    Bulletstorms 6 hour campaign is one of the best paced first person shooter campaigns I’ve ever played through…
    Here you play as Grayson Hunt who goes rogue after learning he’s been killing innocent people…
    And throughout the journey you’re accompanied by different characters, but primarily your accompanied by Ishi, who is now half ai half human which leads to interesting scenarios in the story…
    You’re only mission is to get off of the planet.. And doing so the only way you know how...
    With guns…
    This campaign is a blast and the dialog and storytelling is lighthearted comedic relief in the style of borderlands…
    you have a leash that you can use to pull enemies into you or into spikes in the environment, you can kick them away and shoot them as they go slow mo in the air…
    And killing enemies in all of these different ways gives you more skill points which are spent on both upgrading your weapons you unlock throughout the campaign as well as for buying ammo itself…
    Enemies do drop ammo and there are occasional ammo crates.. but you’ll most likely be refilling your gun with bought ammo…
    And you do run out fairly fast, thankfully you are able to carry 3 weapons at once and the game is very generous with its skill points, so you never feel desperate…
    Each weapon also has a charged attack just in case you do run out of ammo and don’t want to switch to a new weapon right away or of course use them on the mini boss enemies you run into…
    But the delivery of this campaign is brilliant…
    Its fast paced, varied, and never overwhelms you...
    it isn’t just enemies around every corner...
    it gives you downtime of crawling through tights spaces or climbing across gaps…
    of listening to the banter between you and the characters you meet..
    This spacing allows enemy encounters to be fun instead of a nuisance…
    My only complaint with this game at all is the fact that your squad is practically useless..
    There’s an annoying enemy for example that you can only do damage by shooting its back… and he of course has a magnet in him that follows you, never pays attention to your squad members… and they’ll just stare at him instead of shoot his back..
    It’s frustrating and does hurt the flow of the gameplay a bit…
    And enemies feel a little too bullet spongy...
    I hated using the assault rifle here even though in shooters that’s my favorite weapon type…
    Enemies take like 2 full clips to kill.. which had me ignoring that weapon for most of the game and just sticking to heavy damage weapons like the shotgun…
    And the final annoyance.. The sniper rifle... you have to steer the bullet in air... no thanks.
    After you complete the campaign you can play again with all guns unlocked and equipped from the start so you aren’t stuck with just 3, and there’s also an echo mode where you can chase high scores and a multiplayer mode…
    Which is dead… during launch week.. So yeah… good luck.
    This is basically a survive as long as you can with a group of up to 4 players. Killing waves of enemies as they come at you...
    And when I say the mode is dead... I literally couldn’t find anyone… so I played by myself…
    Thankfully Bulleststorm is worth picking up on its own for its campaign...
    On sale though…

    I love bulletstorm game i own ps3 forgotten bout that console version since other new title pop up on ps3 system then i re-bought ps4 version i got to say i loved it but whole Duke nukem to add him to it it was good for a laugh

    game is awesome but felt it short game i turn on my ps4 started playing by the time 4pm i was near the end of the game

    its good game everything is brighter gun

    really fun action,with a pretty average story but still so fun to make chaos,that you don't care about the story
    it was a bit short ,but it was worth it,and the skill point system is awesome
    The wave mode is dead do
    But still awesome!!!!

    Bulletstorm is a great game ! This is a fast paced linear shooting game. The gameplay is fantastic and I like the feeling of the different guns. I found the graphics really nice and they created a unique world. The art style can be compared to the Borderlands series. I think this game is not for everybody but we need to acknowledge that the vulgar language can be turned off for those whoBulletstorm is a great game ! This is a fast paced linear shooting game.     if you don't expect much, it's a very nice surprise. stupid macho shooter with a quick pace that makes you forget how stupid it is.

    4 point for story and funny atmosphere, all else is done poorly

    Plot is fine though shallow, funny atmosphere and massive enemies killing .. are the only things done right. This game in its full clip edition is not optimized for PS 4 Pro ? Lagging during scenes, time runs during slow mo scenes normally and enemies can dodge a bullet flying over 1000 km/h .. duh.     There is problem with textures in every map and you can miss to hit the enemies to the head even if they are standing in front of you and you went full clip on them. Physics is done very poorly, during walking you can get stuck on some small object and loose life in few seconds.

