Oct 25, 2011The interesting skill-based challenges and snappy, funny writing give Never Die Alone surprising legs the flop first game wrongfully assumed it had.

Play UKJan 9, 2012Good fun in short measures, this is ultimately geared for multiplayer, so unless you have a willing team on standby then it's probably best avoided. [Issue#213, p.96]

Official PlayStation Magazine BeneluxJan 2, 2012Zombies. Twin-stick shooters. Shooting. That's a good description of the gameplay you can expect in this slaughter fest. Not a bad game, but if you want to kill off zombies, you are better off with the comparable, but much better Dead Nation. [December 2011, p.100]

Nov 25, 2011"Yet another zombie game" would be the most direct definition of Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone. It offers everything you can expecto from a zombie game: zombies, action and cooperative play. The problem is that it is not that different from other games (and its previous installment), so although it offers fun and entertainment for some hours, it doesn't bring anything actually new.

Dec 5, 2011Never Die Alone needed a lot more playtesting by actual humans before it should've been released. There's a lot here to like, but there's also a lot here that seems like any reasonable person would've said something a lot sooner than this.

Playstation Official Magazine UKJan 8, 2012The mechanics are nothing new and the shooting's oddly twitchy. [Jan 2012, p.114]

Nov 17, 2011Backbone did a good job by implementing gameplay that is obviously meant for four player co-operation. Never Die Alone is quite challenging, requiring a bit of tactical thinking. The last levels will bore you however, because the game is rather monotonous.
