Mar 19, 2013Satisfying stealth and shooting make Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 a notable improvement over its predecessor.
-
Official PlayStation Magazine BeneluxApr 22, 2013The downside of this more deliberate pacing is that the lack of variation. Every mission goes as follows: take out a few guys or sneak past them if there are too many, get to a high vantage point, rain death from above. Not the worst design in the world, but pretty predictable. [April 2013, p.86]
-
Mar 20, 2013It’s better and more focused in the sniping core mechanics than its predecessor. If you can ignore the irrelevant story and the minimalistic multiplayer you might discover a decent shooting experience.
-
Apr 3, 2013Overall, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is better than its predecessor in just about every way possible. It’s just too bad that it needed to be a lot better in order to be considered “good.”
-
Play UKApr 23, 2013A budget shooter in every sense. [Issue#230, p.72]
-
Mar 18, 2013Sniper 2: Ghost Warrior cannot get over its predecessor, despite a graphics engine with great potential and a better interpretation of the sniping dynamics.
-
Apr 4, 2013City Interactive appears to be incapable of learning from its past mistakes. Even the utilization of the CryEngine 3 is worthless in this rather weak title.
-
Apr 21, 2013Ghost Warrior will not stay in anyone's memory and probably is more worth playing the few sniper missions than other FPSs already have. It should be more fun.
-
Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaApr 3, 2013Think of every single sniping mission in Call of Duty all crammed together into four hours of nonsense terrorist stuff, but not nearly as good and you have Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. It’s a beautiful display of third world foliage, but you won’t be exploring it in any detail, great or not. [May 2013, p74]
-
Mar 22, 2013Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 feels like a bad parody of military shooters, but with poorly textured environments and sub-par mechanics. I like being the lone-wolf sniper as much as the next shooter fan, but City Interactive fumbles the power-trip from start to finish.
