Borderlands 2 VR is most certainly a highlight of this year’s VR releases and one of the best titles yet to hit PlayStation VR. Its still Borderlands 2, sure, but you’ve never played Borderlands 2 like this before.

In the end, the parts that work well, even the driving mechanic allows for a first-person view, all add to a very engaging VR experience. Getting to explore Pandora and interact with all the various characters and creatures in scale is a helluva lot of fun. Hopefully, the rumors of forthcoming DLC and Aim support will materialize down the road. In the meantime, it’s time to lock, load, loot, and explore Pandora!

Borderlands 2 was always a phenomenal game, but having the option to play through the entire VR game with plenty of customisation to help with motion sickness helps out a lot.

As a sum of its parts, Borderlands 2 VR is a good and fun game even though it shows its age in the level design. Its VR implementation is impressive but not perfect. The lack of DLC content, co-op or AIM support may turn off players, especially given the game's high price point, but it's truly a solid and long VR experience that will keep you entertained for at least 30 hours. If you cannot wait for Borderlands 3 or have never played Borderlands 2, Borderlands 2 VR is perhaps the best excuse in a while to immerse yourself and return to vault-hunting on Pandora.

Like Skyrim's VR port, Borderlands 2 VR feels like a curio. It's a fun way to revisit a modern classic, but isn't the best way to actually play the game. As a VR title, it's excellent, but I'd argue if you're looking to get caught up before Borderlands 3, you'll find it more comfortable to do so in the Handsome Collection.

Borderlands 2 VR takes a beloved classic game and gives it new life in VR and does so in a way that doesn't feel gratuitous. With a level of user controls that should be standard for all VR games, Gearbox has taken great care to provide a unique experience for those prone to motion sickness as well as seasoned VR users. Despite lacking Aim controller support, DLC content, and co-op, Borderlands 2 VR is one of the most enjoyable shooters on the PSVR.

Borderlands 2 VR is what we loved in the original game plus the VR gameplay with the hands recognition. It is one of the longer games playable in VR and the only major default is that you cannot play it in co-op.

The exceptionally witty writing that regularly knocks on the fourth wall is a bonus that’s somehow brought to life by feeling as though you’re actually there on Pandora with its cast of mock-savage weirdos. If you’re a PlayStation VR owner and enjoy first person shooters you may be seeing less of your family than planned this Christmas.

Borderlands 2 holds up pretty well, and in VR it feels like almost a brand new experience. The gunplay changes quite a lot, and being in Pandora is really, really cool.

Borderlands 2 VR is a game that is nearly perfectly translated into virtual reality. It contains everything you want from your Borderlands 2 experience, plus a bit more to make you feel like you’re a part of the game. Gearbox and 2K didn’t simply offer up a small piece of the pie, they offered up the whole pie. Just remember, too much of a good thing can make you sick.

A gigantic and amusing game, whose adrenaline and multifaceted gameplay unexpectedly marries well with the rules of VR.

Borderlands 2 VR is a good game in VR, which increases a lot the immersive potential of the game. On the other hand, this version is sold without any of the previous DLCs and does not support multiplayer. A shame for a game that's a must on coop.

The complete Borderlands 2 experience arrives on PSVR, which means it is a huge FPS with lots of RPG elements and an impressive weapon collection. Sadly, the adaptation is rough and sometimes it feels uncomfortable.

Despite it's a 6 year old game, it have a beautiful visual style and high resolution on fat console. Move support is not perfect. In combat it's too hard to move, evade, strafe, turn, shoot, reload at same time. No Aim support, but developers promise add it with patches. No DLC, this disappointing, but maybe them will be added later. Full Review »
