Unlike the previous DLC, this one brings real new content AND gameplay. Very nice extension of the original game/universe which is a pleasure to explore

Adds quite well to the game. Interesting new story, long-ish campaign and nice bit of new story. I liked this expansion more than I liked the original game and after finishing this expansion, I returned back to the original game map to do secondary quests.

Beautiful, weird, odd but I’m all the right ways. This DLC does something different and excels at it. Definitely worth the $25 by far! An extra 20 hours for that price? That’s bascially $1 an hour.

Curse of the Pharaohs is a massive expansion, even larger than The Hidden Ones. You get half of the base game's map with new areas known as the afterlife, which is hugely innovative. I love that boss fights are much harder and they have unique mechanics that enhance the fight. The endgame is also awesome where you fight enemies three levels above the maximum level of the character, meaningCurse of the Pharaohs is a massive expansion, even larger than The Hidden Ones. The length and story was a lot of fun and Ubisoft is showing some strong performances with ACO DLC's. My only issue was the lack of closure which is reflected in the end of the story here. It doesn't seem to tie into the main story like the last DLC. Another issue was the roaming enemies were just randoms that didn't tie into a side quest, which was a missed chance.

I strongly recommend this DLC to anyone that enjoyed ACO and has tried the first DLC. It's totally worth the time. 8/10.

Okay, as much as it pains me to give Ubisoft a glowing review about anything, holy god did they hit it out of the park with this game! COTP was a stunning denouement for AC Origins. It adds even more depth to an already wonderful game.

The one criticism I've heard is that AC Origins wishes it was the Witcher 3. Well, The Witcher 3 is probably my favorite game of all time. When it came out we saw article after article about how it was becoming the gold standard for open world adventure games. Why shouldn't AC Origins have taken notes and followed a similar formula? That's what a standard means. I think it worked out fantastically too. Honestly, I couldn't give a rat's behind if we saw more open world adventure games done in this style. I'll never get tired of them so long as the story is compelling and the content is rich. Check and check.

The large city, Thebes, is just as great as the base game cities and the undying lands are all unique and special. The story is also great and changes it up from the base game. Where the base game story became repetitive and boring, this expansion keeps the story moving forward and never slows down. If you liked the base game you will love The Curse of the Pharaohs. Expand

The Animus levels ruin the whole experience. Whichever product manager thought that was a good idea, should be fired.

I absolutely hated Assassin's Creed: Origins. Every minute of the ridiculously padded out grindtastic 183 quests. Origins was a monstrosity of a shell of an Assassin's Creed game. Taking everything that make it Assassin's Creed (stealth, precursors, plot) out and replacing it with RPG.

I played the dlc purely because I had it, and The Hidden Ones was more of the same. However, The Curse Of The Pharaos is everything Origins wanted to be. A full-on RPG with mythical elements and grandeur.
Whilst The Curse Of the Pharaos isn't really for me, I can't completely appreciate what it is and say it as great for what it was. Something I can never say for Origins. Although the side quests are still garbage.

One thing to note is the inclusion of discovery tour mode, a cool idea, a walking museum audio tour. I think it's a cool idea and one I wished was added to any assassins creed remaster of prior games, it'd be even berrter in vr.

The Curse Of The Pharaohs is not a bad DLC. There is a lot of content, especially pleased with the appearance of not only the new location of Thebes, but also several new locations from other worlds. Unfortunately, DLC does not expand the lore of Assassin's Creed series in any way. Content in DLC for 15-20 hours.

With this DLC, Origins has really overstayed its welcome. A big new map filled with the samey locations and quests, only this time there is backtracking across the map for the main quest (sure you can fast travel but I can only fire so many arrows in the loading screen). I wish I had stopped with the base game, which I thoroughly enjoyed. At least I have learned a valuable lesson to stay away from DLC in the future. Expand

Assassin’s Creed)

So this DLC is the opposite of the Hidden Ones. If I squint my eyes a bit, I could say it's a full-fledged new game.

The size of the new areas is huge for a dlc. I like the inclusion of mysticism and ancient Egyptian mythology. The ability to battle against Ramses or Nefertiti was cool. The dlc also offers some new and mostly useful abilities that are capitalized on in the afterlife

The story isn't particularly thrilling. It doesn't offend, it doesn't excite.
I was a little sad that there was no final cutscene after the story was finished, like there was with the Hidden Ones DLC.

    So I rate it 9/10.

Amazing dlc. Really unique going to the afterlife and just a lot of content within the dlc. Probably a 8.5 highly recommend it.

Whilst elements of the gameplay were very repetitive in parts, I actually enjoyed The Curse of the Pharaohs more than I did the original Origin's game (which at times felt like it was trying too hard to emulate Ezio from earlier games). Amazing visuals, interesting boss opponents, and using the most of the mythology of Ancient Egypt to deliver a unique experience.

Just more of the same good as in the base. However, I have a problem with lore (I know, lore problem in such a game xD). Because I have no idea how to explain the existence of these afterlife. Bayek claims it's an "illusion" but takes with him things he finds there for example boss weapons. In addition, he communicates with people in this afterlife. But I must say that these afterlife looks great.

I really enjoyed The Curse of the Pharaohs, because it was a lot of fun to explore the brand new map. The team at Ubisoft really outdid themselves with how beautiful the Afterlife looked, and the new enemy types.

As the final piece of DLC, The Curse of the Pharaohs rounds out an attractive and full-featured edition of a bold new direction for Assassin’s Creed. While I still miss the form and function of the older Assassin’s Creed games, I can’t deny that Origins and its DLC has made for a compelling adventure that offers a whole lot of value.

There are 12 hours or so of content in The Curse of the Pharaohs, and while it isn't all good, the pieces that are good, are very good. So good, in fact, that it takes Assassin's Creed Origins and puts it on par - or even ahead! - of Black Flag for best Assassin's Creed game of all time.