    Levels are done very simply and there are too many place you can get stuck just because you cannot target the last guy in the area ... though went through and have to say the only two things that kept me going was that I have spent so many time so far on the campaign and the pseudo funny story. Sadly if this game was all round done better might have given it 8+ish ?
    But in this state it is not worth those 20 bucks. And even that its in PS+ for free not worth the while for most people. Not even closing to the DUKE NUKEM 3D ... People cant fly anymore    … Expand

It's multiplayer may be an acquired taste, but the Single Players is one of the best paced campaigns of all time. The skill-point score system is just as addicting as it ever was and the dialog is just as LOL as it was back in 2011. It might be a little short (about 6 hours long) and the drama is a bitStill one of the most underrated, unique, and just plain fun shooters I've ever played. The reason it is one of the best is not due to its story (which is mediocre in terms of writing, character dev, and such) but of its gameplay; its concept of "kill with skill" added a masochistic vibe for playersBulletstorm is one of the best underrated shooters of all time, namely because it garnered much controversy and poor marketing that turned it into a commercial failure in 2011. The reason it is one of the best is not due to its story (which is mediocre in terms of writing, character dev, and such) but of its gameplay; its concept of "kill with skill" added a masochistic vibe for players to relish in the destruction and be all about having a good time. Considering you can get drunk, shoot a guy in the nuts, and kick off his face in that order is a statement that says clearly "we are fun first, everything else follows and can wait". It's stupid, over the top, B-action movie setup is a parody to many of the shooters that have flooded the market in the past decade, but delivers on gameplay that gives an argument for how important it really is in gaming.

    The overall package of Bulletstorm's remaster is great for newcomers, but poor for vets and fans. I will explain; because of how under the radar BS was in the gaming media, the remaster is a perfect way to give new players an experience that vets and fans have loved for over half a decade. The campaign is only 5-7 hours long (with mediocre story, script and dialogue), but the pacing of enemies, weapon accumulation and combat is just fantastic cathartic fun that will have you smashing apart everything and anything that has a gun or claw and/or isn't on your side. The echoes will challenge newbies for being more stylish with kills and get high scores that go to online leaderboards, and with the new ultimate echoes there is a slight challenge further implemented if you like echoes. As for Anarchy mode, newbies will most likely chew on it and spit it out after the first few matches go, but maybe if the player base gets big enough, maybe some life can be injected in so the experiences are bit better, if only marginally. Duke Nukem also stars in the game (with hilarious dialogue with the original VA of Duke as the him) but might see this as only a "uncut" model that is thrown in for laughs and not much else. For $50-60, this is pretty much a no-brainer if you want a good time.

    Now for fans (the 1% if you will), you will be disgusted by the price and generally how much it lacks. The game runs at a smoother framerate, but in intense moments when so much is happening on screen, my game would dip to the 30s for a few seconds (which was the cap in the original versions all the time). The graphics are improved, but I can't help to feel that they were already great in the original version and due to the technological leap the graphics just don't wow the second time round. Anarchy was a mediocre yawn in the original and unless you have a team of friends that are equally adept in learning the different combos and skills, you will likely leave it in a matter of matches. Echoes is back and has ultimate echoes, but since most of the fans have already done those so many times, it just feels like retreading in the tedious of ways. The campaign was never the strong arm of the game's greatness, but listening to the dirty jokes and reliving the teenage years that most were when it first came out, the teen now adults won't help but cringe a bit and feel is TOO MUCH to bear (even if you turn the gore and language off) to listen through. Duke's presence is novel and you cant help feeling PWF put it in to either rub salt in the wound of the last Duke Nukem game or it was a NEW idea created that wasn't expanded upon that made the overall addition feel like a facade as you play it. Really, $50-60 dollars is too steep a price for older fans and vets to bother with unless you are diehard to the game since release.

    Bulletstorm Full Clip Edition is a great package that comes with all the DLC and extra polish that will determine its possible sequel should enough money is made from this endeavor...only if you are NEW TO THE GAME. As a fan of the series and heralding as one of the best shooters for its fantastic gameplay and no non sense attitude, it was EXTREMELY HARD TO BUY IT when buying the original on the Xbox 360 years ago for 3 bucks was dirt cheap and having to give 20x that for a reskin. It's a tough call to make and feel Gearbox is greedy for it, but should a sale come and prices it at half, then YOU SHOULD PLAY IT ASAP. It's a stupidly brilliant game that embraces dumb ideas and blends them into a cascade of catastrophic delights that is all in the name of good bloody fun and nothing more.    … Expand

    At first, the game seemed rather not bad, even interesting, but the more I played, the more tedious and monotonous the game became. In the game, boring characters, weak plot.
    The ending is too tight, I forced myself through the power to finish it, and, frankly, in vain. I do not recommend

    Act 6 chapter 3 has a game-breaking bug. At the end of the level, when you're supposed to find the bomb, Serrano will freeze in place and the level won't progress. I restarted the checkpoint, I cleared the cache, tried 5 times worth no luck. I wasted six hours on this and can't beat it due to a bug. Don't pay this unless you're perfectly happy having your time wasted.

