    This is a boring game. I'd give it a "2" out of generosity. It costed 4 bucks and even that was too much for that game.

    Free game is free, but still boring. Also, why is it so buggy? No point in the playing this or doing a remaster/hd-collection. Because they are all the same. Just play the latest or preorder the next one that is coming out.

    Campaign is one of the worst I've ever played, boring and short. The online version of the game was pretty good in its days but I wouldn't recommend it if you play just for the campaign.

The multiplayer maps are huge filled with useless empty spaces that could reduce a lot.     This is only a review for the single player campaign, because that’s all I played.

    The game has an average story with a few twists and turns to keep you awake through its beginning, but I actually enjoyed the ending. It’s a pretty good war movie about a squad of marines coming together. However, the gameplay was an issue for me throughout.     The game has an average story with a few twists and turns to keep you awake through its beginning, but I actually enjoyed the ending. It’s a pretty good war movie about a squad of marines coming together.

    However, the gameplay was an issue for me throughout. First, you’d better nail your headshots, because otherwise enemies take four, five, or six shots to bring down. That takes a long time, especially when they’re all hiding behind cover. Your best move is to run around them just to speed up the process, but then you might find yourself outgunned without cover, and you’ll die quickly.

    And when you die, the checkpoints are miles apart. There are multiple points where you’ll clear a monstrous path of enemies featuring tanks and folks with mortars right and left, then die in the next section (with its OWN tank and guys with mortars), and you’ll have to clear the first area again. It’s too much.

    On another note, the levels were too long. It took me an hour and a half to do each one, on average. Forty-five minutes is about what is good—double that, and I got tired. (The levels would have been a lot shorter if the checkpoint system had more points of respawn.)

    It was very strange that the main character wasn’t voiced, yet he gets asked so many direct questions. Ha. If you knew you weren’t going to voice the main character, isn’t it better not to ask him things directly, so there aren’t so many awkward pauses? It could have been written differently.

    There wasn’t much mission variety other than the context of each mission. What I mean to say is that each mission gave you a new story you’re involved in, but the gameplay was basically the same other than boats and tanks. Mission variety keeps things moving.

    And, lastly, it was cool that so many buildings could fall apart, but this led to some really clumsy hitboxes and shots that looked totally clear but were actually obstructed (by nothing).

    All in all, not a game I would recommend for the campaign (or, more accurately, a game I would recommend somebody watch a playthrough of rather than play themselves due to all the bugs). I gave it four points because at least it worked (generally), and I did enjoy the ending of the story.    … Expand

    In comparison to the previous part, there's no progress at all. Campaign is boring and glitched. Can be interesting to play only for multiplayer fans.

    Most backward penguin wobbly **** i've ever played. **** punkbuster that kicks you for not cheating, can't be a win/lose ratio as it "balances" mid match. So win/loose ratio is irelevant

    Map selection is okay, and the map changing events were a major gimmick to sell the game, and so battlefield players could use as an elitist argument against call of duty.

    gunplay is **** especially when ADS to hit distant target (RNG system bullet), progression is broken, server filled with hacker especially in asia. almost unplayable.

    Поиграл только в кампанию и она отвратительна. Низко бюджетная забаганая дичь. Прошел за 5 с половиной часов на максимальной сложности. Самого геймплея там на часа 4 все дико затянуто спецом.. Игра будет вас по максимуму замедлять. Тьфу. Я думал колда плоха но поиграв в это колда выглядит не так уж и плохо.Поиграл только в кампанию и она отвратительна. Низко бюджетная забаганая дичь.     Battlefield 4 es un festival de errores. Las armas son muy malas disparas más de 7 veces y las próximas balas salen de manera ridícula. Porque usan dispersión en un juego AAA tanto cuesta poner retroceso como en bad company 2. Para colmo la clase de apoyo es inútil si vas a usarla ni se te ocurra llevar las ametralladoras porque tienen una dispersión ridícula. hay armas chetadisimas comoBattlefield 4 es un festival de errores. Hablando de snipers son muy malos las balas son lentas y lo peor después de los 100 metros ya no matan de un tiro a no ser que des en la cabeza y con una velocidad mala y caída exagerada suerte dando en la cabeza. Los tanques son difíciles de matar porque se reparan rápido y si fallas un lanzamisiles suerte matándolo. Además son rapidísimo les disparas y van a 60kph hacias atrás además hay muchísimos por mapa. Los helicópteros de reconocimiento se pueden reparar en el aire en medio de un tiroteo esto los hace un blanco mucho más difícil. También hay ridiculeadas como que el arma de un antiaéreo puede perforar un tanque. Básicamente no tiene sentido y hablando de antiaéreos estos se pueden quedar en su base quietos y destrozar cualquier helicóptero o caza que haya y de los cazas se puede decir que son inutiles sobre todo el de ataque ya que en este juego si tiras un misil guiado a laser a un bug no lo destruye le hace 48 DE DAÑO. En fin el multijugador es un desastre que no arreglaron nunca. Y del modo campaña siendo sincero no jugando te haces un bien… Expand

    It's a really bad experience in the campaing mode because it has a lot of glitches and the AI is terrible.The multiplayer is still somewhat enjoyable.

