In this heart-pounding sequel to the critically-acclaimed Project Ice Bowling Story 1 Mark Edition, Mark finally finds the courage within himself and takes the next step in manhood by asking out his love interest Jane, who is the protagonist of Project Ice Bowling Story 1 Jane Edition, Project Ice Bowling Story 2 Jane Edition, and Project Ice Bowling Story 3 Jane Edition. The player is thrust into your typical Japanese school bowling alley, but the Christian developing company Breakthrough Gaming has stayed true to their namesake by coming up with a breakthrough in the traditional bowling-themed visual novel formula that really inspires the player to bowl better. On to the story, we get further insight into Mark’s home life, which is clearly a volatile one as evidenced by Mark’s father claiming to not much about his wife despite their being married for a long time. This brings some theories into question. Perhaps Mark was a mistake that forced the two to marry. This would explain Mark’s natural desire “kiss and touch” Jane, proving his need for love, something that his home life can not provide. Moving on to the gameplay, it has polished vastly compared to the first, and the positive changes are easily noticed and warmly welcomed by a dedicated fan of the series. Finally, the graphics. This game takes an inspiring approach to call back to a simpler time for graphics, such as Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Switch. Personally, as a veteran gamer, I feel nothing but pure joy seeing such a simplistic yet artistic and detailed approach at visuals, and I harken back to gaming’s glory days, times of Wario Land 4, Flappy Bird, and Pokémon Emerald. How could I forget? The soundtrack is phenomenal. Action packed scenes are accompanied with heavy bass and high tempos, while reminiscent and tense scenes can even be silent, really placing the player in the situation with Mark. Truly emotional. You HAVE to play this game.… Expand
