Giving this game a zero is silly, BUT giving a blind 10 is just as dumb.

In my opinion it is a good game but not great. Campaign is best enjoyed with friends and multiplayer is decent. I am not a fan of the movement and special abilities. Graphics and frame rate is excellent, better than halo. With my personal favorite zormbies mode, the game will definitley be worth it for some,

For me however, i just don't like he movement. Advanced warfare was a fun change, but i wanted black ops 3 to have normal movement.

Absolutely no innovation and honestly a massive disappointment from Treyarch with one of the worst campaigns ever in call of duty and a mediocre multiplayer mode. The Zombie mode this year is unique especially the secret mode and dead ops arcade but its nothing special. This is essentially another year another COD.

The campaign is one of the worst Call of Duty campaigns. Very short and worse than average. Multiplayer is buggy and I keep getting dropped out of matches. Very laggy. If you liked previous Black Ops, don't buy this one. Black Ops 1 and 2 were better across the board.

Very fun co-op campaign including a Nightmare mode with zombies. Multiplayer is very fun, fluid, great customization tools, great and detailed maps fleeing a bit of sense of futurism that the game it's proposed (this brings nostalgia for those who enjoy the old cods). And then there's a lot of content to unlock. Amazing, one of the best COD ever.

This game should have been better.

I loved BO II so I thought I would support this next release, but sadly this didn't wow me or really have anything good about it to make it stand out.

MP was very poor in optimization, SP was short and the content overall was there but wasn't really hiding the very poor Matchmaking and FPS lock.

There are no choices in this one because it's focused on co-op.

There are no flashbacks to interesting wars.

You create your own generic character so you don't play as someone interesting this is also a result of their focus on co-op.

The action is boring also because it was designed for co-op.

Everything just feels so bad and not at all what I was expecting from Treyarch.

Co-op is ruining gaming some people don't want to play games with others they just want to play a fun singleplayer game.

STOP PUTTING CO-OP IN EVERYTHING IT DOESN'T WORK!

Then AW surely would be the nail in the coffin, but nope, the young often noobish new generation who have heard the stories from us veterans about COD 4, WAW and MW2 keep on buying this junk in the hope they will be an accepted part of the once golden COD community.

Unfortunatly for them, the skilled commuity has retired now. All that is left are squeeky kids jumping around and wildly shooting on badly designed maps in the hopes they can be legendary twitch streamers! But the game has little to offer and little to achieve. The pure skill and almost autistic map knowledge required to be a beast in the older cods no longer means anything. Just grab a gun, jump like and idiot, run across a wall and get maybe two kills if you don't suffer the still present game breaking lag!

I honestly wish we still had MW2, and they just made new maps and weapons, I'd probably even pay microtransactions on that game (gasp!). But no, each year we are treated to a whole new pile of festering turd that in no way improves over the last. It just builds on the stupid game style that has now changed COD from been and intelligent twitch shooter to an ADHD simulator (believe me I have it I know!).

So I have to say this really is the final time I will ever pay for a COD game again. I'm done. This is the final insult to the community who built this game up to glory and have been shat on for their promotion of a once legendary franchise. RIP cod. Burn in Hell Blops3!

Black Ops I and II were great. The Modern Warfare trilogy was good. This? Is garbage. Usually Black Ops games are unique compared to other installments (AW, Ghosts, WaW, etc). But it just felt like an extension of Advanced Warfare. Over complicated zombies mode, an online community bogged down with 12 year olds (not the games fault, but still a major down point). This game's story is possibly the worst of all the CODs I've played, which is a shame because I've enjoyed the campaigns in every COD since World at War. Nevertheless, it's still playable - but the convoluted narrative just gives you a headache.

    ZOMBIES 2/10
I absolutely loved the four zombie maps in World at War, and most of the maps in Black Ops I were great too. I hated zombies in Black Ops II, mainly because the maps were just too big - and they killed the ethos of nazi zombies by having all those pointless easter eggs. Exo-Zombies in Advanced Warfare is far more enjoyable than in BO2 or BO3.

