The control feels weird and a bit clunky (at first) but after a while it feels really good, just like surfing. The pump and combo control is addictive, so they did a good job there and you can tell they put a lot of thought into that. Some of the commentary is a bit repetitive and annoying, and so are the character voices but you can turn then off. I liked the way they made it feel like a WSL TV presentation in the main game, that was really good. More like the sport. Graphics are ok, nothing to write home about but for a PS3 game they are acceptable - 720p so it would have been nicer at 1080p. When I run it up against my old Kelly Slater and Transworld Surf on PS2 then you can see it holds its own. It's actually better gameplay in a lot of ways. The jetski is a bit novel and I liked the way you get to drive and pull the surfer into the wave. Haven't seen that before, so that was cool. I liked having to manage my surfboards and they snap so that was also different. Split screen was nice but no online so far, so that's a bummer. DLC is coming so if they do it then that'd be good. In all, surfers should like it but its really niche and if you don't surf then it probably won't appeal. Expand
