-
Aug 31, 2015It’s challenging, interesting, funny and most importantly true to the brand.
-
Aug 31, 2015Broken Sword is back. The series created by Charles Cecil recovers its essence and provides humor, mystery and adventure. A game made for fans and a tribute to the entire franchise.
-
Aug 31, 2015Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse is a nice way to look back into the past, where we had our minds as weapons, and not our strength.
-
Sep 18, 2015Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse is an intriguing proposal for the fans of the adventure genre. The price is right, and the game itself is pretty good.
-
Sep 13, 2015It’s definitely a shame the animation is so awkward and stiff; it pales in comparison to the visual splendor of the hand-drawn backgrounds, and it’s nowhere near as impressive as the graphics of The Shadow of the Templars were in 1996. Still, it’d be an even bigger shame if that put anyone off from experiencing this classically-inspired adventure.
-
Sep 22, 2015Genre fans will of course be happy of this revival, but the writing isn't as good as we hoped.
-
Sep 4, 2015Given also the shortage of similar titles on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Broken Sword 5 – The Serpent’s Curse is a decent graphical adventure for beginners and long-time supporters.
-
Sep 1, 2015One of the best entries in the Broken Sword series despite a too linear nature and a slightly disappointing ending.
-
Aug 31, 2015Part mystery, part comedy, this is a classy point-and-click with dazzling art, charming characters, and crackling dialogue. Although slightly overlong and occasionally slow, it feel surprisingly fresh.
-
Aug 31, 2015Puzzles and their bizarre solutions are just the right amount of complicated and satisfying to beat. While not bringing anything new to the genre, Broken Sword 5 is a fun point and click adventure -for both long-time fans and newcomers- with a compelling and mysterious religious conspiracy plot.
-
Aug 31, 2015Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse is an entertaining title with a few disappointing aspects, including linear puzzles and awkward animations, which makes for a lukewarm revival.
-
Sep 4, 2015Pure fan service in every sense, which ensures an enjoyably nostalgic adventure but also means a number of flaws that wouldn’t be tolerated in other circumstances.