Black Ops III has the worst zombie maps of all - just way too big. The only consolation is the map The Giant, which is a re-imagined version of Der Riese. What also kills the game are those gobblegums that are absolutely needed to get anywhere in a game - and you need to play an awful lot of games to 'buy' these gobblegums from the vendor. P2W? No thank you.

    MULTIPLAYER 8/10
I only started playing online with Ghosts because of my girlfriend - she loves MP in COD, and I thought I'd give it a try when I met her. Ghosts had maps that would have been great for Battlefield, i.e. they were too big for COD. Advanced Warfare had some decent maps, but the online just felt a bit sluggish at times.

This is where BO3 excels - the multiplayer. Sure, some people hate the wall-running and boost jumping, but you just have to accept a game for what it is. I got into BO3 MP within a couple of hours of playing it. They kept the Pick-10 system, which works beautifully. You still get the usual no-scopers and quick-scopers, but nowhere as painful to play as any of the Modern Warfare series. If Treyarch were to remove quick-scoping and no-scoping (basically remove aim assist for all sniper rifles, heck I'd even accept if they removed aim assist for ALL weapons), then I'd bump the score up to a 9.

    OVERALL 7/10
That's right, my rating isn't an average of the above three scores. Why not? I believe in trying to enjoy a game as much as possible. WAW, BO1 and AW had replay value because of zombies; MW, MW2, MW3 had reasonable MP but quick-sniping killed it really; Extinction mode in Ghosts was brilliant; and BO2 had little replay value because the MP wasn't great, zombies had awfully huge maps.

I believe BO3 deserves a 7 because it has replay value if you can look past the wall-running/boost jumping in the multiplayer. There is a huge amount of customisation for your loadouts, not to mention you can create your own emblems, weapon skins, etc.

Yes its true it doesn't deviate to far from its past but its still a very fun turn off your brain, lets shoot stuff kinda game and if you where expecting something insanely different... well at this point you probably shouldn't have. In an age where sequels are extremely pressed to find something new while keeping things the same cod manages to stay fun. Plus, its surprising that this yearly franchise can hold so much more content with a decent campaign, interesting/fun zombies, and another extra zombie "story mode". So if you want a pretty decent and fun game pick it up, it'll hold your attention enough for your moneys worth, especially if you have friend to play it with. Expand

This game sucks. It has to be the worst COD I have ever played. No variety in enemies. No improvements to game play since the 7th gen consoles. I understand this game is mostly a multiplayer game, but without a good campaign, when the servers shut down it is a coaster at best.

I'd say Black Ops 3's main failure is the campaign - it's a piece of **** Very dull gameplay with very dull and forgettable characters. This is the first COD I have played properly since MW3 and after playing a few hours of campaign it was immediately apparent that the Call Of Duty I knew and loved was no more. It feels like the game is having an identity crisis at times.

One of the best things about COD campaigns when I was younger was the authentic feel of story line and the gameplay; In COD 4 and MW2 you actually felt like the events taking place were entirely possible in the real world. Coupled with the amazing stealth missions in both games, this created the ultimate FPS experience - you felt like a covert special forces soldier.

Coming from that to this is somewhat a let down. The story line is too far fetched for my liking. Don't get me wrong, I do like futuristic/sci-fi games - but it's just not what COD should be about in my opinion.

The multiplayer is pretty fun in my opinion (when it works). Me and my friends have all remarked at the bugginess of matchmaking in this release. You are constantly dealing with issues in which your party members aren't taken into lobbies with you, can't join your invites or can't send the invites in the first place. The maps aren't brilliant, though, and there isn't a lot of them at all. Class creation isn't as good as it should be, in my opinion (but that's just me) - I've never been a fan of the unlock points/class item slot limit thing.

Zombies is actually pretty good. There's only one map though, granted, it is quite a large one. I'm still trying to work the map out (without watching YouTube videos) so I'm not in a position to give you a really in depths analysis of everything at this point though. I'm a bit biased when it comes to zombies, though. There's just something about it that I really enjoy. They could put a piece of **** map with zombies in front of me and I'd likely enjoy it.

