Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – Legacy of the First Blade: Bloodline delivers a heartfelt storm of emotional payoff, and a great punctuation mark on the three-part story. Though the gameplay continues the formula laid out in previous episodes, the new combat skill is a fun and useful addition. But the answers Bloodline delivers are a satisfying send off for the many characters introduced, and the Order of the Ancient itself, all while clarifying Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s place in the overall lore more clearly than ever before.

The final episode of Legacy of the First Blade is a worthy ending to the DLC. It has an exciting, although short, story and interesting dialogues with other characters. The episode also adds a new ability, but doesn't shake up the gameplay in any way.

With Bloodline, Legacy of the First Blade comes to a convenient but still emotional conclusion. This DLC series has done an admirable job of showcasing a hero who, even after all of their adventures, is still just looking for a purpose. This final episode helps enrich Assassin's Creed Odyssey as a tale of love and loss, while also cementing its place in the lore of the franchise. Admittedly, the ride hasn't been anything amazing, but Legacy of the First Blade stands as a fine addition to an already great game.

The weakest chapter of the trio, perhaps because it does not quite conceal the fact that it is a somewhat 'superfluous episode, which tells in three hours what could be said in a cut-scene.

The Legacy of the First Blade's last part delivers a clumsy conclusion to the Assassin's Creed Odyssey journey, by recycling the same missions and mechanics once more, only to lead its story to the end and satisfy some fans of the saga. With a single naval battle, a kind of cheated new ability and a bland last boss, this third DLC runs short on idea, and do not reach the quality of Assassin's Creed Odyssey main story.

Bloodline — the third part of a post-release narrative about love and vengeance, out this week — fails to reignite my passion for the game. If anything, it highlights the reasons for my decreasing desire to play.

It's a solid conclusion theThe third piece of the Legacy of the First Blade DLC is more of what you experienced in the first previous parts. It's a solid conclusion the story arc offering a good ending to the story so far and contains some of the better equipment out of all the DLC and one of the more useful skills. Unfortunately due to choices that were forced upon me in the previous DLC, my ending didn't feel like my own and I had no emotional attachment or care to the ending or how it played out. In terms of length, it's probably the longest piece of DLC, but still only took me a couple of hours to 100%. Give it a miss if you haven't enjoyed anything so far, but for those who have enjoyed the Legacy of the First Blade, I think you'll enjoy this. Full Review »

This review contains spoilers, click full review link to view. Darius becomes an unlikable arse, your unworthy husband/cool wife dies, you go on a revenge journey to get your baby back.
Why didn't the order kill the tainted baby? Why did you go through all this crap and beat the endboss so he tells you were your baby is hidden?
Ubi sent you through a weak, badly written and executed story which makes absolutely no sense. Why making a baby when you send it away. Why making a baby when you are hunted by the cult and are on the lookout for your family?

I was so glad when that unworthy wet blanket of a forced husband died, I didn't care that neema died because i had no real build up and relationship with these persons because all this was cramped into 3 **** executed episodes.

Ubisoft failed on delivering a cool story about Darius and the hidden blade.
Instead we got a forced romance and a **** made drama.

I only played through this DLC to get Darius outfit.
