You would get the same experience you get from Beatles: Rock Band that you would from a massive playlist of their music. The songs aren't fast paced enough for you to stay awake and enjoy yourself alone. The background animation is amazing though, unfortunately trying to watch the glorius show behind your button line is impossible without stuffing up. What I enjoyed most about it was being able to have my friends over, we all love the Beatles, and made use of all 4 instruments, singing along and enjoying ourselves. By yourself though, really, there's not enough. No drum fills make drums boring for one, however singing and guitar say strong. It's a great thing to own, but there is the chance you will regret owning it. Expand

Honestly this game lacks in a lot of places. I love the Beatles (my favorite band) and I enjoy playing the rockband/guitar hero games. It looks awesome and essentially is the same as the rest of these music games. My only problem is that it lacks depth and had fewer songs then I expected and they left out some of my favorites. I am looking forward to the down-loadable songs though (when Honestly this game lacks in a lot of places. I love the Beatles (my favorite band) and I enjoy playing the rockband/guitar hero games. 1. Fans of the Beatles will feel like they are back in time! Only the weak story mode blurs the fun for young and old.
  2. The Beatles: Rock Band is as much a documentary as it is a game. The Beatles’ venerable music catalog is a great compliment to the Rock Band formula. This game is successful in both drawing new players to the music game genre and exposing a new generation to the music of The Beatles.
  3. Harmonix has done a remarkable job of bringing the Beatles' music to life in an interactive setting, devoting enormous attention to the details of history and authenticity that Beatles fans demand. The developers also added their own flair to the game, making this the most aesthetically beautiful music game to yet release. [Sept 2009, p.80]
