Jan 5, 2017Batman: Return to Arkham bundles the first two entries in the critically acclaimed Batman Arkham franchise and remasters the two to next-gen systems. Overall, this remaster is pretty weak. The games only look marginally better than their last-gen predecessors. I would only buy this if you are a big Arkham fan. For the rest of us, though, we'll give Return to Arkham a pass.

Sep 16, 2020I finished Arkham Asylum and it really is very good. I haven't finished Arkham City yet, but I'm already very disappointed due to the excessive FPS drop in the game. Frustrating and shameful! A PS3 game running poorly on PS4. Arkham Asylum was fine, but Arkham City was poorly remastered.

Jan 30, 2022I liked the Batman Arkham games on PS3. I thought Return to Arkham on PS4 would improve on that. It's just a barely noticeable difference between the two. Only buy if you're a hardcore Bat fan. It's not bad, but not really worth it.

Dec 6, 2016Batman is back on its two first iterations from Rocksteady. Both game keeps being awesome in its mechanics and storytelling, but Virtuos has added new colors that made the games less darker. The games shows new textures and lighting, but its frame rate is less stable than on the original games. Anyway, worth playing if you haven't already.

Nov 9, 2016Batman: Return to Arkham is a good, but not great, package. The games have both aged very well and are still plenty of fun to play, and the remaster allows newcomers to experience them. However, the inconsistent remastering job means that it's tough to be overly impressed. Return to Arkham is effectively a mediocre port of two excellent games. If you've never experience the Arkham games before, then this is a good starting point, but returning fans may be more disappointed than excited by some of the changes. There's still a lot to like in the collection, and the nagging flaws aren't enough to distract from the excellent games.

Nov 1, 2016Return to Arkham contains two fantastic games, with a visual upgrade. Both games are still fantastic, but Asylum has lost some of it's charm. Also both games suffer from occasional framedrops, but nothing drastic. So this is definitely worth your money!
