Nov 11, 2020Layla Hassan’s next chapter in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is grand, beguiling, and ferocious, but feels a bit slight out of hand where it doesn’t actually feel like an actual AC game we all know and love. It is indeed the darkest Assassin’s Creed entry you’ll ever play trust me on that one.

Apr 7, 2021I would score this much better if the graphics on PS4 PRO didn’t look so dated and if the combat was more fluid. AC4, Origins and Odyssey all look and play better. There are new elements here like settlement building and the plot (I’m early in the game) seems to be alright.

Nov 16, 2020Jeez Ubisoft ease on with these fake reviews. I know you paid them well this time but at least make it less obvious.

Feb 14, 2021Not bad, but worse than previous parts. Nice environment as always, i would say perfect. I loved the water and the waves especially. The sun's beams are awesome. But that's all. The storyline is extremely weak. Boring. In every location you perform the same scenario... Can't say anymore to not reveal spoilers, but if you don't play this game you won't lose anything.

Dec 11, 2020It's a good game but not as good as Odyssey was. Would have liked to have seen more focus on combat rather than needless filler content. Still, I have enjoyed my time with. it looks gorgeous and traversing the map and synchronizing locations is better than ever.

Nov 15, 2020The first 7 hours are tough because its kinda boring and your learning the controls. A lot of glitches and sloppy combat BUT im 25 hours in and I just keep wanting to play. Buy the game for sure but know its just ok.

Nov 11, 2020Assassin's Creed games feel quite average after playing Ghost of Tsushima. Step it up Ubisoft. This game doesn't have any wow factor. Just your typical regurgitated Ubisoft game. These games need something different. Something new. This ain't it and at today's standards it just doesn't cut it.

Jan 5, 2021So. Many. Bugs and glitches. As soon as I left Norway the bugs came hard and fast. I would definitely have given the game a higher score if it had run well. Also why the American accents in medieval England!? That's just stupid. Other than that though, I think it would have got an 8.not as good as odyssey, but pretty damn good

Dec 11, 2020A vast beautiful open world let down by a boring overly long story and constant crashes!

Feb 14, 2021It's good but I highly recommend beating it as fast as possible. It reuses a lot of assets so you literally do the same thing like 7 times with a slightly different variant.
And towards the end of the game you become so OP that fighting becomes a chore. -

Nov 13, 2020This game is not bad but its not good either, They do good things with the story and graphic, but with all of this I feel unrewarded, the loot pool compared to odyssey is barely existing, exploration is not as fun as it should be the whole map despite is look gorgeous feel like just empty checklist

Nov 14, 2020Huge fan of the recent assassins creed games. This one still scratches the same itch but the lack of interesting loot and the early game bugs took away from the experience. Definitely enjoying it but it’s performance on the PS4 wasn’t great.

Dec 13, 2020Playing this game on a ps4 pro and the graphics are stunning, the story is entertaining once you go past the tutorial in Norway. This game would have been a 9 if it didn't have so many bugs. They're not game breaking bugs.
-
Nov 27, 2020A good Viking game but a bad Assassin game with primitive parkour. A game made to attract the main audio not the fans.

Game World Navigator MagazineDec 25, 2020There are far fewer cookie-cutter outposts than in previous AC’s, and most sidequests now offer an interesting story, sometimes even with a less-than-obvious solution. While some anti-grind measures have backfired, Ubisoft is on the right track. [Issue#250, page 56]

Dec 17, 2020Assassins Creed Valhalla is a wonderful addition to the AC franchise. It manages to avoid the tropes that became overplayed and focuses on a small well structured story. The fighting mechanics are enjoyable and offer many choices to fit different playing styles. There are a significant amount of bugs and the AI is underwhelming at times. But it's still another step in the right direction for Ubisoft.

Playstation Official Magazine UKDec 14, 2020When Valhalla is at its best, it evolves series mechanics. And when you’re cruising down river, about to blow your raiding horn, there’s nothing quite like it. [Issue#183, p.71]
