None of which are fixed in this version. But the game's fun, it's spirit and It's sheer force of will simply refuse to be undone by the myriad of faults lurking within. With 6 unique characters, an awesome storyline, and a 3d engine that dominates all engines that have followed it, Sonic Adventure is the perfect game for sonic fans and a good game to check out even if you're not a sonic fan. I enjoyed this game 100%.

This game may have not been Sonic's first 3D game, but it was the first 3D Sonic game to do it right. The Playstation Network version does fall a little short, but it's still fun.

Played this when i was younger, by that time it was awesome, one of the best games on the Dreamcast, when the port was announced i was extremely happy, by the end though it seems the title didn´t aged pretty well, play with Sonic and Tails and have fun but the other 4 are clunky or boring, it´s still a good game

Sonic Adventure offers much more beyond the completion of its story then any recent entries such as Sonic Unleashed or Sonic 2K6 (erghh i don't know why i even mentioned this one). Fans of the Sonic series will definitely be pleased with the return of Sonic Adventure as it carries all the features from the original game!! Please ignore the critic reviews as it only judges based on the aging of a 10 year old CLASSIC, but yes the cameras can still be frustrationing as well as the lack of a widescreen option (only 4:3) can deter the experience but believe me this is one experience you don't want to miss!! I know hardcore gamers like me should be grateful that the Dreamcast is getting love... But I gotta say that this game really hasn't aged well. I find myself bored trying to beat it with everybody.

    A for nostalgia, tho.

As horrible as it was on Dreamcast. Why would anyone like to remember this game? Sonic starred in a couple of great games and then many awful games. This is one of them, I can't find anything good to say about it.

The PS3 version of Sonic Adventure is oddly just an emulator running the Dreamcast version. It doesn't support widescreen, has a weird box around the screen, and has no new features. It's a cheap cash in by Sega, but it's still a game I really like.

My old review for this got ruined by some hacker, so I'll just restate my points.

SA1 has a variety of gameplay styles, most of which work really well. It has stages that support these styles quite well. The hub worlds and chao gardens are downright addicting.

    Graphics: 10/10

The graphics look amazing, given it's time. They really look beatiful, and very gorgeous. All the characters move well and they don't move like robots. But there's one big disturbing thing; the lipsinking. It's just baad. They move their lips way too much to say one word. But its so stupid its kinda funny actually.

    Story 8/10

Uh, its a mess. Eggman tries to get hold of these criatures called Chaos with the Emeralds, and that's it. I say its a mess because of the utterly amount of playable characters; 6, and it kinda gets you lost. with all their persepctives, specially Big The Cat, who is just dumb filler that serves little purpose to the plot. But with that said, it is enough to get you engaged, and since this is a sonic game, its not really a matter.

    Gameplay 8/10

Most of the characters have really great control and are a lot of fun playing, although that ain't meaning they are that good to play. Sonic and Tails' stages are the highlight, focusing on high speed. Knuckles is more about exploration, and because the Emerald pieces are always in the same place, you can search for them without being furious. Gamma sections are ok too, but let's get into the interesting ones. Amy's are really simplistic and very easy, not really that much of a challenge, but again, great fun. Then there is Big The Cat.
Oh boy, Big The Cat. All detest this guy, with reason. His sections are very tedious and just complete timewasters, to the point of frustration, and they are required to unlock the final story. Another complaint is the hub world; sometimes it isn't explained where you are supposed to go, and the map doesn't make this clear either. Really a sloppy mess. Other than that, its pretty great and a lot of fun.

Overall: A lot of fun and really recommendable for Sonic fans. Don't really hoping someone else like it though.

