This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Once you get past the extremely disappointing realization that you’ve been conned by the official trailer for this game (not one second of footage from the trailer comes from the actual gameplay), there are a few enjoyable aspects of this game. But it could have been so much more.

Movement via instant transportation detracts a bit from feeling immersed in the game, but I don’t find it all that awkward. More disappointing is the extremely limited area of exploration in the handful of individual locales on the “Exploration” maps, and the fact that the dinosaurs have only one scripted routine in each location and you can’t really interact with them (though some will respond to feeding or bouncing a rock off of them). For the most part, it’s like they’re animatronics in a Disney attraction.

The battle maps are simply wave shooters, and are pretty easy after you’ve worked your way up to the heavier firepower. And don’t bother looking around on the maps for dinosaur eggs, you acquire them on occasion when you kill the boss in the battles.

Bottom line, there are dinosaurs in this game, but they’re few and far between (except when you’re killing them), and you won’t have much opportunity to interact with them. The graphics are actually rather primitive, nowhere near as good as Skyrim VR, for example. Gameplay has some enjoyable aspects, but this is basically a $5.00 game in a $50.00 package.

Another PSVR tech demo with poor controls and terrible presentation. I can’t believe i wasted $500 on a PSVR, disappointment after disappointment with this thing....

Nope, try again. Good visuals but silly scope. They tried for a cash grab and failed. Nothing here actually worth playing. Plenty of VR games better worth your time than this one.

A buggy mess. Got stuck on the tutorial twice and had to reset. If you give the dino the apple before the game wants to you to it's too stupid to realise and just gets stuck on "open backpack" then it's close application and do it all again. Thought I'd switch back to teleport as free locomotion is so slow but apparently I cant, there's no options screen

Fully deserved zero, as Ark Park is the worst VR game I've ever played and probably the worst game I've ever played. I admit that the rating for the game itself should be 1-2, but it should also be noted that the price of the game is high, and in all stores it is promoted by nicely looking trailers and screenshots, originating from promotional materials made for the exhibitions. We have to deal with even greater **** than in the NMS.
Gameplay is woefully short, the animations look like they're from an asset store. On the graphic side, the PS2 level has been preserved. Everything is fuzzy due to the low resolution textures, water is just a flat surface that does not react to other objects. Exploration maps are basically only 5 room-size locations. All unlocks are completely useless. Multi of course doesn't work due to lack of players. One of the maps is a several minutes drive in a car, but it also is broken because the authors did not find time to correctly position the player in the vehicle.
Moving the player came out tragically because you have to pay attention to the position of the camera after the jump and as a result the movement is very irritating. In general, the control of the game is clumsy.
And the whole plot is closed in a tutorial.
Simply put - Ark Park is a product implemented too fast and at a low cost, feeding on players who, tempted by relatively nice screenshots, will be fooled by idea of adventure with dinosaurs in VR.

ARK Park was meant to be a virtual dive in a dinosaur park, bad and dishonest, it looks more like carnosaur the video game.

Ark Park is not the game we hoped to recommend to all owners of PlayStation VR.

A VR game that looks and plays almost like it was born during the PS2 era.
