Axis Football 2020 is a solid, good football that has a deeper Franchise Mode and a lot of options to choose from. There are some flaws but I recommend this to football fans and players who want to know football. A solid improvement from 2019 and a good game to choose. Expand

If your star WR has one-on-one coverage you would throw all day in real life, here it will likely be intercepted. You need to throw to receivers that are open. Run game is a challenge. I'm having success with bunching receivers to one side of the formation to empty out the other side and running to the empty side with a speedy back. Best part of the gameplay is nothing seems scripted. I've had fumbles for touchdowns, safeties, successful onside kicks, punt return touchdowns, kickoff return touchdowns, etc. Games are quick you can play a few in a single session.

Graphics are old school but well done. Nice uniforms with tons of options for customization. Menus are all clean and give nice info. Franchise mode is deep with head coaches, coordinators, position coaches, scouts, draft, free agency, revenue streams from merch, ticket sales, upgrades to your stadium and facilities. Tough to find gems in the draft I got a pretty good receiver but passed up a superstar running back I missed during scouting.

The league uses a promotion / relegation system like soccer. Really well done and fun to try and take a tier 3 team to tier 1. All stat tracking has been spot on. The league will award player of the game honors, as well as weekly and yearly awards.

Slight bug I observed is sometimes my team after a touchdown will automatically be awarded a two point conversion without running a play.

Overall this is a fun game for anyone looking for single player offline franchise mode football.