    Thanks for reading!

I was kind of torn about the campaign in this game as it had a new story with new characters but it does not explain anything about the previous Black Ops games` story. One thing i will say though is that this is the most beautiful Call Of Duty game i have ever played as it is filled with more vibrant colours instead of grey and dull colours. I have not had a lot of time in the multiplayer but what i have played is just average Call Of Duty. The gunsmith and paintshop features a very interesting as the gunsmith allows you to create a variant to a weapon and the paintshop allows you to create your own camo for weapons. Zombies is the best thing about this game in my opinion. Shadows Of Evil features 4 new characters who are all portrayed by famous actors. The new leveling up system in zombies is a massive improvement from the Black Ops 2 system which hardly ever worked.

Overall Black Ops 3 is not a perfect game but it is an improvement over the past two games we have been given. I recommend it if you are into casual FPS games or if you want to check out the zombies.

The casting of a familiar detective as Taylor and the intrigue played up around the events of an early level that takes place in post-apocalyptic Shanghai are fun little perks so far, but honestly, who bought this game for the story?

Multiplayer is downright FUN, with guns that sound great, feel powerful, and ultimately serve their purpose beautifully. The sniper rifles are a bit lacking in real panache, which I found saddening as a guy who loves sniping, but for the first time ever in a CoD game I found myself having fun using the LMGs, which was neat (go, go Gorgon!). The maps are actually very good, with lots of detail to pick out and explore. You may find yourself diving into the algae-filled water of an abandoned aquarium, or running along the curved walls of silos at a farm in the middle of nowhere. Level design is great, and makes for exciting gameplay of all kinds, near and far, on pretty much every map.

Zombies is fun but the learning curve is steep. I have yet to make it past round 10 because I have no friends who play the game and always get matchmaked with newbies. You have to know what you're doing and where to go, and when you're on a team that isn't working in sync the zombies campaign can be brutally difficult.

Overall, a return to quality for Treyarch that I sincerely enjoyed. Renewed my interest in the franchise substantially.

As a shooter, there is nothing fun about its formula. Movement is stiff, gameplay mechanics are dry. There really no tactical elements to this game. The average CoD player just waits behind a corner with a shotgun to kill you. I know that there will always be campers, but when an overwhelming majority of players camp, it is annoying.

The community is also the worst. There are a lot of little kid with a very bad attitude and teens who feel cool from insulting people. Only in CoD can players run around with a sniper rifle, shoot the body, and call themselves quick scope snipers. More than often you will come across a sniper who is just mindlessly, carelessly quick scoping your body because he know that if he even hits your leg he will win the gun encounter.

The maps are small, so player who know the spawn point will easily spawn kill. The super or specials are truly lame.

Zombie Mode. Everyone rants about this mode. Buy it for zombies. There are many much better zombie games in the market that allow you to customize more, explore more, and kill zombies in much more creative ways. In Black Ops 3, there really is no purpose to zombie. You endless fights hoards of zombies with the same weapon, over and over again. You kill them the same way each and every time.

Ultimately, despite it many installments, it's all the same, You mindlessly run around tight corridors and hope that there isn't anyone with a shotgun waiting for you as you turn a corner.

I quit gaming and shooters for some time and after a couple years was dreading buying another call of duty simply because I was unimpressed by everything after MW3. I was pleasantly suprised with BO3.

First off, the multiplayer feels solid as ever. I especially like how you're able to fire your weapon during ANY action, whether it be mantling, wallrunning, or swimming. I feel like in a close quarters fire fight this ups the intensity. The nature of the maps themselves provide mostly balanced approach options and campers don't last very long. There are always maps people are going to hate, lets just get that out of the way before you crucify map design in general.

Not sure about weapon balancing. I'm finding a high damage **** accuracy smg is taking more bullets to kill than a low damage high accuracy smg (with a lower fire rate). However, I don't feel like there are any ridiculously overpowered/overused weapons as of right now in multiplayer. I've noticed no patterns or immediately felt like someone was cheap for using a certain gun (maybe i'm just salty about ACRs from MW3).

