    I haven't experienced this much enjoyment in a local co-op game since the days of Crash Team Racing on the PS1. The parody of American imperialism in this game is exceptionally well-done. It's challenging to find any character unlikable. The diverse Bros add a level of variety and unpredictability to the gameplay.     I had played this game a lot with friends before i got a playstation and i really liked the game. Then me, my sister and brother got a playstation and i got the game and absoluteley fell in love with it. I could spend many hours playing this game and complete it over and over and it never really got repetitive.     Für jeden Fan von Actionfilmen der 80er und 90er Jahre ein absolutes Muss-Spiel, alleine durch die Charaktere. Zusätzlich macht es auch Spaß, alleine oder in Co-Op.

    Отличная игра для прохождения с друзьями! Хз почему такой низкий рейтинг, персонажи и скиллы интересные, карта и разрушаемость тоже, боссы интересные. Видов врагов маловато, но все же их тоже много. Начали надоедать только на втором прохождение. Всем рекомендую, если есть с кем поиграть.Отличная игра для прохождения с друзьями!     Прошёл с друзьями трижды, в том числе и на хардкоре. Играть весело, много знакомых персонажей, разнообразные боссы. Но играть в неё одному - портить впечатление. Игра предназначена для совместного прохождения.

    Broforce is a simple 5-10 hour indie game, with intense action awesome bosses amazing level design and fantastic characters choices! The game is a 2D shooter where you die in one hit, that might sound difficult and it is, but it’s beatable but sometimes it can get very hard. The game is very intense and action heavy, and the levels show, with great enemy’s to battle and amazing ways toBroforce is a simple 5-10 hour indie game, with intense action awesome bosses amazing level design and fantastic characters choices! The game is a 2D shooter where you die in one hit, that might sound difficult and it is, but it’s beatable but sometimes it can get very hard. The game is very intense and action heavy, and the levels show, with great enemy’s to battle and amazing ways to kill and destroy your enemy. All the available to play characters are amazing inclusions to this game, they all almost feel different to each other. The music is just PERFECT, and somehow the bosses are even implemented very damn well. The couch multiplayer and online are awesome and they work really good. Sadly one issue with the game is that you can get lost sometimes and die because how crazy the game could get, just an issue I wanna bring up but the game is still a blast! These are all named after pop culture icons with a "Bro" inserted in their names (RamBro, Brobocop, Bro Dredd, Double Bro Seven, etc.), and each comes with unique weapons and special abilities. When you die and lose a life, your    Broforce is a 2D, side-scrolling, shoot-em-up platformer with 8-bit retro graphics.

    What makes this game stand out is the use of multiple characters (aka Bros). When you die and lose a life, your avatar is randomly changed into another, forcing you to change your tactics. Some heroes have pistols and rifles, others have to toss grenades and knives, and others are melee fighters. The campaign's story is a parody of american macho movies as well as american imperialism, and gets as silly as you can imagine.

    Broforce originally launched on PS4 with a myriad of technical issues (bad frame rate and unresponsive controls, among others). But since then the game's developers have patched it. Install size has been greatly decreased, frame rate has been improved (although they have turned v-sync off and there is constant screen-tearing, with visible wobbling), and they have added multiplayer support.

    Broforce is a nice little game, perfect for a couple of funny playthroughs, but certainly it's far from being an all time classic shoot-em-up such as Contra. On PS4 the game has been patched and expanded, but it's still a sub-par experience.    … Expand

    Platforming Adventure Was it fun? I got together with friends 4 friends and we played online for a few hours and it was a fun experience. Its a co-op, run and gun, platformer and its well done.     There are platformers that are similar but I’ve never played anything quite like this.

    Favorite Character?

    All the characters are based on movies and TV shows and they’re all named very similarly but they all have “Bro” in the name. My favorite character to use was Mr. Anderbro. Neo from from the movie series The Matrix. I called him “Punchy” because you could just punch your way to victory.

    Would you play it again?

    Absolutely, if my friends are online and looking for some laughs, I would play this game again.

    Any Complaints?

