    SkyDrift fell out of nowhere to surprise us with solid gameplay and a nice sense of speed. Sure, it could have used a bit more combat, but it is a racing game at heart, and a decent WipEout knock-off. Definitely worth a look.

    SkyDrift is a fantastic plane racing game that stands out among its inspirational peers. While a lack of local multiplayer is noticeable, it doesn't detract from the charm and balance that gives it such great potential.

    While not perfect, this game is still a lot of fun. The definition of easy to play and tough to master, SkyDrift is an addictive romp for those willing to take the time to learn how to become the Dominic Torreto of the skies.

    Something's just beautifully chaotic about the savagery of nailing other planes amidst serene-looking landscapes. This is a fun, arcade-style racer that offers surprising depth and rewards smart play.

    This is nice to look at, but a lack of content prevents it from holding your attention for long. In that respect, Skydrift sort of serves as a distraction game to hold you over until the next major release shows up.

    The game won't wow anyone, but if you like arcade style racing games along the lines of Blur with planes–I mean, come on they're planes!–you'll enjoy SkyDrift. It's only a lack of more content that holds it back from being even better.

The basic gameplay and controls are so perfect. The right stick to do hard turns is genius and I am surprised nobody thought of it before. The problem with SkyDrift is the lack of maps. Single player has a lot of levels to beat but it is the same maps (I think 4) over and over again and doing the map in reverse doesn't create that much of difference. I got tired of playing it after about 30 races as I was sure I wasn't seeing anything new and just facing tougher and tougher opponents. It is sad because shooting down opponents is such a blast. Online is fun on the standard race however the speed races keep coming up in rotation and those are boring. The online interface is confusing. I am not sure if there is a way to only play the standard race. There is some DLC for a new multi-player mode but it seems like a waste of money because 5 people will probably buy it. They should just patch this game with more maps and it would be a 10. Overall I think this game is worth buying as there isn't much else like this. If you like Mario Kart but you think it would be cooler if it was in planes, this is your game.… Full Review »
