    The frantic nature of the gameplay coupled with the appropriate difficulty of the game combine to deliver a fresh experience that is best suited for co-op play. While the game’s shooting mechanics could be more precise, it almost adds an extra layer of strategy and randomness that, in a peculiar way, makes the game more enjoyable. And while the combat soundtrack is downright boring, the exploration soundtrack is lively and a whole lot of fun to play to. 8DAYS is a game of ups and downs, but its sky-high positives outweigh any menial negatives in this 1980’s era dual-stick shooter.

    If you are looking for a personality soaked nostalgia piece, that is as charming as it is challenging, then 8Days should fit the bill quite nicely. Though far from perfect, its charm helps cut through the frustrating quirks and lackluster checkpoint system. For some reason, even war crimes are more fun in 8-bit.

    Very underrated and unheard of game. Plays very similar to Hotline Miami. Came in with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. IVery underrated and unheard of game.     El principal problema de 8DAYS es que no ha conseguido (o no ha querido) desvincularse por completo del género base del título, el de losEl principal problema de 8DAYS es que no ha conseguido (o no ha querido) desvincularse por completo del género base del título, el de los stick shooters, ofreciéndonos momentos que se sienten descolgados como tiroteos masivos con SWAT o jefes finales metidos con calzador que lo alejan del nivel de genialidad alcanzado en la variedad de géneros y situaciones que toca a lo largo de sus cinco capítulos.

    A modo de título táctico o de sigilo es cuando muestra sus mejores bazas, dando una satisfacción completa al jugador tras completar sus fases tras muchos intentos. Pero no es un título para todo el mundo, ya que es de una dificultad bastante elevada y su desarrollo lento puede tirar a muchos para atrás.

    Sin embargo, cuando todo funciona, es una pequeña joyita a la altura de indies como Hotline Miami y su secuela, que le ha faltado un par de horas mas en el horno y desprenderse por completo de momentos innecesarios y de relleno para alcanzar todo su potencial.    … Full Review »
