jump on the hate bandwagon, be a real gamer and try for yourself.

Normally I start a review out with a on the spot joke that three people laugh at, but I need to say something that has been bugging me right now. If you hate Call of Duty Infinite Warfare without playing based on whatever stupid reason you can justify in your head all I can say is shut the **** up. So what if this isn’t the Call of Duty you wanted it is still an amazing game. HelloNormally I start a review out with a on the spot joke that three people laugh at, but I need to say something that has been bugging me right now. If you hate Call of Duty Infinite Warfare without playing based on whatever stupid reason you can justify in your head all I can say is shut the **** up. So what if this isn’t the Call of Duty you wanted it is still an amazing game. Hello internet folks B-rod, and I must say Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is the best game since Black Ops 2. They put a **** load of work into this game to make it great. This is what sequels are supposed to be it takes the formula that we are used to and adds upon it to make it a new game. If you just want the same FPS experience then play the same ****ing game, and let the rest of us play the new one that’ll add a new experience.

The game story is fantastic it takes place in the year of the future ( I have no clue what year) and a war has broken out with the people living on Mars and the people of Earth. You play Generic White Man the 4th who is basically more seriously less wanting to bang everything Captian Kirk. You are going against evil Jon Snow. I joke because Kit Harington plays the villain, but even the mannerisms are like if Jon Snow was just a villain instead of righteous hero. Sadly Kit Harington is the least compelling character in this game, which is probably because he is hardly in it. My personal favorite character is the robot companion Ethan. In my last review I said how charming the Titan was in Titanfall 2. No. **** that Titan Ethan is where it is at. Ethan is a funny, sarcastic, hero. Ethan is if Han Solo was a droid instead of a scruffy looking nerf herder. The story can be played by plowing through just the story missions or you can do the variety of side mission which vary from space combat or boarding enemy vessel to blow it up from the inside. The game is very cinematic with each main story beat either having me scream “oh **** or just having me very engaged to what was happening on the screen. That’s great and all, but how’s the gameplay?

The gameplay is Call of Duty in space; which we’ve seen already. What is new is the space combat the dog fighting is very enthralling probably because it is in space, but it is just super fun. The future tech is interesting I like that they added new guns that aren’t just machine gun, sniper, shotgun. You get a big ass gun that shoots a stream of laser that’ll eviscerate your enemy. It helps that it made me think of the weapons in District 9. For all you multiplayer fans I can’t say a damn thing to that because I just didn’t have time to cry for three hours. So maybe that is what everyone has a problem with I honestly don’t know.

Overall I loved this game, and only wish Activision didn’t screw around with making the $80 bundle with Modern Warfare, because I think that put a bad taste in people’s mouth, and they didn’t need to do it because this is a solid game. I say if you are a fan of the Call of Duty story definitely check it out. To the nah sayers out there I say rent this game seriously give this a shot, because this is a solid entry I wasn’t expecting to love as much as I did. I give this a 4.5/5 I couldn’t give it a perfect score only because I didn’t touch the multiplayer.

Reyes and Salt, among the other great characters, bring the campaign to life in a way that previous titles in the franchise haven't been able to do. This is an all-out war - and you really sense that. Combined with the amazing graphics both in-game and during cutscenes, it is impossible not to be immersed into the story - except if you're a flat-out hater. The campaign of Infinite Warfare shows a subtlety that is not present in any other title in the franchise. You get the sense that IW took some notes from games like The Last of Us and realized that sometimes - less is more. In Infinite Warfare, every cutscene is not filled with epic battles while being blasted with loud music, but instead we get to learn about the individual characters in a movie-like manner where sometimes the music might even be completely absent. Another key element is the continuity when it comes to artistic style in the campaign. There is a distinct filter that just makes everything pop. It looks professional, real, and life-like.

When it comes to the multiplayer I'll be honest - at first, I hated it and actually quit. However, after continually playing it I have gotten used to it. Most of the maps are decent, while others aren't exactly my favourite, but that's always the case. I'm not a huge fan of the implementation of weapon variants as it favours pay-to-win, but I've come to the conclusion that they don't make the biggest difference in-game. The rigs are probably the biggest problem in the multiplayer section. They just feel... boring. This is where IW should have taken notes from Treyarch and their specialists, who each had a voice, backstory and intention. The rigs are just simply... there. But again, the multiplayer by itself plays well once you get used to it.

Zombies is back and this time with a theme-park setting set in the past. At first, I thought it would be too goofy, but I've come to like it as it brings back vibes from the movie "Zombieland". So this zombies experience is a really fun one - if you're matched with people who actually know what they are doing.

Finally, it is by far the campaign of Infinite Warfare that has the biggest impact on the score.

Most underrated and unfairly hated COD of all time. I had 25 days spent on its multiplayer: great maps, great guns, great flow, great gameplay. This is actually the only COD I ever loved. It's a damn shame it didn't get the original trilogy it was planned to have as I'd be set for the next decade. Oh well.