The specialist aspect is a nice touch, though they kind of feel a tad out of place in their balance. Some specialist weapons such as the Reaper's Scythe/Battery's War Machine essentially let you go on a rampage, whereas Nomad's H.I.V.E nearly forces you to camp in order to get your mileage out of it.

I haven't gotten too deep into campaign mode but i sorely wish that the customization options (visual wise) available in this mode were available in multiplayer. Having a completely customized character from gender, to armor, to loadouts, to abilities makes for a different experience with every playthrough. Though I haven't completed it, it is always something I always contemplate instead of starting up multiplayer.

However, from what I've played, Campaign mode, blissfully departs from the linear nature of your typical shooter, allowing you to jump into any mission, adjusting your loadouts and abilities as such. Having a couple friends join you on a mission mixes things up quite a bit. Though I think campaign will go unnoticed in lieu of multiplayer and zombies. It's worth a shot though.

Zombies is as deep as ever, with even more customization options than ever (you can now gain experience towards unlockables and custom loadouts). A very entertaining plot and is fun in general.

In terms of value, and in lieu of games coming out in this generation, I felt BO3 was worth the buy. Far too often games are released prematurely, or simply don't have the mileage to make an 80 dollar price tag worth it (not to mention purchasing online membership and seasons packs to boot). Hell, zombies alone could have been released as a standalone game (Treyarch please don't do this).

Anywho, hopefully some users find this useful from someone who has delved into the game for more than a month.

    **End of Game Review**

I will now criticize the idiotic and blatantly stupid gaming community reviewing games.

This is Call of Duty. You crutch on aim assist, quick scope down sight, and cook grenades around blind corners etc. What do all these absurdly negative reviewers honestly expect here? A non-Call of Duty suspiciously named Call of Duty?

I'm not certain I understand this new wave of Yelp game reviews that feel the need to take up arms over every new game that releases. There was an open beta, did they just throw in their time and money anyway in hopes it would magically make them happy? Did they not play the beta? Are they just angry at themselves for shelling out $59.99 mindlessly the same time every year and so they differ this lack of intelligent purchasing decisions back toward metacritic in the form of angry, unintelligent and ultimately shallow critiques that normally amount to "Treyarch just staph, do you even?".

The state of gamers these days is really pathetic and hard to watch as they somehow try to inspire devs to make better games by simply handing them free money and then complaining on the internet. Maybe stop going for that Nth prestige this year and take a basic economics class, the only thing organizations understand is profit margin, no one cares about some butthurt reviews on a third party review aggregator. Let me be clear for the die hard fan, if you don't like the franchise installment, stop purchasing it.

"But I took it back to Gamestop the day after and got $29.95".

Great, you funded the devs and Gamestop and Metacritic ad traffic in one swift motion, you really showed them...

Really boring game with no innovation at all. I didn't even finish the campaign and multiplayer is unimaginative and stale. I went back to playing Titan Fall 2, which is everything CoD once stood for and a lot more.

I always had like the zombies and still it is a good mode, I hate AW zombies because it changed it a lot, but this zombies has new and old maps whit different histories and new perks and Easter eggs.
If you like playing with friends you can do it with the campaign, zombies and the nightmare mode you will do it great but the multiplayer is lagging all the time, it is almost the same as in AW and is the first shot kill style.
Thank you, this is my opinion.
Hopefully this will be helpful for your choice.

This is one of the worst call of duty ever. I don't understand how the critics rate it 8/10? The franchise is going backward, gone are the days when $1b sales were expected. Now the company probably doesn't even make $100m, thus sales figures are not public anymore. It's sad how the game is going down the drain.

The worst game I've played on PS4 so far. It's awful, don't waste your money. I haven't played a Call of Duty game in a while and this game is way too cheesy. The maps are also tiny and there isn't much at all to this game. It's definitely a game for the simple minded. Waste of time. Zombie's is also the biggest joke ever, it isn't scary whatsoever. I think this may be a game for small children.

