I bought this game mostly for Zombies, and I think they've done an excellent job with it. I was super happy when Zombie Chronicles came out, but the maps are updated to include BO3 features (Gobblegum, new weapons) which I think is a small mistake. I wanted to relive old memories and challenge my old records, but it is only a minor complaint.

I can't say much about the campaign as I've only played a little of it. I am a child of Goldeneye, so I don't really enjoy linear levels, cutscenes, regenerating health, or (especially) markers telling you where to go.

I'm not much of an online multiplayer guy, so I can't comment on that.

This game can be fun at times and improvements have been made bun I just found bo3 to fall flat in certain ways. Campaign was just bad. That's all I can say about campaign. Multiplayer as always with treyarch was fun and zombies is a slight improvement,

People who give this game a 0-1 is just stupid. "Gets worse every year" is not an excuse. This game is probably one of the best COD games of all time. You may see that mine is a 7, however, for which is because there is a few things to talk about how it's not amazing.

    - Microtransactions
This is really what brings multiplayer down a bit. If they didn't add Ranged Weapons and sticked to Melee Weapons in supply drops, that would've been fine. Not to mention Zombies has microtransactions (with Liquid Divinium). The two modes have pay-to-win elements. In Multiplayer, it's the ranged weapons (melee weapons are just a reskin of the Combat Knife). In Zombies, it's gobblegum like Perk-a-holic, shopping free, and Power Vacuum.

    -Campaign
If you are not a story person (kind of like me), this mode is fine. For the people who are, this game is a nightmare. The important plot points are in that super-duper fast scrolling text. This mode would be fine if the story wasn't bad.

The rest of the game is pretty good.

This game was ok, For me the most decent game of all the Futuristic COD's out there.
The Campaign was meh for me, It was kind of hard to understand and it didn't tie in with the campaigns of BO1 and BO2.
The Multiplayer was ok, The Maps were good and I don't think the Specialists in this game was bad but for me It just felt like Advanced Warfare 2. The Zombies was amazing, I loved

I have never played the Black Ops Series, nor even knew what it was about, until now. With the new Black Ops Cold War launching soon as of this writing, and with Black Ops 3 in my library (I got it for free as part of Playstation Plus), my experience with the Black Ops series could begin. I watched walkthroughs of the first two games, to get an understanding of the story, and I liked them both.

But with Black Ops 3 taking place in 2065, I was really skeptical about this. What I like about the first Black Ops game, was its setting in the 1960’s with “real life” locations. So of course, a game with robots in a futuristic world…. It isn’t my favorite thing to play.

But I actually quite enjoyed it. Of course if I didn’t get it for free, I wouldn’t have played it. But I am glad that I got to play it.

The story is okay, sometimes it was perfect, and sometimes it was boring. But I really liked, that it was about the negative things about the future of mechanical and digital things. It is quite scary if robots in real life goes rogue, or prosthesis is mechanical things connected to your brain. That was a positive thing about the story. The characters are not that interesting compared to the prior games. I also think there is a lack of mention or present of previous characters. I am really missing the connection why this is the third installment. Personally this game could have been named something else and I wouldn’t be against it.

The gameplay is the highlight of this game. It is fast paced, but still you can enjoy the beautifully surroundings at a slower pace. The shooting is fast paced and… fun. Normally I just want to enjoy the narrative, but when the story was at the boring stages, the shooting helped me to enjoy the game. The wall climbing and jumping are also okay fun in the beginning. But strangely I could not figure out to equip them in the story. So I completed the game without the use of these mechanical equipment.

I have only played a few matches in online. As always Call of Duty is a perfect online experience with different modes and places. But with the present of wall running and super jumps I did not enjoy it as much as other online Call of Duty games. Personally I can’t figure out the super jumps in online matches, so I prefer a natural gun battle in Deathmatch.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is a surprisingly good game. I prefer the more realistic Call of Duty game without the futuristic, however I did enjoy this. Comparing the prior games in the series, I prefer them over this because of the realism. It has an okay story with fun high paced gameplay and beautiful surroundings.

I think it is a pretty decent game. It had a nice campaign with some weird stuff going on, but it was enjoyable.

I think this is one of the better variants of the CoD franchise.

    Haven’ tried multiplayer though.

Really good camping although the ending is too long. Few really nice plots but some characters are completely dull. There are also few epic scenes especially in ww2 surreal mison. Overall it was a fresh and nice experience.

Multiplayer is great. No doubt. The movement is very smooth and the shooting feels very smooth as well. The maps are alright, but they could be better. The weapons are pretty average for a Black Ops game, but there are some unique additions as well (there is a full-auto nail gun!). Multiplayer 8/10.

Campaign is bad. Not horrible, but bad. The missions feel like im playing through a fever dream from space. The story makes 0 sense and has no connection to Bo1 and Bo2. The voice acting is poor, and it doesn't help that none of the events or things in the story are explained, its like they just expect you to know what is going on. Train go boom. Campaign 2/10.

Zombies is mediocre. There really isn't much to say about it. It is relatively underwhelming. Also what the heck is it with gobblegums? Zombies 5/10.

Overall, Call of Duty®: Black Ops 3 is a underwhelming game for Zombies fans, a really bad game for Campaign fans, and a pretty great game for Multiplayer fans. My general rating of Call of Duty®: Black Ops 3 is a 7/10.

Overall, not a bad game, but not great. The campaign starts off interesting, but gets confusing. The multiplayer is decent, but there's nothing really special about it and most of the maps are poorly designed. The zombies is solid, but again, not the best.

But i must say that i have really enjoyed the zombies mode. It's just pure fun and the lore is also fairly interesting.
Overall from the more casual gamer perspective i like the game but from the call of duty fan perspective i don't like it that much.

Special weapons are cool, never overpowered or distracting. The large cluttered maps are well designed, but often there will be entire sections of the map where nothing is happening and simply don't work on some game modes, such as Free For All and Gun game and even traditional TDM. There is a lack of small maps. Domination is the MP mode that gets the most tlc treatment from Treyarch. For what might be the most content packed COD game ever made, the quality just isn't there. Unless you plan on spending all your time on Zombies and certain MP modes like Domination, this isn't worth your time.

What we have here is the best Call of Duty single player experience to date. The multiplayer is solid too, though the much-talked re-design has resulted a multiplayer experience that really doesn’t differ all that much from the previous ones. [Nov 2015]