This is my favorite cod game since Black Ops 1. I hated advanced warfare and blogs 3, not a fan of the jet packing around. However, they nailed the movement in this game, it feels great. They reduced the TTK which makes it feel more like Modern Warfare and Black Ops 1. The leveling up is extremely satisfying.

The gameplay just feels great. Yes, there are other great games out there but that's no reason to give this game a 0... If a game runs than it should at least get a 1. The barrage of negative reviews is absurd.

Call of duty infinite warfare, is one of the best CODs released since black ops 2. From what i've played on the SP so far best single player since MW2. MP is a hell load of fun, but seems like a little re copy of blops 3 (just re skinned). Zombies is eh, good map but never had been a zombies fan.

MW1 is OK, needs to be more balanced in guns and needs better servers

Disregard anyone giving a COD score below a 5. We get MW back, COD4, and it's almost as good as it was before, that gives the game an 8 without going further. Why isn't it as good as it was, because they blocked off some doors, nothing major, but nobody likes a door that is locked.

We also get two single player campaigns, and a new fresh zombies, and we get an additional multiplayer.

Boy was I happy when I saw the trailer for this game at E3 at 1st I thought it was the new star wars game, but it looked way to good for that. When I found out it was Call of Duty I went nuts. I had just come off Black Ops 3 and loved that game.

This is a different developer and they have a different style, with that being said and understood, "infinity ward" did a very good job on this one. I really like the campaign its an emotional story and with out spoiling it, I enjoyed my 2nd and 3rd play through more knowing the stories outcome already, as weird as that sounds. The graphics were great, gunplay awesome, guns were very good and sounded "loud". This is most defiantly a space shooter and it kicks ass.

Zombies is really fun this year, they used the same engine as black ops3 it looks like, but now its an 80's theme and its really fun. It's not as serious as last time around and more focused on fun. Think gta san andres time frame, but with zombies. They have the season pass comes with 4 more zombie chapters, which if there as good as this one, I'll be excited...

Multiplayer, is really fun I think the maps are smaller making it more frantic. There are plenty of modes and if you don't like people online they have bots with three difficulty levels, to play against. They have tons of maps and again with the season pass there are 4 times as many more.

For an extra $20 you can get the legacy edition which comes with "infinity wards" most famous title modern ware in a remastered edition which is cool if you want that too. I got the regular edition as I'm more into modern COD.But now I must admit I regret that decision. Also I saw the digital deluxe version for $100 which included the legacy edition plus the season pass(oh well missed out on that).

This game was really fun, very high quality as far as visuals, gameplay and sound design goes. The three modes all play well and are very interesting and entertaining. The stand out its the campaign this year but the two other modes do well to compliment each other for a complete package.

That said, I recently picked up a used version of Infinite Warfare for PS4, largely because I wanted a fun couch co-op/competitive shooter that might rekindle memories of the last CoD game I played - MW3 more than several years ago. I have been very impressed. The single player is very much CoD in space with a nice dash of BSG in the story. It's corny but frenetic and fun.

The multiplayer I've played so far is tight and fun. Not terribly different from the experience from MW3; probably faster, quicker spawn to death, and a decent attempt by a dev team trying to capture the wall-running sci fi magic that Respawn perfected in Titanfall 2. The modes are diverse, the guns typically balanced, and the perks/superpowers fun and not too OP or game skewing. But it is fun.

I wish the 1v1 maps/mode from that latter MW3 update was here, but the bots are surprisingly good for bots. They cut moves (spot proning for example) that are good practice for someone trying to practice maps and play around with weapons etc..

Zombies is a great experience too, and very fun for cough co-op. Seriously, with all the zombie DLC that has been released, this mode is easily a fully fleshed out stand-alone.

The fact that 4/5s of Zombies and over half of the MP maps are locked behind a $50 season pass, is absolutely inexcusable though. I bought infinite for 20 bucks and I want to buy the DLC but at this point, just even a few months before the sequel sequel releases, $50 for the full content is a blatantly cynical and abusive posture by Activision. Surprise, surprise.

To be fair, the content in the base game looks expensive, high production values and quality. The DLC does seem like a lot of content. It is still too expensive, and the money grubbing practice it over all insulting.

Overall, I am really enjoying this game in all three of its main pillars (Campaign, MP, and Zombies). This is a great game solo and even better local or online with other people. If you like shooters, and can find this one on discount, it is absolutely worth checking out. Full price for the base game, season pass (not to mention MW remastered), probably not.

Activation deserves an infinite amount of criticism for their avaricious approach to marketing games but this game is certainly good and it's ultimately hard to criticize a company for squeezing a player base with abandon, when they continue to make bank in the process. Capitalism baby for better or worse.

As a whole package, all the praise should be going toward the single player experience, and I'd never thought I'd say that about a Call of Duty game in a long time. But in all honestly, it’s true. As for the multiplayer, it makes for an incredibly mundane and subpar experience that almost parodies itself. Completely making it very difficult to recommend the game as a whole.
