I think the first AC I've played that didn't give me any wow feeling. Combat is really boring and weird, that slow-down for every attack is so bad for me, I can't fight more than 5 minutes. The story is meh at the beginning so I dunno, seems like a commercial title.

Awful. Just awful. I started this game after completing ghost of tsushima and excited for some good hack n slash. But this game just sucks. The combat is appalling, frame rate dips every minute, endless walking through empty ways, stealth sucks. Just downright disgraceful. Absolute joke by Ubisoft

And the "puzzles".... the god damn "puzzles" to get treasures....boring and repetitive as hell...most of the time I would stop playing the game, its because i´m so damn bored finding the next entrance to a cabin for the 1000 time, which by the way makes no sense at all...why would somebody barred a cabin from the inside without anyway to get in...who closed it? how did they get out? it just breaks the mood and the feeling of any half way "realistic setting".... I actually just stop playing the game right now, because I was so damn bored trying to get into a cabin yet again and I had to write this comment....
And last but not least....the story... it is so damn boring, half of the time I don´t know why the heck I´m doing whatever, because I dont care about whats happening...there is no reason for me to get invested or to care about anything...
And if you read this until the end, first of all, thx ;-) and just so I don´t come across as somebody who just wants to review bomb this game, here my List of favorites (semi) open world games, that in my opinion did a far better job then ibusoft:

I couldn't progress in the main story it is bugged. Literally one of the first main story quests is bugged so that you can't progress any further.

    As for the gameplay:
They removed quality of life things like filtering of photos on the world map. I don't want my world map to be cluttered with pictures I haven't looked at.
The second thing that they negatively changed is the duration of the enemy highlighting after using eagle sense. Previously the enemies were highlighted until you left the area, but now you have to use eagle sense every 30 seconds and they made it a skill to "highlight all nearby enemies when you are crouched and undetected". I guess they ran out of skills and just said: "Let's take away a skill they had forever and give it back, but this time make it so that they have to spend skill points"
You don't the full skill tree, but only parts that you are adjacent to, so you can't plan your character development ahead , which is for me one the stupidest things they could have done in an action RPG game.

The free climbing mechanics are still wonky as they ever have been.
The sounds seems to be off sometimes. I played the female, but it felt like the soundfiles for the male character were played instead of the female.

The game looks beautiful though, that's why it's not a zero score

I would love to say: "It´s a good game and I can`t stop plpaying!", but since I can`t even start the mainquest, because of a bug, which doesn`t alloughs to speak to NPC`s and after a restart my savegames are corrupted, I would say it`s pretty bad progmmed. Ubisoft has given itself and all the gamers out there a major shot in the foot with this one. They have unsuccessfully tried to bring to the AC world things that worked brilliantly in other titles (such as the fishing and hunting missions, so good at RDR2, but so terrible here). The open world is probably one of the worst I have seen in any AC game before, the new combat mode is too bad to put into words, and the story is dull and unoriginal to say the least. But to top it all off, it's possibly one of the worst games I have ever played when it comes to bugs. It is so very bad, that at this point I am not even able to go through with the story because there was a major issue with the latest patch released for the game, where you are unable to advance in the story from the moment you start the mission "A Seer's Solace". Starting this mission will mean that your game will stop working, as the so-very-terrible-to-begin-with open world becomes even worst (it turns into raw unfinished shapes), and the character simply starts falling from the map, not giving out any possibility to keep playing. For the lucky ones who purchased a physical version, I heard it is possible to reinstall, and not updating to the latest patch seems to be a poor man's workaround for the issue, but for the unlucky ones like me who have purchased the digital version, there is no way at all to keep playing. I never thought in my wildest dreams that Ubisoft would be able to screw up this bad. I used to be a fan of the AC franchise, but this game seems to have managed to completely ruin it for me. I don't think I'll ever buy another AC game, and I am avidly expecting that Sony reimburses me for this absolutely terrible purchase, as I don't believe there are enough patches in the world that will be able to salvage it. The game would be fun, but it is nearly April 2021 (after the game was released in Nov 2020) and it is inevitable you will run into several game-breaking bugs involving dialogue not working or dead characters. Ubisoft's bug-fixing process is slow, unresponsive and ultimately unhelpful. At least AC Origins had a 'reload quest objective' commmand.

As separate. The game is good with interesting characters. But as part of the Assassin's Creed series, it's another nail in the series' coffin, turning the good old Assassin's Creed into an RPG game…with a lot of donations. No kidding, donat at least one place chew! And the donat does not affect in any way, and the prices are at the same level as the EA donation!

