    The last Infinite Warfare DLC is a decent one, but its best bits are recycled (remade Resistance map from Modern Warfare 3 is great!) and some levels are simply poor. [10/2017, p.50]

    While Absolution is by no means a disaster it just feels lacking in comparison to the rest of the content we’ve been given for Infinite Warfare so far. Although Absolution does add new content, and the Attack of the Radioactive Thing! is both complicated and fun, the multiplayer maps just don’t fit very well within the constructs of Infinite Warfare.

    At first I didn't like Absolution. It takes a while to get used to especially when playing maps like Ember (a remake of Resistance from MW3).At first I didn't like Absolution. It takes a while to get used to especially when playing maps like Ember (a remake of Resistance from MW3). Often I hate the remake maps at first because I'm stuck in my ways of how I used to play them, and when that doesn't work and you end up getting killed by boost jumping soldiers in places they original couldn't get to, it can lead to turning the game off and declaring it broken! But change your style, adapt and soon you are having fun again and now resistance remake has fast become one of my favorite maps again. It is the most fun when everyone seeks out the middle building (that is now a torture chamber instead of an apartment) and a full on chaotic melee ensues!

    Now that I've put a fair few hours into the map pack I'd go so far as saying it's the best map pack so far in IW.

    Bermuda
    Bermuda is an excellent map, it feels similar to Evac is Blops 3. It has a great flow using the old school 3 lane style that Cod fans have grown to love. It's bright with lots of color set in a beach setting with crashed spaceships. It plays well on all game types and is perfect for close quarters battles but there are some good lines of sight for snipers and campers.

    Permafrost
    Again this map has an old school vibe and would fit in with the earlier golden days of MW2. The map is a square route around a large mid section set in a frozen town. The roads have been destroyed leaving sneaky underground shortcuts into the buildings where you'll often find campers keeping warm. It plays well on all game types in particular domination. The map is bright and detailed. It has some great choke points and flanking routes creating some intense battles.

    Fore
    At first I didn't like Fore because it's a large and complex map, but once I learnt the routes and hiding spaces to look for scrubs, I started to really enjoy it. The map is a crazy golf course with different zones like a theme park. You'll fight among medieval castles, fire breathing dragons, Aztec structures, haunted forests, giant Ice creams and dinosaur bones. It really is insane the amount of cool locations they crammed into the map, and it works well. It reminds me of messed up version of Favela from MW2 (the layout of the map feels quite similar). Most game types work well but domination seems to be the best by far due to the size of the map.

    Resistance
    As I said before, I dint like this map at first but I really enjoy it now. It is nearly a perfect remake, they forgot to put the sneaky sniper hole in the middle building (you had to stand on a table and could look through a missing brick to shoot campers to the left of C flag). It flows well, works well with all classes and game types. It is a darker map than the original but still feels the same. One of the better remakes in IW along with Terminal.

    Zombies I can't comment on because I can't stand to play it longer than 10 mins, I really don't like wave shooters.But it looks nice and has a cool setting (1950's monster movies).

    All in all a very solid map pack that brings a few more hours fun to a game I had pretty much given up on. I just wish they would get rid of the p2p hosting that can really frustrate by causing unnecessary lag and the old emptying a full clip only to be insta killed by a guy who had his back to you!

    So far the best of the map packs.

    I've been playing these maps non stop since launch and can say with absolute positivity they are not only the best DLC maps but the best in the game. This DLC has outdone its self. If they stick to making more classic 3 route maps for future cods I think they'll gain the love back for the franchise. I've not had this much fun since MW2.    … Full Review »
