Jul 24, 2018If Blacksea Odyssey worked the way it should, its deadly monsters with complex attack patterns and abilities would pose a significant, enjoyable challenge. Unfortunately, the current level of challenge comes from severe camera issues, poor design and too many bugs. Stick a harpoon in it and toss the corpse out into the void of space.

Jul 19, 2018Blacksea Odyssey suffers from a poorly implemented rogue-lite structure. Putting aside the duff controls, the main hindrance to your enjoyment will be having to suffer through levelling up the player character in a near endless slog until the game finally becomes fun.

Jul 15, 2018Blacksea Odyssey is a rather challenging game for me to score because it's filled with both wonderful highs and demoralizing lows. Despite my criticisms, I can still safely say that my overall experience with it was mostly positive.