Bring back the old AC, get rid of the heavy rpg elements, revamp the combat, build a better parkour system, and give us Assassins vs Templar’s. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The old saying "Quality over quantity" sums up the problems of this game. For a game with so much "content" it is incredibly boring almost from start to finish. Having said that I couldn't actually bring myself to finish after I'd already sunk around 70 hours into that damn thing, I wasn't even near finished with it. It is a game that keeps you thinking "any minute now it's going to get better and that switch is going to go off where I'm having fun and locked in" but that moment never comes.

Most if not nearly all of the optional content on the map is absolutely not worth finding and players will learn this very quickly. There are a handful out of the 100s of markers that are interesting but it really does feel like filler to pad out the experience. The story is incredibly boring, dreary, and drawn out beyond comprehension. Once you've taken one region you've taken them all and by the 4th or 5th you're just done with it. You don't care about any of the characters like you might have done in Odyssey say with Kassandra, and as such there is little to no personal investment in any of it.

If you like running around dreary English fields for 70 - 100 hours doing nothing that matters then try it out. I was warned not to but I took a chance and I feel like I wasted 70 hours.

My brother is stuck at the beginning of the game because of a Game Breaking Bug where the Seer’s Solace quest line doesn’t even show up for him so he cannot progress in the game past the 1st quest. It’s been almost two days and there is still no update for it. The combat is so unbelievably bland, boring and easy. It’s actually atrocious. The controls are clunky. The camera is also so far away during combat I can’t see anything. I’m playing on the hardest difficulty and it’s a cake walk. The “social stealth” is an absolute joke. It’s not even a thing. They lied about the fact that they made the world smaller than Odyssey. (It’s actually bigger)
If this game did not have the Viking aesthetic, it would be an absolute flop. The voice actor for Eivor is amazing, love him. Overall, the game feels like they wanted to do something great, but it lacks heart. The graphics are bad, and the character models move weird.
It feels like just another “open world AC game” with a different skin. (don’t just be large for the sake of being large) They have completely lost track of what Assassin’s Creed was, and moved on to something new, that could be cooler, but fails miserably. The Green Elephant (Russian: Зелёный слоник, romanized: Zelyonyy slonik, also known as Green Elephant Calf) is a 1999 Russian psychedelic exploitation horror film directed by Svetlana Baskova. The movie received a limited theatrical release in Russia, as the film's violent imagery and graphic language made it unable to be distributed through the mainstream film circuit. The film was shown at the 2005 International Film Festival Rotterdam and the program commented that the movie was "even more urgent because of the escalation of the war in Chechnya and growing criminality in the Russian army".

The film stars Sergey Pakhomov and Vladimir Epifantsev, and follows two Russian officers locked in a military prison cell that must deal with "social and psychological problems" in their isolation through brutality and torture.

Two men (both being junior officers in Soviet Army, in 1986), nicknamed "Bratishka" (Brother) and "Poekhavshiy" (Nutcase), are being held in a penal military prison. The room which they share looks like a dark cellar with a dripping sewer pipe running through it. One of the prisoners, Nutcase, seems to be delirious and never stops talking. He tells stories of his past, sings the song of the "Green Elephant" circus, does push-ups, comes up with crazy ideas and even mimics a heron in an attempt to cheer up his cellmate Brother, leading only to an increase in his anger. He receives a violent beating from the enraged Brother, before he is then taken from the cell by a guard to clean up a dirty toilet bowl with a fork.

HorrorNews.net wrote an overall favorable review for the film, stating "By the end, we find ourselves asking a lot of questions; of ourselves, of the director, of our television screens. What did we just watch? Why did these people do what we just them do? What does it all mean? I can't answer those questions, but I can tell you that it is an experience that I am happy to have gone through, and I'd definitely be interested in checking out more of Svetlana Baskova's movies. There are far fewer cookie-cutter outposts than in previous AC’s, and most sidequests now offer an interesting story, sometimes even with a less-than-obvious solution. While some anti-grind measures have backfired, Ubisoft is on the right track. [Issue#250, page 56]

Assassins Creed Valhalla is a wonderful addition to the AC franchise. It manages to avoid the tropes that became overplayed and focuses on a small well structured story. The fighting mechanics are enjoyable and offer many choices to fit different playing styles. There are a significant amount of bugs and the AI is underwhelming at times. But it's still another step in the right direction for Ubisoft.
