All tho the new dinos are fantastic I am not a fan of the map I would have liked to have a medium sized circle in the middle with a forest biome I truly enjoy the size of the map each biome is the size of its own map and I truly wish that you couldn't walk from one biome to the other without having to use HLNA or otherwise known as Helena and in the ocean biome I wish it was easier to put down the boat because you have to stand on land put down the boat but there's only pillars there is no real land but you can also build a on the pillars which is nice but I still I think you would be beneficial to make it so you can place on a boat easierand I wish that you guys could add these missions to other maps like Ragnarok the island scorched-earth the centre extinction all of these maps it would make a lot more fun if you guys did an update and you guys add them into each map and had like a little boss fight that you could only do after you completed it… Expand

Inspite this still being sold on heavy discount and some of the issues were fixed I would not recommend to buy it.

    While initialy rewarding the basegame with 7, the recent downgrades made me lower that score almost every update til the point I am rating this now.
    Reviewing DLC you never played yourself, is that actualy fair? Normaly no.
    In the case of ARK however, the effect on the basegame is rather disastrous.

    The DLC forced all basegame-only players to accept the "update" that was tailored towards PS5 specs instead of to the system most of us bought the game for. Call it good intentions, good but not smart.
    That same update broke many of the improvements recently made, like the pod mouse-over showing colour and sex. Not just undoing it but completely breaking it to the point you either have no information or wrong information. Fine, that issue was fixed after 2 weeks.

    But the latest "Fix" did not just made people loose acces to their new transmiters on striders (and so making it a very hollow addition) including the tribute inventory, it also broke one of the core mechanics of the game for all new players and people not having the DLC.

    EGGS WON'T HATCH ANYMORE WITHOUT THE INCUBATOR. Which engram is restricted to DLC buyers only and so cutting breeding away from the basegame.
    Playing online? You'll be depending on the goodwill of others. Playing solo? Good luck...
    This is unforgivable, therefor the DLC deserves the low rating of 1.    … Expand