    The gun-play was good, and there were some moments where I actually had some fun. But, the game had a terrible story, annoying characters, and boring locations with no branching paths. The game does sound and look great, but it wasn't enough to save this mess.

    Do you go back to the game you have fun memories from and realise that it's kind of a Boeing and really mean spirit game. Because while playing this game I was bored and I hated the characters from the bottom of my body.     I was having fun playing this game on numeric version until a crash occurred, my game save was corrupted and I have been told to restart the game from the beginning. This is unacceptable, I lost hours. Plus, when focusing, the camera is really too slow to play without autoaim, it is almost unplayable. I will not restart the game until a fix is released (Meaning I'll never replay this game).

    Very intense and fun, fast-paced shooter that has its flaws (like being short-ish for example) but a fair amount of strenghts too (the skillshot system is great). I would not recommend to play or puchase this over Call of Juarez Gunslinger though, as being a lover of said game I felt this to be a similar but less good of a game.

    Great gunplay with a nice variety of weapons. Decent plot. Great world-building. Remastered version includes the ability to play as Duke Nukem! There is a DLC for it as well and it makes it amazing. New Game + feature. Runs very smooth, even with chaotic action going on. Cons: Short. It ends on a cliffhanger. Ammo can be scarce for a game called ‘Bulletstorm’    Pros:

    Bulletstorm is a fun, yet short adventure. While it’s not exactly COD short, you can finish it in about 6-7 hours. More if you play on higher difficulties. The addition of the remaster to allow you to play as Duke Nukem is such a novel idea. It does seem a tad bit forced since it was something, they threw in for the remaster and as such, some of the lines can feel a tad bit out of place but it mostly works. It’s just hilarious to see him in cutscenes when he doesn’t belong at all but at the same time, he’s a good fit for the nonsense but entertaining story.

    The world-building is pretty good and it’d be nice to see the game expanded on. The game does end on a cliffhanger but it’s hard to know if it’ll ever happen. Still, while not the best plot for an FPS, it was engaging and entertaining.

    All and all, it’s a fun game. Frantic, fun action but with a short campaign. There is a New Game + which lets you keep your weapons though. I could see this game being replayed down the line. You can easily beat it in a weekend.

    If it's on sale, I'd recommend a purchase. Otherwise, a decent rental idea for a weekend.    … Expand

    This game is alright fun little shooter but feels like it could of been more and the ending blows. Also this version doesn't really provide anything of significance that the original doesn't.

    Well, in less than 30 minutes of gameplay you'll understand how it works in general. Bulletstorm in my perception doesn't have a great story, its protagonist is what draws the most attention (for me), its gameplay is VERY fun with several possibilities to score points, but the story is not a strong point, I recommend it for fun but not by story or graphic.

    I did not think I would have a great time with this game but it was a lot of fun for me. The game moves at a fast pace most of the time which was refreshing for me.

    The game is solid,funny and full of gore..what can I say?It was an honor to play that no one has played upon his relaese.An FPS well defined and funny to replay (same for the newest version of the game)However in this version the pros are the 60 FPS and the full functioning of the coop missions

    Bulletstorm has been lavished with a fine new coat of 4K paint. Its linear, skill-based shooting is worth revisiting, too, even if new content is thin. [June 2017, p70]

    Bulletstorm is a nice little 8-hour time-sink where the player has to never think and can just go about blowing people to bits. Sure, it hasn’t aged well but the combat side works fine and there’s a bit of replayability if one wants to attempt to get every Skillshot, or try to see how far you can get with a couple of friends in the wave-based multiplayer mode. However, it is certainly a shame to see such little effort put into this new release even though it is perfectly OK. I mean, as long as you can get past the cringe-worthy dialog of having the only female character telling you she will ‘kill your dick’ and the throwaway plot, you might just find a good chunk of fun in there. It’s right next to the drill launcher.