For as long as I've been playing Call of Duty since Modern Warfare, the series has had it's ups and downs. For as long as I've been playing Call of Duty since Modern Warfare, the series has had it's ups and downs. Despite Black Ops 1 being my personal favorite in the series, my love for the series quickly died once Black Ops 2 came out in 2012. Since then, I prayed that this game would capture that magic it had. Sadly, it failed for multiple reasons.

    Campaign:

In terms of story and characters, this game would have to be one of the weakest games in the series. The story is boring, there are only a few faces you can choose from to create your character, the graphics just looks and sounds the same and the characters are not so likable or memorable as in the previous games. The dialogue is okay, but it doesn't help grabs the players attention or make the campaign feel fresh and original. What we got is the same game but in a different setting, little changes, and less fun. If you were hoping this would be the game to save the franchise, your sadly mistaken. And although the new Nightmare mode plays a lot like the campaign, the twist is that there are zombies and has you play as a different character from the campaign. So basically your just really playing through the same boring missions all over from the campaign, but with zombies, no new weapons, no pack a punch, and no new features.

    Multiplayer:

The multiplayer is not that great either. The game did really bad at launch due to it's ridiculous glitches, and bad gameplay. The microtransactions is still there since Advanced Warfare to force the player to grind and play the game for hours in order to receive new weapons, camo, and other goodies. The supply drop suck and are hard to get anything special, the gameplay is even worse due to it's broken hit boxes, and some of the weapons either suck or are decent. The maps are okay and they did fix the controls compared to Advanced Warfare, but the game modes are still the same and there's nothing special about this game mode at all. One of the least things I like about it is the addition of specialists. Instead of having to create your own character like you would normally do, you are given instead a couple meh characters to customize. There's also Dead Ops Arcade 2, which did make a fine comeback since 2010, but it's kinda boring and not that rewarding either.

    Zombies:

Zombies mode was a good way to end the separate storyline. Despite that there are only a few maps, some of the maps are actually pretty cool and entertaining as well. The zombies are harder this time, there are a tons of creatures to slay, and more added weapons. This is probably the only good mode in the game because where all the other modes are either repetitive or just bad, this is actually fun if you have enough friends to play along with you and once you get to know everything.

Overall, what we got is the same game every year, but with lack of surprises, little changes, and very little fun. On top of that, this is probably one of the worse story modes or one of the worse games in the series that fails to deliver with a bad ending, bad characters, bad modes, and slightly worse multiplayer

Special weapons are cool, never overpowered or distracting. The large cluttered maps are well designed, but often there will be entire sections of the map where nothing is happening and simply don't work on some game modes, such as Free For All and Gun game and even traditional TDM. There is a lack of small maps. Domination is the MP mode that gets the most tlc treatment from Treyarch. For what might be the most content packed COD game ever made, the quality just isn't there. Unless you plan on spending all your time on Zombies and certain MP modes like Domination, this isn't worth your time.

Black Ops 3 is just missing that magic that made the earlier CODs so good. It feels too similar to Advanced Warfare, the campaign is too short, and even though the specialists are a good idea, Multiplayer is still an extremely boring grind.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am mostly blown away here by the terribly annoying scripted AI you have to deal with in the campaign. Not only do they annoyingly yell at you while you are trying to complete a section of a mission over and over, but they also are horribly scripted to begin with. The whole badly written love scenes between my female character and her love interest made me cringe. That wasn't the only time I cringed as well as the character I played also had terrible lines that made me roll my eyes if not completely want to bash my face into my keyboard.

The campaign story itself was bizarre. It was almost like they decided they wanted to add their own version of Far Cry's mind trip into this game, and man it failed hard! If I have to hear about the crazy frozen forest and how an AI wants me to live there after death one more time... what the hell? The ending made me feel like I wasn't even playing a CoD game at all. In fact, this wasn't a black ops game at all. Black Ops made it's billions by sending us into the past while telling a story in the present moment. It was a unique twist that was exciting and innovative at least.