    Well started playing bf4 in 2014 when ps4 was still new, and returning back a year later, now this games multiplayer is ruined. This is not a battlefield game, this is call of duty but disguises as a battlefield game, well EA what do you gonna do?, hmmm let me guess nothing. 15 bucks wasted. EA? more like EAvision

    You cannot create your own game with some AI.
    Menu uses the browser. Together with punkbuster creates many errors and problems. having to retype login all the time and random errors here and there that kicks you out of the game. a ridiculously infuriating experience.

    I hate this game.

    horrible networking, a battlelog that doesn't work, and serious server issues due to penny pinching by EA. plagued by bad game, packet loss and lag. If it weren't for the fact that I bought it used for $5 I wouldn't even have tried to play, but in this un-working state, even a $5 purchase feels like a ripoff.

    Battlefield has never been a singleplayer FPS. But for some reason they keep adding it. And what's even the point in doing that? The singleplayer is just 4-5 hours long, Maybe longer if you're playin ln a harder difficulty. And what happened to playing against bots? Anyone remembers that in Battlefield 1943?

    It just seems like everything DICE develops turns out to be a disappointment.

    The multiplayer aspect of the game is just so boring and repetitive. There was just 5-6 maps at launch. Since then DICE added 2-3 more. Unless you own the Premium edition you'll just find yourself playing the same maps over and over. Untill you get bored and delete the game.

    I mea, how much can you f*ck up Battlefield? A couple of maps, 2 teams, vehicles and control points? A bunch of 12 year old cab create a better version of Battlefield than a studio full of grown men and women. 12 year olds woulden't use the same engine for 14 years. Let's just hope the next Battlefield isn't a broken piece of sh*t at launch. Or else the Battlefield series is screwed. They'll just keep pumping out new Battlefield games every year untill people stop buying them.

    So no, don't buy this on any system. Go out and buy Battlefield 1942.    … Expand

    my first opinion for this game was so good . i like the gameplay the graphics the mechanics the atmosphere , everything was perfect till i realise that in 3 days the game is over , it has 6 hours of gameplay , it is so pitty for a game like this i am so dissapointed..

    No giant robots?!?!?! Do not buy this game. It's a complete failure. The campaign is short and boring. Multiplayer...it's ok, but there are a lot of bugs. And no robots. Titanfall is much better.

    Battlefield 4 is no fun playing online multiplayer as the lobbies are usually effected by people hacking or using a similar means to manipulate the game , after all its only a game right? Well this is highly illegal ,and we have always known about it ,and it hasn't magically stopped as some pretend. But dont moderators prevent hacking ? Usually not unless the hacking involves stealing orBattlefield 4 is no fun playing online multiplayer as the lobbies are usually effected by people hacking or using a similar means to manipulate the game , after all its only a game right?     Do the game makers really want us all to be fighting these battles in a sand pit with no sharp edges and with only balloons as weapons so that no one ends up loosing or crying? Stop pandering to those sad creatures/tree huggers who don't like head shots, shotguns, or anything else that might be too much like a real war 'cause they might get scared. These idiots will ruin the game.     The servers are **** 0 out of 10. Nothing fun at all. Takes half the game for your gun to show and map to render. By the way 12 gauge shotgun to the chest from a meter and a half only does 26 damage

    I've been playing this game since release on both PC and PS4. Always been a huge BF fan so I had this on preload for PC and picked up copy I got my PS4. The game released to a very rocky launch filled with issues and bugs specially on PS4. That is not the reason for my score infact it barely has any effect on it. You know what my issue is? How BF went from what was so great in Badcompany 2I've been playing this game since release on both PC and PS4. As a long time BF player I feel like the series has lost it's way. I didn't purchase hard line and I likely will not purchase what comes next. I still play this game but mostly because of a felt obligation after going premium. Too much invested to not get some time in. It must not be too bad if I can at least stomach it right?… Expand

    This game cannot be finished, is full of bugs, had to restart on mission of 1 hour because it got stuck at the end on the campaign mode. The plot of the campaign mode is **** written by a kid, the multiplayer is ok, but it keeps crashing and closing the game so is unusable. Not going to pay for more **** like this or call of duty.

    In comparison with the current-gen of consoles, Battlefield 4 is the shooter for the next-gen consoles. The graphics are even more stunning than before and there’s an ability to play with more gamers on the console. Choose the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One-version above the current-gen versions.

    The issues aren’t ruinous, and in the case of the multiplayer more an inconvenience that EA needs to address than anything else – but it’s enough to take the shine off what should be one of the best shooters on PS4.
