All games in the package look noticeably better than the last gen console versions. Significant effort was put into the first 2 games while Bioshock Infinite is just a port of the PC version set to "very high" graphics option (I compared it in the past and it was running on the low graphics on last gen systems). Simply put, the YouTube comparisons don't do this collection justice, because the texture quality has been bumped up by a lot in all three games. Moreover, each game runs in 1080p and presents a crisp and vibrant image compared to the washed out and blurry image of the last gen versions. Frame rate is also 60 FPS in all with some dips here and there. There is also no day one patch for any of the titles, so you can play these games out of the box without a problem. The extras are mind blowing with all DLC thrown in and new features like the developer commentary and concept arts. The packaging is also slick. Considering how much effort 2K put into this collection, it's worth the price than most "remasters" being put out at slightly lesser price. Expand

Conclusion: Bioshock remastered is like his original on consoles from 2007, a bomb of game play. The story plot is great, a unique world under the Atlantic ocean, filled with psychos and tons of items to pick up. This game is sure one of the best fps in history, the unspent venue under water with all his oppressiveness is great and let u feel like the only one who can solve the problems. The graphic runs smooth with 1080p/60 fps and weapons, enemies looks good. With this game you would make a experience that you´ll not soon forget, great Shooter!

The games are excellent as they always have been but with Very nice enhanced texturing and graphics in general. The details of faces, walls, objects etc are vastly improved imo. A new addition of looking for Film Reels to unlock Director commentary is a nice addition as well. A+ and a no-brainer purchase for fans.

One of my Favorite franchises is back and better than ever! The story telling is second to none. Put that with gorgeous graphics and you have yourselves a Great game. I always loved the ability to be able to wield powers in one hand and use a gun in another. I mean who doesn't right?? To me the best one in the series is Infinite. This is a must buy for anyone who loves shooters plus RPG elements!

Now are out with better frame rates and graphics. I play and buy a lot of games every year and this series is at the top of best all time played games. Plus the price is a bargain. Three games for sixty so essentially 20$/game but I preordered on amazon for 48 so 16/game. This is a must buy

The developers provided something unique in an already saturated first person shooter market. Their unique vision of an underwater secret world paid off. The game play is smooth, the action at times is intense and the story is very well written. The final moment in the game (boss battle) was off putting and didn't make much sense and the Bioshock developers even admitted to this. For the trophy hunters, this game is very easy to platinum. 7/10

Bioshock 2 - The best of the three. Bioshock 2 provides the greatest action driven story line in the series. The game remains in the underwater world and provides new and exciting battles and features. The first encounter with a Big Sister will put you at the edge of your seat with intense action from start to finish. For the trophy hunters the game is extremely easy to platinum. 8/10

Bioshock 3 - Bioshock Infinite moved away from the underwater world and into the sky. The game play is much smoother and easier to handler however the story wasn't as strong as its predecessors. Some players may like the new setting however it failed to capture the underwater world we all came to love. For the trophy hunters the platinum is a little time consuming however easy to obtain. 7/10

Combining all three titles ratings this game receives an overall score of 7/10

I think a qualification of 8 is just enough and doesn't deserve more. Why?
Is a nostalgic remaster, it plays with you. In Bioshock 1 and 2 you can notice that the textures are not very well worked, instead... infinite has more power in this section of the game. If the game was not a remaster of this mythic saga, I think my score was a 7... maybe a 7.5.

So that was my whole experience from Bioshock franchise up until the last year when some of my friends and I began to play the franchise on PS4 and eventually finishing Infinite last week. Some critics might point out that the franchise is overrated; however, from my point of view these three games are one of a kind considering suitable price, incredible storylines, and alluring atmospheres.
Regarding the price, one could buy the collection for 60$ which includes the DLCs. Not only these games are fun to play, they give you a chance to experience utopias and dystopias.
As for Storylines, Bioshock 1 and 2 occurs in a city named Rapture beneath the sea with a 8-year gap. Although I believe the second game has a shallower story, it could have a very emotional ending. (These two games have multiple endings based on your choices throughout the game)
From my point of view, Infinite is the flower of the flock; its events occur on a city above the clouds named Columbia. It has a very smart and cunning way of telling the story which astonished me totally. I was absolutely speechless at the end of it.
And considering the atmosphere, as mentioned before the first two games take place in Rapture which has a creepier environment than Bioshock Infinite which I have found to have more awing ambiance.
Generally, Ken Levine has made a great franchise... it is a must buy! You might be impressed utterly;)

The gameplay was very enjoyable, with an array of weapons and vigors to choose from. The atmosphere and environments were very eerie and unique compared to many FPS games.

The third game seemed to throw most of this out the window. The game takes you from the bottom of the ocean to high up in the sky. That's not a problem. What is a problem is that's not all that has changed. You can only carry two guns and vigors at a time, gameplay is painfully linear and again I spent a few hours trudging through it wondering exactly what the hell was going on before giving up, whereas the first two games had enough enjoyable elements for me to see them through to the end.

You can see why these games made quite the impact back in their day, but in today's world they are quite dated. Many of the mechanics are irritating to use. Mysteriously the third game lacks a map whilst the first two did not. Furthermore, the text in the third game is ridiculously small, making simple tutorials blindingly hard.