The last thing I have to complain about is how the Core ability system in the campaign is completely different from the amazingly awesome system developed for the multiplayer version. Why is Bops III two different games in one? I thought I was leveling up in the campaign and that would apply to multiplayer but nope, multiplayer has an entirely different system set up. Maybe I am the only one put off here but I thought it would be cool to play the campaign and then be able to at least start out at a decent level with abilities unlocked for MP. I would have loved if they just gave us the multiplayer abilities and class system for the campaign so we could get used to that.

The difficulty settings are okay though, but the campaign itself is just poorly done. There are also sections of it that literally have endless spawning waves of enemies that make it a tad difficult to complete certain parts of the story at times. But regardless, this could have been pretty awesome if I could have chose to wield a bow, play as a robot, or whatever the hell I wanted and use those special abilities... Just do what every one else does and skip to the zombies and the multiplayer.

Anyway , in most of the COD Franchise it's really fun collecting/using guns of enemy soldiers - you can browse through different attachment by picking up from ground one by one - and keep the one you like the most for the rest of the level .. I used them like this : I didn't like to reload in a firefight - after I emptied my clip - I used to quickly pick up the nearest gun lying around and frag with that - then the next ... like that you can finish large firefight in just a couple of seconds -
anyway in BO3 - you can't pick up enemy weapons -- no, you read it right - YOU CAN"T PICK UP ENEMY WEAPONS WITHOUT UPGRADED AUGMENT(s) (which most of the players won't find easily) !! Why?? Cause , by some **** guns have bio-metric lock so only the owner can use it . Funny thing is that - robots also drop guns, but you can't use it either --- why??? because the Devs didn't want you to..Guns have less significant in this game anyway - sometimes you don't even have to shoot- you do some magic with your hand and people dies!
This is COD : LONELY WARFARE , you play alone most of the time, yes you 'll have 1 helping buddy but he doesn't do much - the one level where you are trapped in a soon_to_be_underwater facility - the "rise of the machines" from dead looks cool - but that's all about it - shooting robots are not fun at all.
Anyway , moving on . I have a medium end pc - amd phenom2 x 6 1090T and gtx 750ti with 8 gb ram. I tried witcher 3 with it - It gave me smooth frames @ high with 768P - the GPU temp was about 70-75deg C - processor usage about 50%. Anyone played witcher 3 knows how beautiful it is and how heavy it's on system.
however, this piece of crap with dated graphics which looks like **** even with everything maxed out keeping my processor 100% overloaded all the time from start to finish!! where gpu temp never crosses 55deg - processor is getting overheated within an hour - processor temp goes to about 80-90 deg !!! No game till date used my processor upto 100% - no even for a fraction of second - not even un-optimized games like assassins creed unity.
But this piece of poo keeping it at 100% loaded all the time!! No , PC didn't shutdown cause of overheat, but Im taking a break after about 45-60 mins just to be cautious.
Voice acting is really good! cinematic moments fells real - ( spoiler ahead) In the point when giant robots tears apart the protagonists limbs feels chilling and you'll actually feel bad for him/her ( yes you can play as either a female or male).
The whole game feels like a movie. An interactive movie .
    So , In short : Is it as groundbreaking as COD:UO or MW4 ? - no .
Is the gunplay good ? - not at all!! ( though the wall-running and shooting people in the head while wall_running feels good ) .
But you'll play it anyway - cause we all like to watch a movie - right?

Everything is so fast in this game, the movement, the sliding, the jumping the wall running. If I would have known there everyone will be flying around all the time I would not have bought this game, Kill streaks are useless because you wont reach the high tear ones and you know why, someone WILL kill you, be it because u cannot camp anymore, shot from back or some other ways. I am a bit older gamer and if your like me, you will have trouble competing, because I dont have the reaction speed like all the 16 year olds. And being a good aim means nothing in BO3 Because people will just jump around and kill you. I still get to the top 3 player every now and then but it does not feel fair, feels like I got lucky with a package drop or something.

