A Boy and His Blob is an easy recommendation and one that had me grinning from ear-to-ear throughout its entirety.

A few years older now, A Boy and his Blob might not be the masterpiece some people remember, but it's charming, beautiful and very engaging. It is indeed a game easy to recommend to those looking for one of those experience that are rarely made anymore.

It's sure to put a big smile on your face, but doesn't entirely satisfy as a puzzler. [Apr 2016, p.89]

This punch-pulling retro update is charming and beautiful but doesn’t quite have the mind to match.

a very charming puzzle plattformer with some very clever level and art design

very slow pace might turn off quite some players though: movement and also your blob companion are reacting pretty much like a chewing gum, but one gets used to it pretty fast.
Graphics are still very good too, although there could have been more to update it
The games a bit lighthearted and is not all that of a long journey
I was really lookin forward to it and tbh Im a bit disappointed
Never the less a good game thats would have needed just a little bit extra overhaul
Plattform and Puzzle Fans wont go wrong with this - its charming all over ^^

The game features a sort of Winnie The Pooh-esque art style with a rustic aesthetic. The controls don't feel good, and you move quite slow. I found myself not knowing where to go a lot and with the movement speed and lack of intuitive controls the game was hurt a lot. A very unique idea, and I loved having my little Blob friend follow me around, and the usage of beans to transform him is super cool. Besides the cool bean mechanic this game really does have slow-paced gameplay with semi-unresponsive controls and I found myself getting hit by enemies while standing on platforms above them somehow, which felt quite unfair as the level starts all over at death, adding to the painful slow pace. I found this title uninspiring in a market filled with amazing platforming experiences. I can see why people like it as it has a lot of charm, but the gameplay downsides hurt the title.