    Internet lag issues, when there were 4 of us in the party. The game had a tough time keeping up. Of course we were all spamming the “shoot” buttom so we were destroying the stages as went which wasn’t helping the frame rate issue.    … Expand

    Broforce is a fun game with funny dialogue, fun game-play, and a great style. But, the game can get a bit repetitive and the final missions dragged on a bit too long. It also doesn't help that the PS4 version has some technical issues.

    Jugabilidad: Me sorprendio mucho, los escenarios destructibles, los boss muy buenos, intentaron hacer un metal slug con poco exito.

    Lo negativo del titulo, demasiado corto, me quede con ganas de mas, lastimosamente este juego tiene DLC de pago.
    Pero merece la prueba por menos de $5.00

    A fun co op side scroller shooter. Really nails the 80's action movie theme. Love unlocking new bros. Game structure becomes very repetitive and you need to start over quite a bit since it is so easy to die. Makes the game drag out and the game can become a chore and not fun; so game is good to play in small sessions.

    Very fun game with a lot of irony and silliness. Swapping old 80/90's heroes with their unique abilities is a very nice mechanics. It's satisfying blowing up all the levels, but sometimes the framerate drop to 15 fps...

    If you're a fan of old school action movies with Schwarzenegger & Stallone you would love this game. It has iconic characters who are easily recognizable (like Brominator or Rambro). It also has an over the top plot and missions structure. I would say that it's too tough for 2 players. But when we played it in a group of 3-4 people - it was perfect.

    Broforce is a fun, chaotic and challenging homage to 80s classics. The game is probably best played in short bursts, as its crazy and relentless gameplay can quickly become grating.

    This is a true nod to all the action movie fans out there! Despite the frustratingly difficult missions some, I had some hilarious moments with this.    Broforce is a puzzler/action hybrid that will calm your craving of over-the-top explosions and cheesy action movie references. It was a fun, yet frustrating experience playing this, with the frustration being on the harder levels.

    I put it this way, if you like to shoot a s($) load of bullets, knives rockets and kill lots of bad guys, aliens, demons and zombies, this is for you. This game is a flurry of hyper fast paced 8 bit violence mixed with lots of humor & funny moments along action movie cliches and lots of famous kick ass characters.
    This game is not abut the stoy, its    BroForce Assemble!!!!!!!!!!
    I put it this way, if you like to shoot a s($) load of bullets, knives rockets and kill lots of bad guys, aliens, demons and zombies, this is for you.     This game is not abut the stoy, its simply about fun! its amazing to witness the first time a character is discovered and join the BroForce, plus each one of them have different attacks and movement as "Supers" that are damn glorious to execute. An interesting twist is that you do not select the character you play with as they generate randomly as log as you have lifes on the counter.

    Difficulty can be a challenge sometimes which add a little spice to the mix, but in shot, this is a good casual game to enjoy if you only have a few minutes to play or if you just want good old arcade fashion fun with no inventories, complicated quests or narrative.... you only need to do one thing, and yes you guess right.... save the world from evil XD    … Expand

    There are tons of great (and a few not so great lol) characters to Play as. The catch is - its randomized, you cant Chose as who you Play, which makes for some cool "im the badass" and some rather tedios "oh no not HIM" moments.Trying to Play this game serious is almost impossible - theres just so much going on, stupid jokes/references a plenty, along with explosions and particle Overflow. Its mostly impossible to Keep track of whats really going on because all just blows up and explodes, and yet its so much fun to just go that Little more further.
    For an arcade shooter game its pretty lenghty as well, and although the Level desing is a mixed bag of great to unbalanced theres enough variety to Keep things entertaining the further you go.
    Theres no real replayability once you finished it, but teaming up with your Bros on the same Couch and Screen makes for an outstanding Party experience where your neighbors will curse you for all the swearing and screaming lol
    For single Players this is almost a 5 out of 10, but the Overall fun along with some friends is just too overwhelmingly good - if its on Sale and you have some Friends to Play with - its totally worth a buy    … Expand

    Indie INCREIBLE, muy buen titulo, lo obtuve gratis por mi suscripcion mensual, y lo disfrute al maximo, jugando con los heroes de peliculas clasicas, muy bueno.
    El enemigo final aterrador xD un buen juego, que me recuerda aquellos titulos de 8 bits, [Lo se he exagerado un poco], muy grato, me lo he jugado todo, desbloqueando a la mayoria de personajes, si no es todo.
    Mi nota es por que    Indie INCREIBLE, muy buen titulo, lo obtuve gratis por mi suscripcion mensual, y lo disfrute al maximo, jugando con los heroes de peliculas clasicas, muy bueno.

