    If you own a PS3, and are looking for the definitive car combat experience, you know where to look. This attempt feels exactly like what it is; a cheap knock-off that defines the phrase, 'you get what you pay for'. I couldn't, in good conscience, recommend this game to anyone looking for a good experience in the genre. It simply isn't fun.

    If you are really dying to taste some carnage on wheels, don't be shy and buy Twisted Metal. Wheels of Destruction is so low budget it hurts. [July 2012, p.85]

    While on paper that might sound like a good idea, in practice not so much. Cars are sluggish and painful to manage while the core gameplay feels unbalanced and oversimplified.

    It may be technologically succinct but in neglecting the needs of solo players and bypassing what makes the car combat genre so engaging, Wheels of Destruction leaves an unmistakably sour taste. If you're gagging for another arena-based car game post-Twisted Metal, we'd strongly recommend hanging around for Psyonix's SARPBC 2.

    Plenty of maps and mutators, enough vehicles to please ever type of player, a good selection of weapons, nice looking graphics and spot on sounds.
    With upto 12 people per match (bots and online) will mean there's always a way to play even if the servers are quiet.
    If you're fed up with boring CoD and fancy something a little different then I can highly recommend this terrific little title.    … Full Review »

    Mix of TeamFortress2 and Twisted Metal. Several classic game modes - Deathmatch, TeamDeathmatch, CTF. 5 different classes, 5 maps (hope DLCMix of TeamFortress2 and Twisted Metal. It's simple to pick up and play, with the controls feeling instantly intuitive, but getting to know when and where to use certain weapons and car classes takes time, adding plenty of depth to the gameplay. It's horribly boring with terrible controls and a lackluster community, even on day one of the game being out. I recommend you skip this one and look elsewhere for your vehicular combat enjoyment. This game wouldn't stand a chance even if it came out before Twisted Metal. The other high user reviews must be devs because I can't see anyone praising this game.… Full Review »