Honestly, I don't recommend these titles unless you're stuck for something to play or are very curiously as to what the hype was all about like myself. So many games have been remastered for the PS4 and Bioshock is among the growing number that should really have been left in the archives.

First of all.....the intro to the game gave me every emotional feeling that descending into Rapture gave me the first time I played the original game. I could not put Infinite down. After playing a few hours on release day I called out of work sick for the next two days and played. Then the ending came.. I cannot tell you how much time I spent starring at the television once the game was drawing to its conclusion with my jaw dropped. To this day the ending of Infinite goes down to me as the best ending to a game ever. Out of all in the series, Bioshock 2 holds the trophy for being the best in it's series. All of them were excellent games and all had replay value but 2 just held it for me. Dark setting game with over the top gameplay and audio hooked me for hours wanting to do everything. Sad it was fairly short in my opinion but the alternate endings were worthwhile.

    BioShock 2: 65

    JUGABILIDAD:

The first two Bioshock games are very much of the same style, both play out indoors in claustrophobic, confined spaces, or in the darkness of the deep water. The third game opened things up quite a bit more into outside environments, brightness, more space and true weirdness but greatness. All three share great atmosphere, a few scares along the way and give a general vibe that they were put together by people high on something. I loved the mechanics of all three of gradually collecting and then levelling up new gear, and it's generally all really cool with no micro-transactions to be found anywhere, no online shops, just pure single player experience with all the DLC included in one neat package.

Anyone who enjoys FPS single player campaigns, owes it to themselves to get this as honestly, even the better single player campaigns these days like Titanfall 2 are pretty and well done but also short. Getting through all of this is not short, it's fantastic value that should keep you going for a month or two, like it did me.

Le doy un cero a este juego porque COMO ES POSIBLE QUE EN UNA REMASTERIZACIN HAYA TANTISIMOS BUGS, TANTO ASI QUE NO PUDE TERMINAR EL JUEGO PORQUE EN LA PARTE QUE HABIA QUE MATAR A LOS SPLCIER DE COHEN SIMPLEMENTE NO PASABA NADA, SE QUEDA AHI, MUY BUENA JUGABILIDAD Y TODO LO QUE USDS QUIERAN, PERO EL NO PODER CONTINUAR JUGANDO POR ERRORES DEL JUEGO, NI EL BENDITO SKYRIM CON TODOS LOS BUGSLe doy un cero a este juego porque COMO ES POSIBLE QUE EN UNA REMASTERIZACIN HAYA TANTISIMOS BUGS, TANTO ASI QUE NO PUDE TERMINAR EL JUEGO PORQUE EN LA PARTE QUE HABIA QUE MATAR A LOS SPLCIER DE COHEN SIMPLEMENTE NO PASABA NADA, SE QUEDA AHI, MUY BUENA JUGABILIDAD Y TODO LO QUE USDS QUIERAN, PERO EL NO PODER CONTINUAR JUGANDO POR ERRORES DEL JUEGO, NI EL BENDITO SKYRIM CON TODOS LOS BUGS QUE TENIA.

Expand

this should be called Aztec Ball: The Collection (SunGod edition). But it is not. Poor.

Story / Character Development.: I don't think that any of the games on their own had the best story ever but as a whole it is truly a masterpiece. The finale of infinite, how it all started and ended, the many interesting characters you meet. I was just mindblown after I finished the last game. Everything just makes so much sense ( I would also really recommend to do the infinite DLC's).Story / Character Development.: I don't think that any of the games on their own had the best story ever but as a whole it is truly a masterpiece. Graphics / Sound / Atmosphere.: From a technical perspective it's not groundbreaking anymore. it was when it was released. The atmosphere is just another level however and just boosts the overall impression even after so many years.

Gameplay.: Standard shoot mechanics with some interesting gimmicks. Nothing impressive but it was always fun and good enough.

Conclusion.: Still even after so many years one of the best story driven game experiences you will ever get if don't mind the shooter mechanics. They will get better from game to game but aren't as fluid as newly released games.

    Story / Character Development.: 10
Graphics / Sound / Atmosphere.: 10 (not from a technical perspective, atmosphere, sound, design however are top notch)

Love this franchise, particularly the first two. Obviously the first game is just amazing with it's horror elements blended with action. In the second game it's the same thing but I think it's more action but vastly improved on game play and graphics. When it comes to the third game though, interesting story and different take on the franchise but I honestly didn't really like it. ThoughtLove this franchise, particularly the first two. Thought it dragged on a bit and I didn't really care for any of the characters except for MAYBE Elizabeth. Other than that, cool game but felt restricted.

There’s always a man. There’s always a city. There’s always a lighthouse. And there’s always a reason to revisit one of the finest trilogies in the modern gaming.

A modern masterpiece flanked by an okay sequel and a round-off that still delights. This isn’t the Big Daddy of PS3 trilogies, but it’s a circus of value. [December 2016, p83]

Despite there being no real improvements or enhancements to any of these games, it is hard to deny the quality of these three games. The BioShock franchise consists of three of the best games we have seen in the past decade and these are the best versions you can get of them. There isn't much in new content but the base content of this collection alone is an incredible value.
