Judgment of Atlantis, the third episode of Assassin's Creed Odyssey's The Fate of Atlantis story arc, pulls players out of the Greek afterlife, and into its titular watery city.

Atlantis is a gleaming center of science and technology, where humans and Isu - Assassin's Creed's mysterious First Civilization - walk side-by-side in an experiment to create a perfectly balanced society. Under that shining exterior, however, lies a cesspool of corruption and incompetence, where more than a few Isu citizens seem to chafe at the idea of laws protecting humans - and you've been put in charge of deciding its fate.

As a whole package, The Fate of Atlantis is a nicely sized DLC package that could stand alone as a spin-off. Individually, Judgment of Atlantis is the strongest part of that package, so it goes out on a high note.

All in all, Judgment of Atlantis is probably Assassin's Creed Odyssey's best DLC episode. As a standalone adventure it feels the most complete, the setting is superb, and the finale does a great job of tying the Eagle Bearer's story together. While the modern day plot, complete with its awful characters, continues to be the worst part of the experience, it ultimately takes little away from the memorable adventures of Alexios or Kassandra. The Atlantis saga hasn't been perfect, but it has added some welcome weight to an already huge game.

So this is the last episode not only of TFOA but whole Odyssey.

The best part of this episode is definitely the beautiful environment of Atlantis city.
The gameplay is more or less same as previous episodes, clear outposts, search, learn ISU lore, get new set of armor and etc.

You can make couple of decisions that honestly in the end don't matter so much.

But what was the "weirdest" part, when you play as Lalya and you are ambushed by guy from abstergo. Nothing special... but he ambushes you with a stupid stick in his hand. I mean who would do that ? It makes no sense. I understand that he wanted to get Layla alive, but why he didnt use taser of gun ??? Layla was interresting character in AC Origins but how they massacred her in Odyssey is just very unfortunate writing.

But in the end i find this DLC very good. 8/10. Much better than original game.

But the ending is just a failure, I was never able to explain why these 3 episodes were and why I played it all. The visual part is beautiful, everything else is mediocre. As in general can be characterized by The Fate of Atlantis. The dialogues in this addition even weave the original game in blunt. In general it is very sad that having such beautiful artists Ubisoft has no money for normal writers and productions. Expand

The ending of the episode left me unsatisfied.

The baddest thing this episode offers is the modern day conclusion. Lalya was interresting in AC Origins but what they did with her in Odyssey is just bad writing. If the writers intention was to show us that the staff corrupts her and turns her into the antagonist than they failed miserably.

But at least this DLC didn't hetconned the players like in the first DLC.

Sure, Atlantis is a beautiful place (Kudos to the artists!) and because of the verticality interesting to navigate. Also, there are some challenging new enemies and great new weapons and armor. So, they succeeded on these fronts. But the overall narrative is incredibly weak and lacks both coherence and urgency. I repeatedly wondered what I was doing in that realm. What was the purpose of my being there? The common thread is so thin that it has very little weight and significance. I only finished it because I wanted to see the ending but didn't have much fun along the way because of the unsatisfying narrative. Gotta say, I'm disappointed by this one. Expand
