There is no question that Apsulov is a flawed work that can sometimes be incredibly frustrating to play, but by fully committing to marrying science fiction and Norse mythology, it ends up in a good place. I can be forgiving of gameplay faults if the overall experience is as enjoyable as it is in Apsulov and it is safe to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.

The arrival on consoles of Apsulov: End of Gods confirms the positive aspects, but also all the negative ones of the original PC release of 2019.

    It's a horror/discovery/scifi/myth adventure.

Story was great, so I am not going to spoil it. I loved the twists and turns.
Gameplay wise, the "combat" isn't the best part of the game but it gets the job done.
Level design was fantastic. A lot of horror games like to add in parts where you intentionally lose your way, but I don't find that enjoyable, this game does not make that mistake. I also appreciate they didn't add unnecessary gore just for the shock effect, everything is functional for the general feel of the game.
It is a game which isn't overly long, but it doesn't outstay its welcome that way either. I prefer this over being put through a lot of filler content.