I often consider "Sonic Adventure" to be the first true 3D Sonic game. Where "Sonic 3D Blast" was an isometric game, "Sonic Adventure" was the first, for lack of a better way of saying it, "freeform" main series 3D game. It was also my first introduction to the "Sonic the Hedgehog" series. Where "Sonic 3D Blast" was an isometric game, "Sonic Adventure" was the first, for lack of a better way of saying it, "freeform" main series 3D game. It was also my first introduction to the "Sonic the Hedgehog" series. I still remember being 6 years old, getting the game for Christmas with my brand-new, shiny silver GameCube, and thinking to myself, "what in the world is Sonic?" I had many fond memories with the game as a child, and upon revisiting the game, I find myself still enjoying it.
"Sonic Adventure" is still a boatload of fun to play, the visuals are still great after so many years (even if the models aren't great), the soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard in any video game, and there's a lot to do here. Beyond there being a lot of content, there's some good variety here, and maybe I'm the only one that thinks this, but even the lesser characters in the game (Amy, Big, Gamma) are still pretty fun to play if you know what you're doing.
That said, the game isn't perfect. For starters, the cutscenes make for good riffing material (the models are "meh" and the voice acting is rough), the camera can be atrocious, and even though I mention that the lesser characters can be "fun," they are pretty unnecessary all-around and the game could've benefitted if they just included Sonic, Tails and Knuckles and extended their stories with more missions.
All in all, "Sonic Adventure" is one of those games that I wanted to give an extremely high score to because of nostalgia as well as its standing among other 3D Sonic games, but unfortunately, it is flawed in a number of areas, which does hold it back from being a 9 or a 10. Even so, "Sonic Adventure" has, for the most part, held up very well, and it's still a blast to play even if you're not a fan of the 3D Sonic games.

This game is alright. you can play as multiple charaters to get the whole story but two of the charaters are boring and have nothing to do with the story. Sonic is fast and is the funnest, tails get to the end first, knuckles treasuring faster than SA2, Amy stages are sonics but more platforming, BIG fishing, Gamma is too easy. if your curious play it if not don't play

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I got this game around December along with its sequel on PSN, and I was very impressed! Like most Sonic games anyway, Sonic Adventure is all about speed, and fun gameplay. Choose from 6 stories, each unique, different, and enjoyable. Well, except for Big. Sonic is, you guessed, speed oriented, Tails is racing style, Amy is like Sonic but slower, newcomer E-102 Gamma is combat oriented with lock-on shooting mission style gameplay, and second newcomer Big having slower, relaxed gameplay, but slightly boring. The camera will throw you off at times, and a big downside is the game isn't fullscreen like its younger brother's display, it's bordered. But overall its a great game and you will love it. Expand

The game is really fun for me, but I grew up playing the game, so a lot of the amusement came from nostalgia. I could see how people could be turned off by this game because it is very linear, very easy, and sometimes glitchy. Also, the whole Big section is terrible. Any Sonic fan would love it, but it is definitely not for people who don't like the franchise.

I did not play the original version and did not beat the whole game in this version either, but I played enough to know there was something wrong with me and the game. I think I just found it a bit boring, despite the graphics and the controls being relatively nice. It is a pity, as I always try to finish almost all the games I start.

Raising a Chao is kind of difficult, Amy's gameplay is much slower and bit too clunky, Big's fishing levels is by far the worst thing in this game due to the game length of fishing is way too long and it's too hard to catch Froggy.

E123-Gamma or GAmma for short is okay and he can shoot things, hover and be doing a lot of fun things but it was not the best.

Knuckle's Treasure Hunting was also okay that he can go explore all the emerald pieces but there is a bit distraction with the located sounds at the same time, should it be stick to one.

Sonic and Tails are both the best part since they both go accelerating fast to have some face-paced fun such as snowboarding, casino and skipping level routes.

The Hub Worlds are a ton of fun where you can run around. If you hate the game just because of the character design and still didn't like them, I Highly recommend this one and have a gameplay shot for a little while to open your mind a little bit.

The people that dislike Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 need to git gud. The Sonic franchise peaked at this era and took a nosedive afterwards.

It's not perfect but it's a damn good game and has a well written(relatively for a sonic game) yet delightfully silly story and amazing soundtrack and art style at a level that has never been achieved in a Sonic game since.