I played zombies for a bit and I have to say that game is way more fun but I cannot give good score becouse of zombies mode alone. There are lots of amazing improvements in zombies but again, even the pace in zombies mode is way faster it seems.

Campaign is OMG there are NO words how not interesting it is. You all remember playing Modern warfare 1/2 and BO1. Campaign there was addictive and easy to follow, and BO3 is like you do not care what happened in that story, you dont care whats gonna happen there.

I will rate this game a fair 4, too much speed in the WHOLE game, too little shots needed to kill and be killed. Campaign is not even worth completing(not even once) I say, wait until this drops to 20$ and then buy it!

Shouldn't really be called Black Ops. It has very little to do with previous Black Ops games. The A.I is worse than normal. I think the reason for this is because in the past the enemies have been human enemies, so they don't want to get hit, so they take cover etc. But with the this the enemies are robots, so they don't fear your bullets. So they aren't scary or anything at all. After so many future warfare settings, they have clearly totally run out of ideas. This adds nothing new at all and is just so run of the mill cliche futuristic warfare. You've seen and done it a million times over now. The settings aren't even anything special. It doesn't really matter what part of the world you are in it is all samey. Nothing stands out at all. Bland, bland, bland. The story is just plain dull too. As a result, you don't care about the characters at all, they are just empty vessels. Multiplayer is more of the same. If you already own a COD game, you pretty much already have the game. It is the same copy and paste job that has gone on for years. I never did like the futuristic setting. It isn't something i can recognize or relate to. With old WW2 and Modern Warfare settings, i can recognize and relate to them as they were real. WW2 really happened, Modern Warfare was based on Iraq and Afghanistan, which are still ongoing. You can recognize and relate to them. This made them cool and interesting. We need to go back to WW2 or Modern Warfare and leave futuristic warfare behind. Expand

Multiplayer maps are as chaotic as ever with a complete lack of flow, keeping true to the clustered messes of recent years. Its better than AW in this regard, but dont expect much. Target identification is also very poor. The next generation and its lighting effects and ability to throw random pieces of garbage every 6 inches on the ground makes players often blend into environments, the models don't pop.

As for the rest of the package, it is loaded with content. A lot of it won't matter to much of the audience, but Treyarch has definitely given players a lot of things to do if they desire.

Started playing MP with MWarfare. My opinion is these games have sort of become something else over the years. It is almost as if they should not carry the same name. If you played COD 3 and then played BLOPS3 and were told it was the same title you would be shocked just because the whole vibe and feel has changed so much. That said...
I am enjoying the MP experience this go around. It does not feel like Blops1 or 2 but it is a better feel than AW that is for sure. I think some of the maps are really great and some are pretty awful. I dislike how the maps have become this "every room must have 6 entrances" thing so nobody can camp. I personally don't camp because I think it's boring. But you should be able to take a breather in a space and form a new plan w/o 4 people shooting you in the back. That is how real world spaces are made. 1 maybe 2 entrances and some available cover. I think that aspect of COD has been lost. I don't care much for the suits and jumping abilities so I don't really use it often but that's just my style. I am in the camp that would like to see some return to reality with this title. Be it with a WW2 era or normal modern era. I think the future thing has definitely run its course, especially in the map design. Boxy, square shapes and futurist buildings that have no real vibe to them. I much prefer a war torn village or a mansion full of toys to shoot. I would like this game to slow down a lot too. It's gotten a bit out of hand, like you just float as you walk instead of feeling like you actually take steps. For me it is a solid 7. Definitely worth the buy with all of the content and I am enjoying the MP with some of the maps being very strong.

Underneath the glamour, it feels like just another Call of Duty game - to the delight of existing fans, but the chagrin of players seeking new turf.

Both the single player and online modes are fun but don’t expect to be blown away. Despite a great story and a couple of very enjoyable missions the campaign as a whole is a tad boring. [13/2015, p.50]

What we have here is the best Call of Duty single player experience to date. The multiplayer is solid too, though the much-talked re-design has resulted a multiplayer experience that really doesn’t differ all that much from the previous ones. [Nov 2015]
