    Arcade Mode alone is enough to get me back into playing the game regularly, but aside from that there’s still enough new additions here to make this an easy recommendation for anyone.

    Taking its inspiration from 80's and 90's shooters, Aqua Kitty DX is simple, frenetic and fun. What it sets out to do, it does very well, and the end result is charming, challenging, and purrfectly addictive.

    With tight controls, fun gameplay, and charming presentation, it's a strong example of the genre. Unfortunately, it never dares to be anything more than a heavily retro-inspired romp, and this strict adherence to the tried and true means that it fails to carve out its own identity.
