Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle adds so much more to the game.

All in all the game is hours of fun but once the initial novelty wears off you might feel a slight tinge of regret. Not because the mechanics or because of the graphics but because of its repetitiveness. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful game and if you’re a fan of the series you can’t go wrong picking this up and playing it at least once.

Final battle makes one small but solid step from AOT 2. The performance on PS4 is poor, nonetheless, it is still worth spending some time for AOT and anime game lovers.

If you are an Attack on Titan fan, you should definitely check out Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle. If you never got the second game, you’ll get the most out of the full release. For those that already have Attack on Titan 2, the extra DLC is definitely worthwhile. The DLC itself is equal to the content of the first game, so it’s more than worth it. It’s very smart to release the next season of Attack on Titan in DLC form, since the second game really struggled with new content and the DLC adds to that rather than taking us through the full story again to get to the new plot points. If you don’t like the Attack on Titan games, this game will not change your mind since it is basically more of the same, but for those that did enjoy the past games, you will get the most out of this release.

With the addition of Season 3 story content, new playable characters, new weapons, and a mode that allows you to reclaim the world from those pesky titans, Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle offers up enough extra stuff to warrant a double-dip.

Final Battle has the same strengths and weaknesses of its predecessor, but it’s a great option for those who want more Attack on Titan.

Expansion that increases the experience of the main game with new weaponry, game mechanics and game modes. It is not revolutionary, but will please to the fans of the franchise and the original AOT2. If you have the base game, this DLC update feels a little bit expensive for the content it offers...

Final Battle's content might not justify it's price tag, yet it has enough to offer to keep fans of the Attack on Titan series happy. It's not the best DLC ever, but it's not a bad one either. It's just right.

    A very respectable tie-in.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle is almost the perfect anime adaptation fans have been looking for. Despite having a considerable amount of content, AoT 2 still feels lacking in some areas, such as the variety in its game modes and a couple of technical issues which may get tiresome for some players. However, AoT 2 shines because of its exceptional combat, it really captures the essence of the anime and makes you feel like a true badass. Even though the combat represents the best part of the game, it's not enough to outshine some of the outdated mechanics that accompany this title.

The fight against the titans is back with this expanded version of the classic AOT 2 game by Tecmo Koei. New game modes, stages and characters are only few of the several new features introduced in this edition.

A steep price tag and its repetitive nature are the worst parts of A.O.T. 2 Final Battle, but we're sure that every Attack on Titan fan out there will appreciate the countless hours of grinding and fanservice that this title can provide.

The best Attack on Titan game available, Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle is everything that the 2018 release of Attack on Titan 2 should have been and is a compelling offering for folks who held off the original release. For everyone else that bought the base Attack on Titan 2 game however, the somewhat prohibitive price point of the Final Battle expansion makes it far less of an essential purchase than it should be.

Where the base game faltered due to content and plot constraints, Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle is the full-blown sequel we've all been waiting for.

It’s tough to recommend Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle for fans of the Attack on Titan story. It’s too samey for fans who already know it and too emotionally stunted for newcomers who would be best served experiencing it through the manga or anime. The character episode mode is an improvement, but it’s too short. The gameplay is genuinely fun, but repetitive and sometimes held back by performance issues. Overall, it’s best suited for Attack on Titan fans who simply want to subjugate titans for an hour or two at a time.

The Final Battle is a very divided experience. On one hand, the Territory Recovery mode features the same blisteringly fast and thrilling action which made Attack on Titan 2 so great. On the other hand, though, the top billing of the expansion is a big disappointment. Season three content is made with a shamelessly little effort, botching up the upheaval and drama it could have had if it were handled properly. Asking a whopping 50 bucks for the expansion alone is a daylight robbery. However, as a bundle with Attack on Titan 2 and the expansion together, it’s a worthwhile choice for those who haven’t experienced the superb action of the game before.

AOT2: Final Battle targets the fans who want to experience again the events from the anime/manga. This expansion adds so many content that it will keep you busy for a long time. But it’s very classic and repetitive.

Im a huge fan of the original comic and this game allowed me to have that enjoyment that i had from reading and watching original comic book and anime. Gameplay was flawless eventho there s a bit of framerate issue but did not bother me at all. it might be a little repetitive at the end but okay. Highly recommend if you are a Attack on Titan fan. Tiene algunas carencias en la jugabilidad pero no lo suficientemente malo como para echar por tierra todo el juego.

ItFirst off this is a fun game and if you loved the anime you will love the game. However, if you hate grinding then you will hate this game. It is repetitive like most games but to the point of annoying. If you are part of the 100% club or a Trophy hunter you will hate this game because of the Gallery. To complete the gallery you have to buy and upgrade every weapon and gear and complete every conversation in the game. I get that the devs what you to keep playing but this goes beyond ridiculous. To get the materials to upgrade you have to play on Inferno but it doesn't stop there you also have to play territory recovery mode and there is no real explanation or help. You can buy some of the materials that randomly show up in the game but you have to grind for what they call Wings of Freedom, which cannot be bought in the form of online purchase, but I am willing to bet would sell pretty easily. Sadly at 200 hours I gave up and moved onto another game. Not because I hated it but because I felt it became tedious for me personally and I was no longer having fun. As for the price it is not worth $60. Full Review »