    Really fun game if you are playing it co-op. Great experience running through the levels, and there is a lot of funny characters that you can play as, and there is a lot of levels enough for a few hours, however the game can be buggy, but the overall it's an great experience

    I played this game thanks to the PS+ subscription but I'll review it like if i bought it as is no longer available for free. Also this review is about the PS4 version (as stated on the page) it's important as some issues are "exclusive" to this version.

    So let's talk about those right away, technically the game is a mess, at first it's not that annoying but the further you go the more bugs and (huge) framerate drops you'll encounter. Which is a clear proof of a game released too soon (part debugged, part not), what is even more outrageous is that it appears there will never have a patch to correct those issues. About the graphics we have a nice example of pixel art, sure it's not that impressive but it has charm and is artistically clever for a game that is a parody of the 80's action movies. Same goes for the sound design (I love the voice of the "narrator" it's so cheesy I laugh every time ).

    Concerning the gameplay it's a 2D shoot'em up very frenetic, all the environment is totally destructible and the levels always offer a nice verticality. On the downside you can only shoot horizontally, when you have two stick, might as well take advantage of it. But the true golden idea of the game was to offer a lot of character (more or less 20) inspired by charismatic characters from action movies all with their own equipment and special abilities, if you know the movies it's impossible to not feel anything the first time you unlock a character. There's a nice difficulty curb, boss fights are challenging just enough to still be entertaining, in other word the game is very fun to play. Even more with friends.

    The story is pretty shallow, like the movies that inspired the game, but those one-line report will always make you smile. If you want to finish the game it will last around 4-5 hours which is a fair amount considering its price tag.

    In conclusion Broforce is a really fun game, specially if you're a fan of the 80's, but the gameplay could be more refined. But most of all the PS4 version is a failure, sometimes it's painful to play and therefore, if you're interested in an old-school coop shooter, I'll advise you to buy the PC version.    … Expand

    I played a lot of Broforce on PC and it is an awesome game! Definitely 9/10 but this PS4 port is soo underwhelming, to the point of frustration. Slow load times, multiplayer is quirky and does not work most of a time. Glad I got it within PSPlus "free" games.

    Had this game run correctly I’d have been awarding it a minimum of 8 out of 10 but, with this PS4 version at least, there are far too many bugs and glitches. At first these were usually fairly minor, such as the fact that the game would often freeze for a second or two at the start of a level, but they continued to get worse as the game went on to the point that by about 60% completion my friend and I found it almost impossible to play the game together online. I did carry on and complete the game in single player offline mode, and it ran OK despite the odd bit of lag here and there, but it wasn’t half as fun as it would have been had I been able to continue playing co-op.    … Expand

    Ganz tolles Spiel. Dachte mir zuerst auch - wieder billiges Spiel. Aber man muss diesem unbedingt eine Chance geben!!! Jetzt ist es eines meiner Lieblingspiele.
    Finde dass die Pixel Grafik super passt. Die Level sind kurz und knackig. Zum Schluss hin muss man sogar taktisch vorgehen. Genial ist auch, dass man sehr gut zu zweit spielen kann - der Screen wird geshared.

    This is incredibly fun. More-so on the first playthrough and especially if you don't know the Bros in advance (they do this cool intro sequence whenever you spawn as Bro you haven't used before). Better to play with your real friends but you can find some cool people online occasionally.

    At first glance Broforce may look like a basic side-scroller built on a one-note joke, but there's a lot more depth to the game than that, both in terms of gameplay and humor.
