Norway and England are both equally beautiful. Really enjoying just free roaming around, exploring hidden secrets and stuff. Performance is fine, graphics are really good. Overall solid game.

It's very much an assassin's creed game, more than Odyssey ever could have been. Hidden blade is back, hood is back, one shot assasinations are back. There's only four games from 2020 that i can say truly deserve to be nominated at "The Game Awards", these are : Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Doom Eternal, Half Life Alyx and Assassin's creed Valhalla. Tony Hawk 1+2 Remake was really nice, but come on, all in all it's not that revolutionary.

From graphical standpoint this game is absolute masterclass, they really hit the nail with both Norway and England. This game's soundtrack is one of the most beautiful and relaxing soundtracks i have heard in long time in any video game. Combat is good, cities look interesting enough. There's many places to climb and parkour on. Overall very good.

reading user reviews i can understand how much the average gamer shouldn't get out of fortnite. we read of people who rate the game 0 because they don't like the Vikings, some just because the hidden blade is above the wrist instead of below, and other stupid children's whines.
Nobody talking about the video game! But are you serious?

Ubisoft is (finally) making great strides. This game has everything you need.Beautiful story, breathtaking settings, excellent skill system, varied and not very repetitive side missions.
For bugs, yes there are, it is now normal that the first days after launch have some. For my part, I cannot say that there are too many and in any case not annoying
This game is worth it. Beautiful and Ubisoft is redeeming itself.
Congratulations Ubisoft, this is the right way.

Solid Assassin's Creed game, other than meh performance at times and some bugs, i have nothing really bad to say. They should bring it to steam, then it would be way easier to review this game. This user score should be way higher than it is, it's very clear that some user has made many fake accounts to give 0's to this.

Absolutely no other gaming company makes these kinds of historical fiction games where you can climb on top of every building, etc. Haters don't care about historical locations at all. They most likely don't even know / care about history that much. They just wanna whine about every game Ubisoft makes, because they think it makes them look cool, but in reality it makes them look stupid, because Assassin's Creed has millions of fans all over the world and they clearly understand the appeal of these games. These are likely more level headed people, so no wonder they don't come to sites like metacritic, they don't even care about places like that. But this site attracts losers who just wanna hate and whine. I Found this news-site from 2017 that was about "fake reviews on AC Origins". Then why has nobody removed all these fake zeros?? Or maybe they don't care anymore, because last of us 2 gets 100s of fake positive and negative reviews every single day. I can say one thing, i will support Ubisoft till the day i die, they make good video games and it's very clear that they get hate because they are popular. If haters would get their way and all these other companies would go away then gaming would be dead because we would get 1 game in 5 years. Because that's all they want. They want only CDprojectred to exist and they hate absolutely everything else and i think i know why. Because they can pirate their games and of course losers will automatically support them. Expand

Extremely fun game, if you actually know what you are doing. If you are used to linear games that tell you what to do at every second then don't even try AC Valhalla, it's clearly not for you. This games focuses on fact that YOU will explore the world, YOU will make YOUR own journey. If you don't like these kinds of games, there's no point trying it.

If they actually think 6 hours long spider-man miles morales is worth that nomination more, then that's just pathetic. I'm not saying spider-man don't deserve it, but leaving Valhalla completely out, while giving some short games spot JUST BECAUSE they are console exclusives is pathteic. Absolutelty pathetic. I'm not saying AC Valhalla needs to get "game of the year" nomination, i'm saying, give it ANY nomination. Music, art direction, best action / adventure game, ANYTHING. It doesn't even have to win, just nomination would be enough. I have been gaming over 10 years, it's my biggest passion and hobby and if this game gets no nominations i might just give up gaming. Literally any joy i feel from gaming would be gone and it would be gone because i would know that i'm part of community that doesn't understand greatness. Most Kraken myths come from Norway region and it's very obvious that Kraken was likely just very large giant squid. At least that's what i like to believe, it makes perfect sense, because they are very similar. Giant squid is very much real, so i'm not sure why all games are avoiding it, past Assassin's Creed games have had giant squid easter eggs, like in Black Flag, so why not this time? There are far fewer cookie-cutter outposts than in previous AC’s, and most sidequests now offer an interesting story, sometimes even with a less-than-obvious solution. While some anti-grind measures have backfired, Ubisoft is on the right track. [Issue#250, page 56]

Assassins Creed Valhalla is a wonderful addition to the AC franchise. It manages to avoid the tropes that became overplayed and focuses on a small well structured story. The fighting mechanics are enjoyable and offer many choices to fit different playing styles. There are a significant amount of bugs and the AI is underwhelming at times. But it's still another step in the right direction for Ubisoft.
