Building custom mechas is an acquired taste, but very appealing if you're into that sort of thing. The problem is that the PS4 simply chokes on this game. I am playing on a PS4 pro and the jarring framerate issues are unacceptable in a racing game that requires quick reactions. I would rate this game as a 7 if the graphics or resolution could be downscaled. It would by uglier, but at least the console could run that game. I'm not being snobby about framerate and being unreasonably salty that it drops to say 30 frames per second. I'm not a PC gamer so I'm not the type to complain about that. What I'm saying is that you'll be taking a turn, and the game will drop to a jarring 5 frames or less per second and you simply cant react to what's going on because you can't perceive it.
I do not have a PS5, but perhaps the game runs fine on that. This is a review for the PS4 version, however, which is unplayable.
