Supremacy MMA

This can't contest Undisputed as an MMA game, nor the best fighters on beat-'em-up terms. Yet there's a place for it, simply 'cause no one has bridged the gap between these genres. So, who wants to step outside?

Weak fighting system, sluggish controls, laughable stories and general lack of thrill make it a major disappointment. If you're a fan of MMA, buy EA Sports MMA or UFC Undisputed, because the only thing that can be fun in Supremacy MMA is its brutality (and this effect wears off quickly). [November 2011, p.58]

Overall, it's an awesome game if you have the reflexes of a jaguar and can second guess every opponent's next move but for most humans it will just be a whole lot of frustration and not nearly enough reward.

Each fight is punctuated with some of the worst metal music I've ever heard, and fights generally end in unrealistically gruesome finishes. Really, I haven't seen this many broken necks and snapped limps in a fighting game since Mortal Kombat​.

It's an altogether bad game, with gameplay either being severely lacking in major ways or just buggy beyond belief. However, it does have some really good ground and pound animation, and some other redeeming features that make it at least worth trying once.

It's very generic, very hard to control, and it simply doesn't hold your attention. It's not the worst generic fighting game out there, but it's certainly not one of the better ones.

A failed game, whose initial idea was attractive and different, and might have become an alternative to the two dominant series. Unfourtunately, 505 Games has failed implementing it, resulting in a lackluster game with a very bad control.

Poor and coarse, Supremacy MMA is a big disappointment. Little content and no play satisfaction for a title that has good and new ideas but doesn't know how to carry them out. Violence and blood are the main attractions. Very bad, 505 Games...

It promised a light-hearted take on one of the world's most serious sports and it never gets anywhere close to showing that. Poor character designs, terrible mini-narratives, and a broken fight system make this a waste of time and effort. Fans of MMA might satisfy some blood lust, but for everyone else, it shouldn't even register on your gaming radar.

The gameplay can be addicting, but similar to its overly violent theme, it's a gimmick that washes quicker than blood.

With barely enough content to even match a downloadable title, Supremacy MMA would be an incredibly hard sale even at a budget price. Despite lacking variety and a moderate sense of depth, the gameplay is enjoyable though ultimately not strong enough to balance out the game's numerous flaws.

Supremacy MMA is a fighting game sporting brutal combat and brutal graphics. Caught somewhere between sport simulation and entertainment violence, it fails to achieve much success with either, resulting in a title that is probably only of interest to those too young to buy it.
