Unless you’ve slavishly scoured every inch of the first two Skate games, it’s hard to recommend throwing down a large slab of cash for this update.
  2. If you like the previous Skate games, you'll probably like Skate 3 as well. It's a rock solid skateboarding simulation and it's both fun and easy to create your own skate parks. But if you don't want to play online, Skate 3 feels a little bit bare boned and is more like an upgrade rather than a brand new experience.

While refinement might be the best way to make a good game better, it certainly isn't the best way to justify the cost of a second sequel in as many years. [June 2010, p.101]
  4. It was a great concept, but the third instalment has disappointed. There really isn’t much depth to be found with Skate 3, due to the short career mode and lacking extra features.
  5. Pleasant, but a bit on the light side for series aficionados, and very forgettable if you don’t play online.
  6. With Skate 2 released just a little over a year ago, it’s clear that Skate 3 was pumped out too quickly. The ideas are great, but the lack of polish is evident with every flip, flop, and flub.

Steering was hard, and adjusting the wheels did not help. Now, it's easy to maneuver. The Hall of Meat in Skate 2 was a bit stiff. Now, the player has more control, and the possibility of head-on incidents with saloon cars grows higher every time I play it. The story is a great idea. Legendary skater starts company and sells a million boards? EPIC. And in multi-player, its fun to just whack them with your board, or judo kick them in the face. I see no faults in this perfect installment. Skate 3 defines skateboarding video games. Full Review »

The story is just a background for the fun so...it's cool. This game is not amazing but it's far from being bad. I would give it an 8/10 if it the game were free of bugs...but it's not! It's infested (nothing compromising, but stressing sometimes) Full Review »
